They were chanting “Fire Bettman” among other things as the guys filled the arena with more than 10,000 fans, all proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy victims.
Good stuff, boys.

Why does the majority of the blame fall on Bettman? He has a part to do with it, but he just acts on behalf of the owners. Freakin’ idiot owners.
It makes one wonder how much damage they are doing to the game, or to their own bank accounts for that matter. There are a lot of turned off fans out there. I think this is a huge gamble for Bettman and crew.
Was at the game. Truly a terrific time. Some memorable moments:
1. While waiting to get inside (massive lines), a “Let’s Go Flyers” chant broke out. When that died down, a smaller “Let’s Go Rangers” chant started. When that dies down, you hear one guy shout, “Let’s Go Devils”, and then a chorus of boos. It was awesome.
2. “Fire Bettman”, “Bettman sucks”, “We Want Hockey”, “MAAAARTY”, “You Can’t Beat Us”, and “Crosby Sucks” were among the memorable chants.
3. Rangers, Flyers, and Devils fans all getting along in the crowd. Never seen a happier group. People were cheering and clapping and laughing no matter what team scored.
4. Crowd erupted in cheers after the game. They did the handshake and got together for a group photo at the end.
I miss our sport so much, guys.

He is a Basketball guy. And when David Stern hangs ‘em up, which is on the horizon, hopefully Buttman will go back to the NBA and ruin that instead of destroying the greatest sport on earth.
