Btw the matching minors and subsequent 10 minute misconducts for carcillo and Rinaldo were stupid, absolutely ruined the intensity level of the game, and was utter pansification!!

  2. Awesome stat about TGO:

    Jaromir Jagr – 42 years, 12 days
    Gordie Howe – 40 years, 245 days
    Brett Hull – 38 years, 183 days
    Mike Gartner – 38 years, 44 days
    Phil Esposito – 37 years, 345 days
    Marcel Dionne – 36 years, 86 days
    Wayne Gretzky – 29 years, 341 days

  3. Oy….apparently even in Irish I used a bad word and am awaiting moderation.
So to repeat with an edit

Good early evening all! Great video Carp…wow, you got there early! Or do they really put the ice down so close to game time? No wonder it is for (new word) bad

I really want to see a win tonight, so I am torn between game and Oscars :)

  4. wick, also if they’d let them fight when they wanted to fight, the misconducts could have been avoided.

  5. iWicky "Frag Out!!!" on

They should have fought no doubt, but I’d rather have a physical distraction than pansification.

  6. iWicky "Frag Out!!!" on

Good for d Moops being back in, but like I said if rather have dorsett in this marshmallow line up…even at the expense of miller.

  7. I’m with you. If it’s both pains-in-the-butt, let ’em go. If Rinaldo is doing that to a real player, or if Carcillo is doing it to a real player, then hit ’em with the 10.

Saw it before Coos – still funny, funnier when Charp says it about Mr. Ed

OV splits… ah…bring back the college years on the Eastern edge of the Southern tier in Western NY

Torts just asked Mike Sullivan for a cyanide pill.

Wonder why Alex Edler is -23? Maybe Torts sucked the life out of their offense.

  11. Carcillo, hazardous duty pay. Reminds me of a (then) young guy, ex-jarhead, I went to college with who bounced at a bar to help pay his tuition. One night he took a beating from a half dozen guys, then came in next morning to the bar-owner’s office all bruised and cut-up. Owner thought he was quitting, but all he wanted to ask for was a bump to $6 and hour from $5. Now, that’s tough.

  12. Jags left the league for a couple yrs…. Just saying. Still love TGO stat. Bad things coming tonight. Our little positive stretch is about to go the other way and it’s nip n tuck to the finish line for a spot at the dance. Not enough grit or scoring. Make a trade uncle Glen…..everybody’s doing it

  13. Crowd chanting “We want Lu” and booed the fact that Lack was starting at beginning of the game. Edler -23. Daniel Sedin hurt.

Looks like things are going well for Torts.

Paul MaClean’s look has moved from Teddy Roosevelt to Willford Brimley

  15. I’m sure the players love DMoops, but wouldn’t be surprised if they’d rather see Dorsett tonight.

  17. ZzZz NYR ZzZz©" Don't Stepan the logo!!!"...says Greg L. on

Great stat about Jagr , oldest fossil scoring 700. I bet at 800 goals he will be 45 .

    WTG JAGR!!!

  18. Jagr hasn’t appeared in any Nickelback videos though, so that pretty much nullifies the 13 year difference.

Orr – how about Stepan and Hagelin for Kesler, but no to the first rounder

  20. As this league gets faster and faster, will Step develop something in his game to counterbalance?

  21. *Brady Skjei Update* :::::::

Watched a good sample of the Minnesota Gopher / Penn State game last night. Not really impressed by Brady Skjei. First thoughts, Uh-oh, looks like another non-physical, slight of frame DMAN. Second thoughts, did we pass up any blue chips to draft him? Third thoughts, it sucks sometimes being a Ranger fan.

  22. Retire Brad Park's #2 on

I like Kesler’s manageable salary, and although I’m trying not to jump the gun, I’m starting to worry that what we see is what we’re going to get from Stepan/Hagelin.

  23. iWicky "Frag Out!!!" on

Yep, we passed up on big power forward with an edge matteau to take skjel. Dumbest draft move I’ve seen them make since jessiman.

  24. Kesler supposedly doesn’t want to come to NY. Reports say he will accept a trade to Pittsburg, Detroit , Chicago or Philadelphia.

I see Tullamore Dew in your immediate future

  26. Thanks Stranger. Never had weidimanns but OV splits sure brought back some good memories.

  27. Retire Brad Park's #2 on

Papa – that’s too bad. but if true, we don’t want a guy who won’t embrace the city (see: Ed Whitson, Randy Johnson, etc.).

sure would like to see st. louis here….

  28. Wick, the Rangers amateur scouting team is consistent. Consistently disappointing.

  29. Retire park…

Given a choice of Cally at $6plus for 6years, I’d rather see St. Louis here for 2 years.

  30. Hear mixed things about Kesler … some in Van say he had no problem with AV. Some say he would never play for AV again. Probably moot, because NYR won’t give up Stepan for him. Not a chance, I’m told.

  31. Hagerstown Md. Rangers fan on

Carp after reading your short bio I could not help wondering how long have you been stuck at 26 years old? Is it a ground hog day kind of thing or have you found the fountain of youth? As for me at 50 I’m looking for the fountain of middle age.
Are there any rumblings from Ranger land concerning possible movement of players that you are able to divulge? Just wondering if our NYR are going to look better or worse come 3PM Wednesday.

  32. Retire Brad Park's #2 on

Testito looks like archaelogists just found him in the Alps and thawed him out.

  33. Hagerstown, yeah, it’s a running joke. Josh Thomson, when he was regularly contributing to the blog some years ago, had his bio there too. In it he was 26 … for several years. So now everybody’s 26. Perpetually. It’s really not that funny anymore, but i hate to let traditions die.

  34. iWicky "Frag Out!!!" on

    I agree with papa, why?

I mean Kesler would be the best centre on the team with or without Stepan.

I trade step, and Kristo or miller, and I pick for Kesler in a heartbeat.

  35. Hagerstown Md. Rangers fan on

It’s a good tradition to keep. Did not mean to belabor the point. What’s age anyway? Jagr is 42 and is better than plenty of the younger guys. He looks like he can go for another 2 or 3 years if he wants to. Messier probably could have played till he was 50 if he wanted to.
