  1. 3rd…

    Woke up with sore throat this morning — here comes a summer cold bug! :{

  2. Camp is 20 minutes from my house, my son plays hockey there a lot during the summer. Not a goalie though…

  3. The hockey bears are hibernating until September…they’ll miss a great huckleberry crop.

  4. 10th! Well, I Doan know how official any of these rankings really are…

    Good morning, boneheads!

  5. My rationale:
Would cost insane (usefulness to cost ratio-negative) amount of money.
Not addressing any team needs (we have plenty of quality grit and leadership already).
Taking place of someone potential development (in top 6).
Potentially could create a clash of egos (too many “captains” already).

  6. Counter: If the options are overspend for Doan and his 20 goals or not spend the money, why not just spend? Last good, free option. Any other potential top 6 will cost money and players/prospects/picks.

  7. I know, I’m coming again with the almost crimelike thoughts, but what about Sykora ? With my unbreakable hatred for debbies, I, kind of, was surprised and liked the way he was playing in a regular season. His statistic is not bad at all – played all 82 games (reliably good health) with 21-23-44 (on par with “bore stiff” Doan) and could be had for a year at immeasurably cheaper price as a substitute, rental, etc. Your thoughts?… please, be civilize.

  8. E3 (pimp's angel) stay thirsty my freinds on

Doan Maloney will not be happy if Shane signs with us

  9. “Doan Girardi is a good d-man” Pitifully bad. :)

Not a bad idea, 4everanger. I liked Sykora when he was with us, he probably would be cheap, and he’s good at shootouts.

Feds is having a minor problem with Falla in the Olympics…

  10. I only hope Doan Sather wouldn’t turn to Doan Corleone and will not make to Shame Doan Offer he can’t refuse…

  11. E3 (pimp's angel) stay thirsty my freinds on

Doan know for sure, but shane Doan will Doan a Stanley cup t shirt if he signs with NYRs

  12. I think sykora may be a little to soft for torts. Rather have Arnott.

    Dunkin Doan nuts

  13. You didnt know that, Carp? There’s this new competition for the athlete with the rosiest red cheeks! I think Feds is gettin’ the gold!

  14. What ever became of the Rangers Report of yesteryear? The bright clever and dignified postings that once signified this blog? Ah me. I suppose that there’s always tomorrow…as I believe Annie once said.
    Or was it Scarlett?

  15. I actually know a girl (Melissa Gonzalez) in the grass hockey tournament, and did a story on her and spoke to the US coach last week.

  16. E3 (pimp's angel) stay thirsty my freinds on

If spider lockhart and spud Webb interchanged names – spider Webb would result…

  17. If mrs reads the blog today and notices my participation, she’d think I got postpartum issues instead of her….

  18. Doan you wish your boyfriend was hot like me? Doan you wish your boyfriend was a freak like me??……Doan you??

Sorry, it’s all I could come up with.

  19. Phelps was smokin too much wacky tabky… Then got smoked himself. WOW, wasn’t even close.

  20. Johnny LaRue on

I’m supposed to have a boil lanced manana.

I’ll make sandwiches. Gotta remember to pick up some bread.

  21. I completely ignored the Olympics last night, turned it on today and the first person I see is Ryan Seacrest. So now I will go back to ignorning the Olympics for the next two weeks. Bye.

  22. Carp, please, doan’t leave us alone, tet-a-tet with this zombiebox (TV) and Olympic horror show.

  23. Sounds like NBC are absolutely butchering the coverage of the Olympics from what I’ve read. Surprising given the talented people they fill their hockey coverage with.

Is Milbury analysing the synchronised swimming?

  24. If Lance Armstrong married Brian Boyle he’d be Lance A Boyle. …..I think…

  25. When Armstrong was late for the time trials and they were running out of bicycle tights, he called Sheryl Crow and said ” Darlin’, Save the last pants for me.’

  26. Ha! Just googled it. I’m confused though. How can a zucchini and an idiot be the same thing?

  27. I was going to ask Boo-Ka-Boom about his opinion on the offseason, but then I remembered that as far as hockey go, he’s a total googoots (cucuzza).

  28. Ria(the silent bonehead) on

I thought everyone knew googootz = baseball squash theres loads of that growing in my neck of the woods the Chinese luv it & it grows like weeds!

  29. Ria(the silent bonehead) on

Its a pain in the assan to cut up Tiki we actually have it growing in the garden.

  30. Just to bring up a topic…

The Rangers have addressed their struggle to score goals by acquiring Nash. Yet, we need a balanced offense and can’t just rely on Nash. Guys like Hagelin, Stepan, and Kreider have to take the next step next and show that they can bring it consistently over an 82 game season. Richards has to prove that last year was an adjustment. I expect a more consistent season out of him, too.

I don’t think guys like Bourque, Thomas, or McIlrath have a good chance of playing in NY this year unless there are injuries. I think the Rangers are going to add at least 1 more vet forward, probably not Doan…

I am *praying* that Mike Sauer gets healthy enough to start skating soon.

There is a feeling in the air that they are in “win-now” mode….but this roster should be together for at least the next 3-4 years…no? Am I missing something? Rangers fans and writers should start believing that they can win now *and* over the next few years…and even after that, too…

  31. Nice post NYR…..I believe!!!

    and that’s a wicky…..early work tomorrow…blech.

  32. There’s a feeling in the air? Was this “feeling in the air” accompanied by a foul odor? If so, check your underwear! :)

  33. If that’s a case, please, bring back some additional rental help in scoring department for Rangers – they will neeed it coming season to polish SC.

  34. NHL Network is showing NYR vs Bruins in Boston game from last season. Not sure when this game was played (NHLN does not mention it) exactly but the Rangers are leading 3-0. Anyway, on one of the plays Dubinsky got hit with a puck in the face and had to leave the game. The guys who call the game (Bruins broadcaster) were praising Dubinsky as heart and soul, win at all cost guy. And I couldn’t agree more with them. I am going to miss Brandon Dubinsky.
