Rangers are almost as low as they can go, I don’t think we can beat Buffalo to the bottom, they want it more.

So, we need a clean slate. FIRE SATHER. And let someone that knows how, rebuild the team.

  2. “Derek Stepan tied for the game-high among forwards with two blocked shots, and led all forwards with 22:29 of ice time.” Nice resume.

  3. I don’t believe there is a softer, more useless defensive player in the entire NHL than Brad Richards.

Good the World Series is being played in Boston. What’s it…40 degrees there?

  5. Matt "We'veBeenSatherized"Boy on

Think about it. Detroit is on a small skid. Their talent level? We haven’t seen in games. Shellack. Pure shellacking of our boys on Saturday (or they ease up in the 3rd to be nice).

  6. Ode to Uncle Glennie

Come down off your throne and leave your body at home.
    Somebody must change.
You are the reason Ive been waiting so long.
    Somebody holds the key.

But Im near the end and I just aint got the time
And Im wasted and I can’t find my way home.

Come down on your own and leave your body at home.
    Somebody must change.
You are the reason Ive been waiting all these years.
    Somebody holds the key.

  7. Anyone comes anywhere near him, Richie will get rid of the puck ASAP to whomever, wherever, anywhere.

  8. I thought Richards was good tonight. I still think they should have bought him out but, what’ve. They will next summer so they can sign Getzlaf to a contract that is too long for too much money. Imagine if the rangers had some Getzlaf, Perry or Lucic type players? How nice would that be?

  9. Bad News: Pullout suspended on borderline hit, loss of balance by Talbot

Great News: Pullout is out of the line-up!

    1 down, 19 to go.

  10. Until Hank is Healthy and playing Capital type games….

Nash has to get healthy in a hurry AND make a difference.

When Cally is missing the whole team is “off”.

Hags speed is needed … let’s hope he can bring the ENERGY this team is missing.

Until they get back….. I’m not so sure they could even win at home. With the effort they put out the last 2 games.

  11. They probably didn’t buy out Richards because the way he plays, his only possibility of getting hurt is if he is clipped by a cab on 33rd and 7th.

  12. “I don’t believe there is a softer, more useless defensive player in the entire NHL than Brad Richards.”

    …………

Hate to admit it, but he is one of about 3 or 4 guys doing what they’re paid to do…and probably the single guy on the team who has been doing their job all season.

“Bring in the new coach” they said. Well, Richards is the only guy manning up and making good on it. Don’t point the “defense” finger at him when everyone cried for offense and he is literally the only guy delivering it.

  13. Let’s be honest here…Nash will probably not be back in uniform before xmas/new years…no sign, no word, no talk…not looking good.

  14. He’s delivering garbage. His goals have for a long time come directly from the Holy Ghost. And he’ll give up two goals for every one he nets.

  15. Joe: “Oh, Talbot’s hurt, he’s really hurt, he’s really, really hurt!” then, “Talbot’s back, taking a regular shift.”

  16. Stranger Nation on

and lets not forget who’s man scored the game winning goal while they stood motionless in the slot or who throw a blind backwards pass into the skates of Brassard on the PP
But hes scoring goals so he is playing well…

  17. If you think Richards is the problem, then as a fan you are the reason why this team will never win a cup. He gets paid to help out on offense and he’s done that this year. He’s never been a good defensive player. We let Richards go now, this team might not score again until St Patricks Day.

  18. Dolan at ribbon cutting ceremony today, when asked about the Ranger struggles so far:

“when the season starts, I’m confident Coach Tortarella will have the team ready to play. I’m not worried at all.”

  19. You don’t trade away your core, and trade for a zherdev type player and expect to be a better team. Likewise you hang on to your heart a soul guys, and we’ve lost quite a bit in past years.

  20. Stranger Nation on

We have traced the call and it is coming from inside the house

We have found the enemy and it is us.

  21. Stranger Nation on

Thought Kreider looked good in last two periods when not blowing up McD.

What the heck was McD doing in the slot anyway?

  22. His goals have for a long time come directly from the Holy Ghost.

    …….

I don’t care if they come from bin laden’s bloated corpse…and yes he threw some blind passes again tonight, but Richards is by far and wide the best Ranger on the season. It not even a debate. It’s a sad day for this blog if people can’t accept that Richards is producing very well, especially for a guy that we all thought was flat out finished.

  23. Watching videos from 11-12 is so depressing.. those guys really played for one another and left it all on the ice..

  24. Glennie: Redden, 6 years, 39 mil
Leetch to Toronto for Kondratiev and Immonen
    Graves bye bye
    Kasparitus
    Drury, 7 million per
    Rozsival
    Holik, 5 years, 45 mil
    Gomez, 7 years, 49 mil
    Jessiman, 1st round
    Brian Trottier
    Just for starters

  25. I think Richards is doing well. He’s not exactly surrounded by any talent. Oh and no excuses. I didn’t hear the senators making any when they had even more injuries last yr.

  26. Since I caused all of this, I’m willing to leave for $1500 and an oil change for my ’99 Vette hardtop.

  27. They will not win a Cup on Sather’s watch. NOt happening.

    Book it.

The only positive outcome from this mess? Dolan decides to clean the house starting at Sather and working his way down the entire list.

This is what I pray for now.

  28. Did anyone watch the video of Dolan making his speech at the ribbon cutting ceremony?

Dolan is a stuttering blubbering fool, who apparently has trouble reading.

No offense intended to stutterers, blubberers, clowns or illiterates.

  29. “I didn’t hear the senators making any when they had even more injuries last yr.”

    …..

    that’s a great point, I forgot all about that…

  30. Sean Avery ?@imseanavery 8m
Someone needs to be my #Hero and find my skates pretty please.

    Brandon Prust ?@BrandonPrust8 2m
    @imseanavery size 7’s right? #anaverycomeback

  31. No offense taken. (Sather bumped into an old lady on his way out of the rink, and he said, “No offense, ma’am.”
“You got that right,” she said.

  32. Olga Folkyerself on

Coos- You’re just skimming the scum off the top of Sather’s tenure. (Ten year? I thought it was 13?) Yeah, those first 3 years were the worst, too.

  33. And I didn’t see “a distinct kicking motion and intent” on the kid’s disallowed goal, as are requisite for disallowal.

  34. I miss Avery, dubi, Prust, gabby.

Anyway they may be gearing up for a lundqvist trade. Henrik needs a new scenery I think, and rangers need to rebuild.

  35. “He’s delivering garbage. His goals have for a long time come directly from the Holy Ghost. And he’ll give up two goals for every one he nets.”

    You are an idiot.

Brad Richards is being paid to score points.

    He is scoring points.

There is no statistical evidence to suggest his presence on the ice is responsible for two goals to every one he either creates or nets.

Pull your head out of your behind.

The team needs scoring and Brad Richards is the only forward scoring.
