Michael Del Zotto (likely hip) and Ryan McDonagh (who knows what his injury was/is?) will all play tonight. Matt Gilroy (flu) and Arron Asham (back spasms) will not play.
That means Steve Eminger plays on defense (after a strong game Tuesday) and Stu Bickel plays on the wing.
Henrik Lundqvist starts in goal.
Chris Kreider was assigned to Connecticut (AHL) today.
Ya boys have lost four in a row, three of those in regulation, and five of six, as they play the second of an important homestand. They are 2-0 against the Bolts, who are missing Ryan Malone and Sami Salo.

don’t agree, Czech. As a scorer he sucks, and most games this year he has sucked. but we saw him as a legit third-line player last year, a guy who could check the other team’s top guys and kill penalties. Again, I definitely don’t want to sound like I’m defending him, because I don’t think he deserves to be defended this year. But they are a better team if he figures it out and is the player he was last year, just as they are a better team if Richards comes out of it. And Gaborik.
And I think Kreider will be back in the near future.

Boyle had a bad season last year until the last ten- fifteen games. He is not a third line center who gets second line minutes. Not a good thing. He had a career year a couple years ago that he will never duplicate again. That year was third line quality,what we’ve seen for the majority of his time here has not been like that. Too bad.

The folks yelling SHOOT pretty much know nothing about hockey or at least don’t understand the areas of the ice in which the man, or two man, advantage actually benefits you.

JT Miller is terrific. I now understand why he’s staying up here. He’s so good away from the puck. It’s the little stuff. In the 3rd, we have the puck in the Lightning’s Zone and JT Miller skates as if his life depends on it to get off the ice and change for Stepan. Works so hard!
