Rangers at Penguins.
Here we go with another Game 7 thrill ride for/with ya boys, their fifth in the last seven playoff series over three springtimes (they have won four in a row and seven of the last eight Game 7s since ‘92.).
And another elimination game for ya boys and Henrik Lundqvist (9-2, 1.35, .955), who can set an NHL record if he wins his fourth Game 7. The Rangers have never come from behind by 3-1 in games (16 opportunities) to win a series. You know that Brad Richards is 6-0 in Game 7s. Did you know that Dominic Moore (Sidney Crosby’s new nemesis) is 7-0, with three different teams, in elimination games against the Penguins?
The Penguins are 1-7 in their last eight elimination games at home, and 2-6 in Game 7s at home. Of course they have also never lost a playoff series to the Rangers.
For the rest of the Game 7 stats, scroll down a few threads. We had them all up yesterday.
Alain Vigneault wouldn’t tip his hand on his lineup, but he rarely if ever changes up after a win, even though he shortened his bench and sat down Derek Dorsett in Game 6. If Dorsett comes out, the logical choice would be for Daniel Carcillo to got back in.
Hope you guys remember to enjoy and appreciate this. Some of you won’t if they lose, and I understand that. But this run of Game 7s and stuff doesn’t come around very often, and surely there have been and will be much worse stretches than this one.
Also hoping, from a personal/professional standpoint that we might have a slew more Go Times! I honestly have no feel whatsoever for tonight’s game. Complete coin flip. Since my pre-series pick went up in flames in Game 5, I’m going to go 4-2, Rangers.
Anybody got a prediction?
