  1. Carp, the occasional segue into brevity could set a trend.

I mean, how much can be said when the game has not started much less concluded?

You could have more free time for the book! ;)

  2. Staal out and may not play again in the series.

Duh, why was he allowed to take the ice lacking game condition in the first place, who made the decision?

He played a little over 5 min. and clearly did not belong on the ice!

  3. It would be nice to have Staal back even at 70% as compared to a couple other options. But I’d rather he just shut it down for the season and be ready for a full year next year.

  4. DC bringing up 19 year old hotshot and throwing him into game 5. Grasping at straws?

  5. Kind of like the Rangers putting in Kreider last year but without all the “Will he or wont he play” nonsense that surrounded it?

Coos, listening to NHL radio on way home talking about Tom Wilson. You would think they just called up Clarke Gillies. Should have heard the guy (think it was Brad May). Everyone agrees there’s no one with this guy’s size that can hit like he does. Saying how much impact he would have on the game. They need his size. If that was the case, why didn’t they bring him up before the Erato injury?

  7. It’s funny when people laugh at other teams for having high hopes for their prospects when the Rangers have had plenty of such examples in recent years (Grachev, Sanguinetti are obvious ones)and Kreider.

Yes, but some say that it’s overrated . Usually smaller guys who score a lot.

  9. Big guys little guys. Rookies Wilson’s and krieders. Will henrik outplay holtby in a goalie duel. It’s high time he does. Henrik time.

  10. It’s time for henrik to absolutely steal the show. If the good guys throw a couple in because holtby is like del Shannon than so be it. Henrik time.

  11. High hopes for their prospects? It’s Game 5, Stanley Cup Playoffs. This is not high hopes so much as an odd desperation.

  12. I repeat, Chris Kreider, last years New York Rangers. If Kuznetsov was in the US he’d be playing tonight. Why not play your best prospect for one of your better injured players (Erat)? Or would you rather have Wolski start tonight.

  13. My biggest concern tonight is how Torts matches against Ovechkin. The first two games Oates, with the last change, did a great job of getting Ovechkin out against the 2nd and 3rd pair d-men. Torts wasnt able to do that for Nash at home. Let’s see how he coaches against Oates tonight.

Wilson was 1st rounder, 16th overall. Guess they’d like to see him succeed.

If Torts can’t get the right guy out for the face off, someone coming over the boards should be able to catch up with Blovie if he keeps gliding around like he has the last couple of games.
