  1. Interesting how that embarrassing Penguins franchise was able to publicly state that Malkin had a concussion and short term memory loss. Then last week said “health update after the game” and actually delivered saying what was bothering Malkin and how long he will be out.

But again it’s “none of our business.” Right? Anyone else have any questions? Im sure you do, Sam.

Someone asked about nnsense. He was BANJing…

That Geoffrion news is so sad. Best of luck to him and his family that he can recover.

  5. Didn’t the chat used to have the time listed next to the comments, or am I hallucinating? Also, I think I am one of the few who can hear and enjoys the ticker tape noises with Carp’s replies. I’m sure everyone with a boss has this exquisite feature muted.

  6. Doodie Machetto on

Carp, to answer your question, the players that I think have played at or above expectations:

    1) Stepan
    2) Hagelin
    3) Nash
    4) Stralman
    5) Eminger
    6) Miller
    7) Biron
    8) Haley

    Sad list.

  7. Uh oh. Reported that Gaby brought his mother into the locker room in Buff last night. You would think she would at least put some clothes on!

  8. Sounds like Ryan Miller might possibly be moved this season. Interesting to think about at least.

  9. PS – That’s a tongue in cheek thing since PA played his best for 18 minutes and the Avalanche got shutout by the Oilers.

  10. Hubert Humphrey, patronizingly showing off his halting knowledge of Spanish, spoke to a Mexican legislature and while thanking various dignitaries in the audience, also thanked “Papa Grande” for giving all “this wonderful, cloudless day.” What he didn’t understand is that most Spaniards translate ‘Papa Grande’ as ‘The Great Potato.’

  11. @stevezipay@ One fan here at Winnipeg Iceplex peering through window has a handmade Gaborik sign. Think it’s a positive one

  12. Wonder how many Catholics (or others) realize that St. Peter, the first Pope, was Jewish?

  13. Grand Rebbe, on his deathbed, converted, then somehow recovered. Elders and flock asked him how this could have happened, and why he did this. Thinking quickly, he replied, “Better one of them should die than one of us.”

  14. We’re saved! He’ll look good along side Stepan and Haley as part of our top line

  15. any possibility that the real reason Asham has been out is because he’s been deliberating on the election of the new Pope? He’s back now, of all days? Coincidence? I think not

Sam lowers ‘funeral director’ voice above the barely above an audible whisper. Torts stricken by acute auditory hyper sensitivity syndrome goes postal on Sam and asks him never to talk that loud again!

  17. Sam should just do like Torts said..ask THE PLAYERS.. “Ryan, Coach Tortorella says you guys suck. What do you think?”

  18. suppoisvely torts spoke for 6 minutes post practice today according to hockey night in canada radio

    where the sound?

  19. Sam question to Torts…..”What went wrong tonight, John?”

“What went wrong ? Oh, that’s great Sam. That’s a great question…..Anyone else like to know what went wrong? Well, okay. I’ll tell you what went wrong….. Your freaking schnozzola, Sam. That’s what went wrong.. Anyone else have a question?……. I didn’t think so.”

  22. all is good offensively for the Rangers asham is back, another plumber added to this lineup of skill and speed…powe, halpern, asham, boyle, haley, and pyatt.. how can they go wrong that is at least 9 goals between the crew.

  23. I went to Winnipeg a yr ago, flatter than flat, wind blew all trees down. If your dog runs away u can watch him for 2 weeks. Cold place

  24. Rangers Report @rangersreport

Corey Perry hit: same as Neil vs. Boyle in playoffs. Perry got 4 games; Neil got off scott free.

Ye, umm, no. Boyle was skating with his head down. His own fault. Zucker made the pass and was admiring it but had absolutely no reason to expect to be hit at that point as it was way late.

  25. Oh ye also how about Tortorella and Lundqvist pulling a Jumbo Softshelled Shrimp Joe Thornton yesterday and giving Buffalo no credit and saying Rangers are a better team and all that jazz. Might be true, but everyone, including myself, had a problem with Thornton saying it last year, it’s only fair…

  26. Good evening all! I’m anxiously awaiting the first newspaper headline that says “Lighten up Francis.”

    Missed the Charp….:(

  27. have to love the NHL. all the tough talk about trying to eliminate headshots from the sport to protect the players’ long term safety and they respond to them with a slap on the wrist. amazing how this league is seemingly incapable to resisting the union except when it comes to drafting a new CBA.

  28. whoever said that the Neil hit on Boyle was identical to the Perry hit pretty obviously didn’t watch either hit

  29. neil is a thug. .the guy has taken out numerous guys during his career…

yes he has some skill and can skate but he is just a a high end thug…kelly out for quite a while and nothing for neil, sure he ran into him by accident. just these accidents happen all the time with neil, konopko, zolnairycek, cooke, torres, and others.. they are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, bad luck…

interesting guys like girardi and others who play physical never have the same problems…must just be a conicedence….

back to the good news all well in rangerland we have the skill of asham back….man tough decision who do you sit; haley, boyle, bickell, halpern, powe, so many tough decisions to make…can the offense recoup if halpern or powe sit out????this is high class problem….

  30. not disputing that Neil can be a thug but his hit on Boyle has absolutely nothing in common with Perry’s hit on Zucker

All work and no play makes Gab a dull boy!

  35. I said it and I watched both, Lloyd. Was a repeat offender taking aim at an opponent’s head and successfully inflicting damage on both. Those things to me are kind of similar.

  43. So many good scenes, shine box, when the wack Pesci, when he takes the gun from Dr. Melfi and jams it in her face, he beats the preppy neighbor with the gun and Pesci real life mother making them something to eat and so many more. Maybe I’ll watch it tomorrow night

  45. Bronx Tale is a good movie.

Goodfellas is possibly the BEST movie.

Casino is nowhere close to Goodfellas. Not even in the same league. All that hysterical Sharon Stone overacting garbage. She may be hotter, but I’ll take Lorraine Bracco as Ray Liotta’s wife any day of the week.

On defense, stop the other team from scoring.

On the pk, stop the other team from scoring.

On the PP, stop the other team from scoring.

On offense, stop the other team from scoring.

  61. He played for the Flyers too…Not sure how many people wanted him. Wasn’t he a first round pick? Don’t remember which team.

  62. Yup, wick, April 3rd. First time in years I’m not away skiing during the trade deadline.

  63. Since when is Rob Blake a disciplinarian? Wow…Shanny has henchmen doing his dirty work…

  64. Don’t understand Carp’s tweet: “You can listen to the Chat at noon (or you can replay it later, but not live.” Why won’t you live? Is that some kind of a death threat?

  65. Bob McKenzie is saying it’s anyone’s guess when Staal comes back. Could be 2 weeks….could be 2 months…nobody knows. All we know that there is an eye injury and it needs time to heal…these things aren’t predictable…

  66. Coos take a Valium, he’s not threatening us. . I think he means you can read it, but you can’t contribute to it….kind of similar to watching a DVD.

  67. It’s a death threat, pure and simple. He specifically says you will not live if you replay it later! Hey, it is what it is. We all have to polish up our keyboards, move on, and get ready for Winnipeg.

  68. No Coos, he’s a good guy, we are not in danger……

It’s not live, like I’m breathing so I’m living- live. It’s live, like not happening right now, happened before ………..I think.
