  1. Repost on the Carped.

I make the Nash trade 10 out of 10 times in the regular season….2 out of 10 times in the playoffs. :)

  2. Za'rat "The OTHER GUYS Greed" Jones on

Players are asked to compare this year’s two-game deficit to last years two-game deficit.

Hank = We don’t think about last year, we just try to win the next game. We do not even worry about that, we concentrate and play our game and try and win that game.

Cally = oh yeah, we did it last year. We can do it again.

Do these guys ever talk to each other?

  3. Carp, you’re working way too hard. Stay another night at the Marriott, rent some Titleists, tee it up at the Langston ($30 for 18) and put it all on the expense account.

  4. played TPC Avenil one visit long ago, coos. Chipped in for birdie on the No.1 handicap hole. Forgot the other 102 shots.

  5. Stranger Nation on

    Ex3 – solidarity!!

It will happen and I will be there Sunday to cheer them on!!

  6. “Do these guys ever talk to each other?”

ever been interrogated by a press squad looking to get a sound bite out of you?

NYR is #1 in the league at blowing smoke up the ass of the media. When I watch those interviews I watch eyes and body language, because no one in the organization will ever speak their true mind as that is forbidden.

What bothers me is Gianonne seems to try to come in with the heaviest questions on these guys sometimes. I still wish I knew what Avery said to him when he was on DAL that almost came to fists.

  7. Slick Rash Nash on

Can somebody explain to me why Nash and Richards get a jersey?

Also, why does Hank cry when he loses?…for the love of god shut up and take it like a man..

  8. “I’m staring at a unopened bottle of Black Bush, asking myself, should I?”

just open it and take a sip

  9. ::) Carp, don’t ask what I shot on the Black at Bethpage. The Monster at the Concord I won’t even bring up. I got so tired of walking across the no cart fairways carrying three clubs that after the first nine, I just started hitting the ball down the cartpaths regardless of where it landed

  10. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Rangers were outplayed. It was just a matter of time. I liked Brassard’s comment….”we have to win one in D.C and it might as well be game 7″

  11. A bounce here, a bounce there, things could be different. To win 4 of 7, the winner deserves it.

  12. Another year and again, the Rangers just don’t have that extra push to either put a game out of reach, or get the win in OT. Sorry, but it’s the coach and the system, because this team is talented. Wait until Lundqvist leaves for a legit contender in 2014/15 and see how good of a coach Torts is. We better hope we can snag a future star with our lottery pick

  13. Pushed into the boards head first, Strange. Didn’t look good considering his recent history. Didn’t return.

  14. Just got back, our D was good so was Boyle whom I don’t usually have much good to say. Richards bad, Nash has a groin pull never good for a hockey player, Step invisible, Zuc good again and thanks for the puck for my kid. Asham does some good things n Hank beyond good. I said 7 and got a seat for Monday so I told a whole section see you then. Wow

  15. Stranger Nation on

I am going out on a limb and predicting the Rangers will need to score more than 1 goal to beat the Craps in their barn

  16. NYR were definitely outplayed overall.

I really hate to admit this, but Clowe seems to be a pretty big factor to this team. Control seemed to diminish once he went down.

I hate this series. Tastes like sawdust. Both teams seem disinterested.

Rangers in seven. Bank it. I gregarentee it folks. Rangers will win game seven .

    Rangers in 7

  18. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

Apparently the only way we’re gonna win is if Hank isn’t on top of his game. smh

  19. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

I’ve got a laundry list of problems that the Rangers exhibited tonight. They make it so easy for a “glass half empty” guy like myself. Always providing tons of fodder for a naysayer like myself.

  20. Rangers have them right where they want them…drink the NY Kool AID…It aint over till it’s over, and even then when it’s over, we are still better…..NY Rules!

  21. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

I’ll start with the very last thing I was thinking in this game: Where the hell were these OT guys when the second half of regulation was being played?

  22. Schoenfeld and Hmrlik, back at cabin, nude at dinner table after late evening jog through woods, enjoying half a protein bar each:
    Shonny: ‘You think you’re ready?’
Hammer: ‘Maybe two, three more weeks.’

Our backs are to the wall!!!

    Right where we wanna be!!!!

From the Dept of Dirty Laundry..

Can MSG either not hand out ‘cheering’ towels or, if they must, make them blue? We are the Blueshirts, the Broadway Blues by way of 7th Ave.

    No repeat, Mo Surrender!

  25. Stranger Nation on

The FO stats tonite were the opposite of MSG games

Just painful to watch this team chase the puck and continue to roll the puck up the side boards to start a break out.

Nash better be hurt, because he has been on the periphery all series.

  26. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Game 6 is in the bag. Game 7 as well. We need some grit to replace Clowe. Who comes in? Newbury? Haley? Kreider?

  27. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

If we would have scored more goals than the caps, we’d have won game 5.

  28. Man, Girardi, Eminger, Richie, Pysie looked like they were skating in sand a few times there. And G is first pair. Big burst of surprising speed from Brassard on the icing play. Ash or Dorsett should play with Nash and Brassard, maybe jack up a couple folks who like to jump on Nash’s back.

  29. Stranger Nation on

The BJ line – Dorset, Brassard and Nash

need more Ash – why not Boyle, Ash and Kreider v Ovi line

  30. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Nash is missing both legs and both arms. Hard to do much when you are little more than second base.

  31. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

Evrock’s List Of Things The Rangers Apparently Don’t Work On In Practice (in no particular order):

    1. The Power Play – This one’s a given

    2. Shooting Accuracy – Do they even know where the net is?

    3. One-Timers – Will they stop settling the puck ever freakin’ time they receive a pass?

4.Standing Up At The Blueline When The Opposition Attempts To Skate The Puck In – How many times does the defense have to allow the Craps to skate the puck in and then watch as they skate right past/around them before they realize “something just isn’t right here?”

    5. 3 On 2’s – They always skate into the Craps zone in a straight line while the 2 Craps defenders block the passing lanes. With no trailer to pass the puck to, they quickly lose the puck to the defenders.

    6. Energy After The Opposition Scores – The game isn’t over because the Craps scored a goal. Way to go from dominating the game to barely showing up for the rest of the way. Speaking of energy….

    7. Hockey Is A 60 Minute Sport – The Rangers were already thinking about what they were going to do on the plane on the way back. “Sleep…? Read….? Play cards…. no, wait there’s too much effort involved in that, I’ll be skipping that one.”

    8. Clearing The Zone – Hopefully they’ll have this one figured out by the all-star break next season.

    9. Not Respecting The Opposition So Much That You Allow Them To Pass The Puck Around Like They Have A Power Play – Tonight the Craps’ play in the Rangers zone made the Rangers power play jealous.

  32. And I’m dog tired of those telegraphed PP slappers from way out that inevitably bounce off someone’s padding or go five feet wide of the net. Move in with the puck. At least McDonuts can do a quick sidestep and find a lane. Why in holy hell is Richards out there?

  33. If I had an Olympic team, I sure know whom I wouldn’t have coaching it, and for more reasons than one.

  34. Rick Nash really sucks. What’s with the dipsy-doodle-Mario -Lemieux move that he keeps trying over and over? Seriously fail in the playoffs. And, to think we gave up a first rounder and 3 NHL’ers for this dude…

  35. Can the guy try a shot from the outside instead of trying to beat the D every time?

  36. I’d hate to blame it all on Nash, but the Rangers aren’t going anywhere if he doesn’t start scoring…

And, Richards has to go…now. What is the point of keeping him around next year with the inevitable amnesty buy out looming over him and the organization? It will be a distraction. Cut ties ASAP.

  37. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

Scariest part of this game was the fact that Pyatt played better than Richards who played better than Nash. We’re in serious trouble.

  38. Better get rid of Richie before he comes down with a knee problem and you have to pay him from here to eternity.

  39. Coos, the fact that the NYR have to pay him isn’t what hurts…I don’t care about Dolan’s money or Richie’s riches…but if Richards got seriously injured it would count against the Cap and we wouldn’t be able to amnesty him! That would be very bad for a very long time!

  40. I do not think BRich is going anywhere… he will be here next year and given another shot in a full season.

  41. NYR Fan, that’s exactly what I was referencing. Thanx for making it clear to anyone who might not know.

  42. That’s too bad, CCCP. Because I think Richard$ has as much to do with this team being mediocre offensively as anyone…just a horrifying season all around for BRich…Can he dig deep and become the Conn Smythe winner he once was again? Nope, I think he’s done as an elite player and NYR should not pay him like one…

  43. Czechthemout!!! on

Boyle was outstanding tonight. Really was. Best game he played in a year, maybe two.

Mdz realky sucks! I mean really sucks. Not only does he have very low hockey IQ, he is also a coward. Not a good combination.

If Nash is not injured than I have to start questioning his heart. Scumbag Crosby, broken jaw and all does not stop. Watch the goal he scored last night.

Very disapointed! Hard to fall asleep.

  44. We Will, We Will Evrock You! on

The thing that made this loss not hurt as much as the 1st two losses did was that they stopped caring after the Craps 1st goal. I just fed off of that, so I really didn’t care as much as usual that they’d handed the game on a silver platter to the Craps.
Just a few minutes after the Craps scored the tying goal I said to myself “if any team deserves to lose this game, it’s the Rangers.” Because I had already expected it it didn’t impact my mood quite as much.
But seriously, couldn’t they have just lost in regulation, it would’ve saved me a little bit more heartache. I hate the tease: “We didn’t lose in regulation! We now have more time to win!” We all know how that winds up.

  45. did not see the whole game. daughters bday.

saw the Boyle penalty, inexcysabel. hope he got alot of satisfaction out of his slash

in a league of bush league officiating did the brain surgeon think they were going to call the ribero crosscheck?? I could have scored the first goal, brassard passed it perfectly to him.

i wonder if napoleon will suit up Kreider in game 6. probably will and he will play him 5 minutes…

nash doing zilch… big time player is 2 and 7 in the playoffs with 1 goal and 1 assist. he continues a long tradition of overhyped softies. dangles do not work in the playoffs clown. cally with no shots tonight. ouch. erskine is so ready to be beat unbelievalbe they cannot exploit erskine, or olesky or hillen.. they have 3 bad d men…

rangers held ovechkin to 9 shots….

this team just acannot score but napoleon has no clue. richards on the point how can they go wrong!!!

hagelin misses another breakaway while the team is up a goal. 2 times in the series, he went to the brian boyle school of hands…
