Rangers 4, Devils 1: Post-game interviews (audio): Tortorella, Lundqvist, Callahan, Richards, Pyatt

385

I saw Taylor Pyatt wearing the Broadway Hat. Good for him. Got some audio from him, too.

The Rangers, you can tell in these interviews, are feeling pretty good about their chances now, and about the way they’re playing going into the final three games of the season and then into the playoffs. They could conceivably clinch by Tuesday, with Winnipeg playing the next two nights in a row and the Rangers in Florida Tuesday night.

Ryane Clowe will be the star this playoff season. You can bet the farm on it.

  2. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Rangers have put bodies in front of the net effectively since the trades. Clowe parks his assen there as often as he can. Brassard also goes hard to net.

  5. Am I right? If the Jets lose their next game and we win on Tuesday, the Jets are mathematically eliminated right?

  6. Is it just me, or does the new format make it harder to go back and forth to new post or old post? Seriously….

  7. FWIW, since the morons have tainted the poll, I figured the true fans of this blog can post their 3 stars and put a name to their vote. I had:

    1st Hank
    2nd The Captain
    3rd Richy Rich

  8. And what is what with this Pierre McGuire? Guy’s got a voice like a bent flute and his stupid between the benches thing and his questions are dumb, expecting coaches to divulge to his Baldness and the opposition during play, the true strategies they hope to employ. He’s got bench misconducts (literally) flying around his head and he offers no insight.

  9. Blogmama, when Kreider and Asham are leading the poll it becomes apparent there are some bored trolls voting.

  10. Olli Jokkenin out 6-8 weeks. What will Winnipeg do if they have to win a shootout in Game 48 to qualify?

pie-hat had an absolutely beautiful goal with a nice set up from Richards – knew that Richards-Pie-hat is like Mess and Graves

  30. there were times today when it seemed that Hank didn’t stay as deep in the net as he usually plays. thought he was more conscious of playing the angles. I liked it.

  31. Less likely now, but if the Rangers do miss the playoffs and can Torts….and the Blue Jackets miss the playoffs and can Todd Richards.

JD decides he needs a more defensive minded coach…You can see where I’m going with this.

This is what Gaborik wakes up to in a cold sweat in the middle of the night.

  32. We get Boyle back, we might not lose another game. 19 straight wins to close out the year.

  33. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Richards made a brilliant play to keep the puck in and showed nice patience setting up Pyatt. 19 is rounding into form.

  34. Papa, Hank is coming out of the net and the next step is to whack a couple of his screening defensemen on the ankles a la Billy Smith.

  35. Canyon of Heroes parade led by Boyle dressed in Statue of Liberty costume. Yeah Baby.

  36. Richards DOES seem to be employing more patience instead of just flinging the puck willy nilly. He doesn’t have his shot back, but his (recent) passing has been exemplary.

  37. Admiral Akbar on

No disrespect to Gabby, i enjoyed watching him here; he was one of Sather’s best free agent signings, but this team is much better after the trade.

More balanced, and certainly tougher to play against. And thats without Dorsett and Staal playing.

Another great move by Sather and his team.

  38. And what’s with that greasy curl always flopping around Boyler’s forehead? If he scored 25, I wouldn’t even bring it up. :)

  39. I saw Boyler in a tux on the town and he still had that enormous greasy curl going. I would put a stop to that if I were the coach.

  40. Two teams I’d rather not play out of the gate. Washington and Pittsburg. Rather get a round under our belt first.

  41. Admiral Akbar on

Getting Richie to plat his game again is akin to replacing a 3rd line center (Richards of games 1 to 42) with a legit 1st line center (Richards of last 3 games) at the end of the regular season.

What a huge boost to this roster Richards could be if he continues his recent play.

Aside of Hank Lindqvist, AS GOES RICHARDS, SO GO THE RANGERS in the rest of season and playoffs.

  42. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Don’t know what you guys think but I prefer this team over last year’s team.

  43. Stranger Nation on

Love Steps’ attitude, always a smile on his face

lines have balance and other teams dont know how to match up
Torts doesnt have traditional checking line, all can score

  44. Boyle to Torts: “Stop poking me in the groin with that finger unless you intend to use it.”

  45. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Richards on the 3rd line is working nicely. Cally/steps/hags and clow/Bro/Nash are very good top 2

  46. Steps and Henrik are two guys who really look like they enjoy playing this game. Even Ash smiles. Got almost ten minutes today. Cally set the tone from the git go.

  47. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Clowe Brassard Moore Dorsett Nash compared to

Dubi AA Gabby Erixon and draft choices

    I prefer the former

  48. Stranger Nation on

Admiral sir – glad Richards is playing better, but not ready to pin a gold star on his chest as playing back at No. 1 center yet
having him play on line 3 now with Bros-hard in the mix may have shaken the complacency out of his game. maybe didnt feel challenged with boil and halpern as other center options

  49. Three energetic first rounders and a Prustian character in the wings. What’s not to like?

  50. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Nash Clowe Bro Moore Asham Pyatt vs

dont understand the Kreider hate today. so our top prospect doesnt know how to play like a 4th liner? Needs to be in Hartford playing top line minutes and getting coaching.
he did have a nice 2 for 1 hit against boards

  52. Seldom mentioned with the big names, but Asham has served his purpose well. No one explained why he got that misconduct…??

  53. Strange,,, the more I see him, the more I say, The Kid Is Alright. Too much skill and size, not to be.

  54. He’ll be fine, but if you were the coach, would you bet your pension on him by giving him large minutes yet?

  55. Admiral Akbar on

    Stranger

No pinning a gold star on any chest. What i am saying that Richards playing like the real Brad Richards from now on would be a huge boost for this team… As opposed to the way he has been almost invisible for most of the season.

I dont think Richards needs to feel “competition” from Brassard in order to play effectively. He is a professional athlete and he is a winner (like Drury – except Brad has a Cup ring, unlike Drury). Whatever his problems were that were affecting his game, hopefully he is over them, because he is a huge key to how well the Rangers would do in the playoffs, once they get in.

  56. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

SNation – agree on Kreider – cally failed to get a puck in deep at around the 12 minute mark of the third – bench him

  57. Right now, I think the Kid is thinking too much, worrying about not making mistakes, playing with a lot of stress. Once he starts to de-stress and play more instinctively, he is gonna be a good 2nd-3rd line player.

  58. Stranger Nation on

Nash v Gabby – monster nash
Clowe v Prust – Clowe foot
Moore v Erixson – more moore
    piehat v Feds – wash
    Bros v Artie – Bros-hard
dubi @$4m v no dubi – no dubi ($$ to resign RFAs)
    Dorset v mitch – dorset
Powe v Rupp – wash but like kung powe pk

  59. Jets get only a #1 pick for Revis, but I think they have two #1’s now. Tampa and NY open the season.

  60. Ex3 …holy Carcillo!!! I thought the same thing on that Cally play in the 3rd….if it were Kreidsie Boneheads would have be hammering.

  61. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

There’s something going on with the Derbils and it ain’t just missing Parise and Salvador.

Larson, Henrique, Clarkson, Tallinder, Zidlisky, Volchenkov….I mean these guys are MIA. They are nothing.

Their ‘d’ was slow and made mistake after mistake. PP was bad. PK was worse (just our PP is not so good so it made it look better).

Something going on with that team.

Their loss is our gain :)

  62. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Kreider clearly was told to physically engage and he has – he is looking to hit every chance he can – doesnt glide around so much anymore.

  63. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

He looked like he fit in more, but was still lost. He is learning.

I just wish they would go to his strengths. He’s got a great shot. Let him use it. Put him on the PP. He can handle that. Don’t get it.

  64. Admiral Akbar on

I prefer this year’s team. I always felt they were playing over their heads last year.

I feel Nash is a greater impact player than Gaborik ever was.

Clowe/Brassard effectively replace Dubi/AA offensively and are just as gritty if not more so.

    Asham/pyatt Vs Feds/Mitchell – is a draw.

Prust will be replaced by Dorsett – we’ll see how that works out

Moore is an upgrade over Bickel/eminger big-time.

Stepan and DelZaster have improved since last year, so they are upgrades as well.

Only Boyle has declined from last season (pre-playoff injury).

I like this year’s team a bit better – i think the balanced scoring is a huge difference from last year. Prust was great, but we needed more goals last season.

  65. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Richards had a very good, quietly good game. He did a lot of little things today that mattered. Even won some important face offs.

    If he comes around……

  66. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Papa – I even looked at the clock – just to mentally note it – if that were Kreider – it’d be all you hear

  67. Torts to Kreidsie: “Kid I need you to get engaged out there”

Kreidsie: “But Coach, I don’t have a steady girlfriend”

    Torts: “Sulllllllllllyyyyy. Get in here”

  68. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

How many turnovers can a defenseman have in one shift? Eminger had 3 on one in the 2nd. Next step is to just put on a white jersey already.

  69. Ex3.. Vibin on that. I was waiting for the comments to start to flow from the usual suspects.

  70. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Dorsett is a better player and fighter than Prust – Prust loved to fight and didnt back down – but most if his fights were draws

  71. Eminger will bang, but, despite those who sing his praises, he can be woeful. He is not an answer to anything other than some minutes filler. Thank God we got Moore in that trade seeing what’s happened to our defensive corps.

  72. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

I tell you this, they must PIPE in crowd noise for the TV feed. There is NO way it was loud in the Garden today. I wonder what it would have sounded like if we were losing. I’m thinking not much different.

A few “sea-son’s o-ver’ chants. Of course, a number of ‘Marty’ chants. And some, but not a ton of ‘LGR’ chants.

    Disappointingly quiet.

  73. I am definitely in the minority on this, but I like the way Eminger plays. I think he and Moore make for a nice 3rd Pair, complement each other very well.

  74. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Eminger was physically engaged. A number of our guys finished checks.

Glad the Derbils are out. We have had a full year and our 4th line is still not as good as theirs.

  75. Admiral Akbar on

    Matty,

    The Garden has been sterilized.

I dont think we’ll hear it loud in there like it once was ever again.

  76. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Yea, Papa. I dunno. To me, he is a journeyman d-man. That’s all. Moore could become a 5th d. But he is unschooled. At least he’s a realistic size.

  77. On NBC, they pump the game so much that you can hardly understand the announcers. Did the renovations stifle the noise or is the Garden filled this year with Goldman Sachs corporate freebies?

  78. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

AA, it seems it was fairly loud for the Knicks game? i think?

I was so disappointed at the pure lack of ability of the fans to start a chant. And, of course, every time they do the loud piped in stuff drowns it out like clockwork.

There are about 2 sections of 400 seats that try and no one else bites.

  79. _Blogmama
Is it just me, or does the new format make it harder to go back and forth to new post or old post? Seriously_

No, it’s not just you, Laurel… new format, to put it mildly, is not very user friendly. Still waiting for some sort of split between comments so it doesn’t look like the page consists of one humongous big post. And not having new post link at the bottom of the page is retarded :)

Thank you for listening…or not listening.

  80. Admiral Akbar on

Love the new “blue seats” — they ARE colored blue, but they are not the Blue Seats of old.

  81. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Whomever made that pick…..should lose their job. Unless it was a weak draft.

  82. They compliment each other: “Nice play.” No, yours was nicer.” “Well, it was nice, but yours was better.” Not really, but thanks.” “No, I mean it.”

  83. Eminger is definitely a place holder for the arrival of McIlrath or return of Sauer (wouldn’t that be nice?) next year.

  84. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

    Good luck with that, E3!!

But it definitely was a good move to have included him in the deal. We needed it.

See, I am saying something positive about Slather.

  85. Admiral Akbar on

I wish we were getting Sauer back, but i dont think that’ll happen.

I hope he is doing ok.

  86. Coos, Asham and Carter, who was running around all game and ran Lundqvist, were jabbing each other. Once the officials separated them he got into it with Bernier. To keep peace the hit him for 10. That’s how I saw it.

  87. Is Hamrlik still running around nude in the woods with Shonny? “What’s for breakfast, Shones?” “Water and biscuits.”

  88. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Yes, AA. I went to a game against Miami. It was pretty darn loud.

Today, nothing like that. Can’t figure out why.

That was a Sunday afternoon game, too.

  89. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

I didn’t see what DeBoer was so pissed off about. What was that?

I saw Kovie get tripped and no call. And a couple of other things. Was he pissed about the officiating?

  90. Pete Da Bore probably most pissed that he is about to lose his job for the 2nd time in 3 years, no?

  91. My imagination, or does Torts have Ash on the ice quite a bit lately in the last few minutes?

  92. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Oh, so that’s it? Well, he has some aging goalies. His defensemen made a whole bucket load of coverage mistakes. Yes, they are more offensive minded, but this is not the Derbils of old. Some of that and the PP’s failure this year has to be on the coach.

Might want to send out the resume…just in case.

  93. Czechthemout!!! on

Guys, the Kreider hate comes from one or two specifice posters. It started last season despite the fact he was one of the best forwards in the playoffs. He played another strong game relative to his ice time and his line mates.

The irony is that while they dump on Kreider, they use every excuse or twisted statistic to try to defend a fourth line forward being over used and over played by his coach. The new stat is his faceoff percentage.

The fact is that this team misses Boyle as much as they miss Marcel Hossa, another scrub that I bet those same guys found every excuse in the book to defend his ineptness as a player. Hossa was Renney’s Boyle. Or is Boyle Tort’s Hossa?

  94. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Carp – there isn’t a clear separation between posts. Seems like an easy fix… Some kind of dotted line pops up once you hit submit.

  95. Ticket prices are too expensive for noise-making fans to attend, it seems. Really hope they go down once the renovations are completed, although I doubt they will. MSG reduces the noise levels further with the poor music taste and stupid gimmicks.

  96. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

Oh, thanks, Coos. That makes more sense. I was wondering if I missed more than I usually do. His team made some stupid plays. They got penalties. Some, too, were missed.

If this is a longer term vendetta=type thing, that I get. I could see him feeling the ref missed a few and meant to do so.

  97. Lats has an abiding, relentless grammatical complaint. Glad I didn’t take his Ulysses class. :) kidding, Lats, kidding.

  98. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

I agree with that Latona. I have to tell you, in my section, because of the secondary market, tourists are coming to the game. Next to me today was a lovely, but quiet couple from Sweden. There have been other out of towers there this year. Not thinking they are about to start a ‘Potvin Sucks’ chant!!

  99. Matty, 10:38 , if the dunce who picked Jessiman with the 12th pick a year later didn’t lose his job (Sather) than I think the GM who picked Eminger at 12 should get a pass as well ( in fact he did, old time Ranger George McPhee, Washington GM, still in place)

  100. The last Knicks game I attended is the last Knicks game I’ll attend. Felt like I was in Dante’s Ninth Level of the Inferno with a Fitty Cent soundtrack.

  101. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

E3, I could see us playing Boston. They’re a pretty well put together team. Hey, if we get Dorsett and Staal, even Boyle, we are not an easy out, either.

  102. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

I don’t expect Staal back any time soon. I’d prefer he really heal before coming back.

  103. Latons 10:52.. Honestly, I used to make a lot more noise when I was younger (at least noise emanating from my mouth, if you catch my drift….no pun intended) . Now when I go to games, I admit, I am more reserved than I should be. Garden needs more youth in the stands, not old farts (no pun intended) like me.

  104. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

    Coos. :-))

An inordinate amount of rap at those games. And all these ‘rap’ celeb’s introduced to the crowd, none of them had I ever heard of.

  105. The problem seems to be, Matty, as you pointed out, is that there aren’t enough fans who join in. You can hear the beleaguered cries of the diehard leaders in the 400’s, but nobody seems to chant along. Truth be told, I never start chants when I go to games, but I’ll ALWAYS join them in voice and applause.

coos, just trying to do my part to tidy this blog up a bit.

  106. Matty"Monster Nash"Boy on

There were a number today, like the first “na na na na hey hey good bye” started by the blues…..and after a few verses, collecting some steam, the organist hits it upside the head with some jingle and killed it all.

  109. Papa, not everyone can start the serenades. As long as you join in once they’ve begun, you’re doing your part/fart.

  115. I had a guy sitting next to me at a Ranger/ Devils game and after an exquisite slapper and tip past Brodeur, said to him: ‘Wow you see that?’ He said he was from Iceland, someone handed him a free ticket and he thought he was going to the opera. I told him you’ll know it’s over when the fat guy sings.

Look forward to Carpy’s review. He’s got quite a streak going, in my book!

Gotta recognize the improvement in Richards. It could well be a turning point for him. Had 2 assists and a number of other good passes and keep in’s and face off wins. Not getting ecstatic here, but he is looking less bad. Pyatt-Richards? Hmmmmm…..

    Good night all!!

  117. As a torts fan, a whole lot of you guys put trading dead line on him. Killing the trades, well we seem to have balance, a PP, grit, bigger bodies, more youth and cap space. Sorry for being a realist, we are now what torts wants a pain in the ass team to play against again. Loving it.

Dc – werd up yo, I need me some ho, gotta show, go wid the flow, don’t you know, clowe ain’t slow, my hose will grow, jolton Joe, to and fro

    Boyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  134. Stranger Nation on

    expectations are high now

need jets and isles losses to make things real interesting.

  135. Broeduer seen by TMZ at local area restaurant dining with and on with Maxwell the Pig.

  136. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

I haven’t mentioned it for about 10 minutes, but i was all over trade gabby.

  137. Ever notice when NBA stars make a nice play (usually a dunk) they put on a face like they are constipated and trying to get a dump through.

  138. Nash to Carmelo: “Happy to say I had three points last night.”

Melo: “Hell kind of game is that?”

  139. Stranger Nation on

gabby & 2 minor league scrubs for more Moore, Bros-hard, duking Dorset, and noGabby

  140. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Papa – too much bling bling – also, your team could be down by 30 but if you make a good play, you strut like a rooster down the court / complete knuckleheads.

  141. Somebody by the name of anal_protusions posted before. Never saw him or her round here before.

  142. Stranger Nation on

MSG recently ran special on early 70s Knicks – great profiles of the players, those were the days my friend I thought would never end…

  143. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Papa – you cannot not replace 40 goals by not replacing him with someone who also doesn’t score but 40 goals.

  144. Most disgusting vial name of blogger so far. I was eating dinner when I read it. I almost threw up in my mouth.

  145. My DeBusschere story:

Sitting in small, local suburban bar with friend, friend whispers with good intentions to bartender we knew, “Man, DeBusschere’s driving. I wouldn’t give him any more to drink.” Bartender leans over, says “You tell him he can’t have any more to drink.”

  146. Thanks stranger, you guys rock!!! And the rangers are beginning to roll…all is good in the bonehead hood.!!

  147. Coos, I did a Google search on anal_protrusions. Who ever it was who posted under that name, I believe they probably have some serious health issues.

  148. Hahaha! Who would come up with something like that? Gees! Wait – isn’t CCCP a nurse??????

  149. I LIKE this team, and I think I’ll like it even better when Dorsett suits up. Hope he has the discipline. Credit to Torts that Haley and Ash do.

  150. Had a relative who pitched for the Tigers. Sparky kept telling him to throw at batters. Seems Anderson was one tough motor scooter.

  151. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Papa – I agree. I wouldn’t bet against the rangers. They are gathering steam and I be liking it.

  152. Loo Cheese was a healthy scratch in Boston on Saturday. Wow, how the mighty have fallen. maybe he’ll be on the block in the summer.

  153. Any mean motor scooters around anymore? I’m transmogrifying back to the Peppermint Lounge.

  154. Marty criticizing his team after allowing that first goal 34 seconds in. he is such an arse.

  155. It will be interesting to see what the line up looks like when Dorsett, Staal and Boyle are all healthy.

I’m guessing that with the trades that we will not see Lindberg in NYC or CT this spring.

  156. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Kooze – his fights are on hockeyfights dot com – but Ive seen him play maybe 15 games or so on the tube.

  157. I think Linberg and his mother were sitting next to Matty today at the Garden. (see Matty @ 10:56)

  158. Sounds like a Kocur size. Wouldn’t that be nice, with a few goals and assists sprinkled in.

  159. Marty missed the day they gave the class at NHPLA orientation “you don’t Carcillo where you eat”

  160. The D IS jumping in. One thing about our D is that it is versatile. Only problem is that a few others have to be schooled on when to protect, which probably won’t come until next camp.

  161. Dorothy Parker once described someone disparagingly as “a rhinestone in the rough.”

  162. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Asham has been good when healthy. I liked the signing. Will he be here next year?

  163. Pyatt can be tough on the puck, but has no speed whatsoever. I’d like to see Dorsett and Ash or Dorsett and Haley. We’ve been missing that fire too often this year. It’s a too often overlooked ingredient.

  164. Guys like Clowe can give a team a ton, yet are overlooked when someone else has a mediocre, uninvolved game but maybe scores a goal out of nowhere and is given a star.

  165. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Watch clowe and how smart he is with the puck. Plus he screens the goalie and parks on the doorstep better than any ranger since graves.

  166. Gabby is a hard guy not to like, but he just doesn’t fit here and is a liability if he is not lighting the lamps regularly. And he wasn’t

  167. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Clowe’s career playoff stats better than gabby – .46 Pts per game compared to .45

  168. I’ve seen big Clowe with some nifty moves behind the net similar to Hags and Kreider. And McD behind his own net.

  169. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Gabby floats. Plays europansy hockey. Looking to head out of his own end at the drop of a hat…. Not my kind of player… And he sucked this year. That trade had to be made. And it has made all the difference … Pre trade and they miss the playoffs – I’m convinced.

  170. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

One month ago the rangers were 29th in scoring. Now 17th. You tell me if those were smart trades.

  171. Agreed. And I think playoff game plans, at least in the first round, will be to collapse on Nash, opening the ice for the nameless who don’t stand still and take advantage.

  172. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Clowe provides space for Nash. Collapsing on him won’t be so easy. The rangers opponent will have a tough time matching up with them especially if Richards continues to get better. Of course the penguins wont care about matching, as they would love a track meet. We need the 7th spot.

  173. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

I would bet on the rangers beating the pens even money. But I think the series would open at +240 for the rangers.

  174. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

I might be in Vegas in early June for a chess tournament. If I play, I will wager a bet..hopefully, the rangers are playing….

  175. Papa – like the time references. It makes everything so much easier, and it helps make sense of responses which too often, are too cryptic to decipher.

  176. Sometimes Carp will answer or refer to a question asked half an hour or hour ago. I axed him if he would put a time reference to posts like that and he said (succinctly) “No!” I can only guess that he has 250 responsibilities and 251 leads on and on….until it becomes 1,000. I can dig it, been there. :))

  177. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

In the EC rangers tied with caps at +2000 as the 4th/5th favorite. This was as of 4/5. Bit skewed tho as the devils favored over the leaves. Pitt 300, boston/Hans 800 then rangers caps..it will change during the week..

  178. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

I think if henrik can find a 6th gear… This team can win it all this year.

  179. Coos, 1:25, following your lead there. Makes sense to me. Especially here where the post numbers are usually high and regulars pop in and out often during the day.

  180. Eddie 3 x’s. you are truly the most loyal fan here. Most likely, very loyal to your friends and family too.

  181. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Rangers Habs – we win. Their goalie has let in 19 goals last 5 games.

Rangers Bruins – once I feared this matchup – less so now…

Pittsburgh is the only threat. But the last games with them , post trades of course, were good games.MAF is a sieve.

  182. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

Papa – thank you. Kind words. loyalty trumps all. Thank you for noticing. Loyal to a fault. My friends enemy is my enemy kind of thing…

  183. Agree on MAF, especially last years version.

Caps are on a little bit of a roll too.

  184. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

There are of course manny manny loyal ranger fans on this blog…. Several posting as we speak in fact….

  185. Eddie Eddie Eddie on

My optimism is boundless. Rose colored glasses with my feet nary on the ground…

  186. One Win by us & one loss by Jets we’re in. Two wins makes no difference. Rather play Bruins than Pens. What a story – If Columbus wins they’re next & last two games Detroit & Dallas have to run the board (4 games) to win. Would be nice for JD

  187. Boston plays Ottawa on the last day of the season.

I bet Boston lets them win if it means the difference between facing the Rangers or the Senators in round 1.
