ECF off-day, quick update: Brassard practiced, Tokarski to start Game 3 for Habs

Just a quick update:

Derick Brassard did go through a full practice with the Rangers  today and is expected to play tomorrow. Brassard missed Game 2 with what appeared to be a  left shoulder/upper back injury after being hit by Mike Weaver and leaving early in Game 1.

Benoit Pouliot, Brassard’s linemate, did not practice … the team called it a “maintenance day” … meaning he has some sort of ache or bruise or something. J.T. Miller practiced in his spot this morning.

In Montreal, where the Canadiens skated, coach Michel Therrien indicated that rookie Dustin Tokarski, who played Game 2 after the Game 1, series-ending knee injury to No. 1 goalie Carey Price, will also start Game 3.

Winger Thomas Vanek, meanwhile, alternated on the fourth line in practice, leading to speculation that he might be injured or a healthy scratch for Game 3.

More later …

Scratching Vanek is good for the Habs. I would rather have him in the lineup. Especially on the 4th line since none of those guys have the skill to move up

  2. Boneheads, anyone has 1 or 2 tix for game 3 or 4?

Hey Manny, is cross-referencing amounts requisitioned against amounts paid, with dates and city withholdings and putting all of the information on a table for submission to the city for payment on a delay claim metal?

Because if so, today I’m *Metal as hell*

  4. Brassard is back. Thats a good sign. I am sure AV gets Moore some extra ice time.
