I will be nostalgic about Beukaboom all night. But my point was this- Bickel is a similar size and age and since he has some hockey sense and WANTS to learn to be a better Dman, it takes a pair to act like he’s garbage and shouldn’t play. Not saying he’s the next #23- but sometimes a guy can be valuable to a team even if it isn’t right out of the box…Case in point: Mike Knuble will probably score on us tonight..lol Good trade, Glen!

Carp, it’s rare that MSG gets as loud as it used to anymore. Maybe in spurts…but the pricey seats, the luxury boxes and I’m convinced the 7:00 pm starts have subdued what used to be a rabid crowd.

Quick story – I was at the OT win against the Bruins in the barstool seats at the top of Section 223. A girl with a Bruins hat was antagonizing the crowd. Well, before OT she went to the bathroom and came back on the wrong side of the section.
So there she is searching all over for her seat, can’t see it…and then Gabby scores the winner.
Yup…tough to be her at that moment. Surrounded by the enemy.
Don’t antagonize the home crowd. It can bite ya.
And I LOVED those barstool seats. Concession stand six feet behind you. Not having to get up to let people through. They’re great.

i’ve dislocated my shoulder before, im no expert but i’m quite sure that’s what happened. could be as bad as a torn labrum or rotator cuff (had both of those fixed) or it could just be popped back in. could range from missing a game to the whole season

Da boys got a streak going. One week later, things don’t look as bad. Some of the role players are starting to wake up a bit. Boyle, Halpern, Girardi, Stralman, even Staal, all had better games then they had had. Hank was pretty good, not mid-year, but early year sharp. Not bad.
