Sorry for not posting anything earlier today, and also for not having a Live Chat today. We’re undergoing a minor change that should alter the look of the blog somewhat (I’m not sure how to define “somewhat” yet) and hopefully will increase the speed of the blog comments and decrease the downtime. The changes should not affect the way you comment or anything that you do, other than to make it better.
Hopefully the changes will happen at some point today and prior to the home-and-home with the surging Hurricanes Saturday and Sunday.
In Rangers news, Derick Brassard returned to practice today, between Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello, so it looks like he’s a go for tomorrow, which means the Rangers won’t need to recall a forward from Hartford with Lee Stempniak out with the mumps.
Also tonight at midnight the NHL’s holiday roster freeze begins, and it runs through midnight Dec. 27. Emergency recalls can be made during the freeze as needed.
