I need help coming up with the name for my blog. Serious (and not serious) suggestions welcome.

Just as a reminder, it will be a blog discussing legal issues surrounding hockey.

  3. I think you could get a play on NHL. like……National Hockey Legal or something like that…..obviously that name sucks but I will keep working on it.

  4. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

There are potential trademark infringement issues there that I don’t want to deal with.

  5. Thanks guys – and thanks for posting it, Carp!

    How about
    “Hockey Briefs”
    “Puck Appeals”
“The Law Offices of Hanson, Hanson & Dunlop” (‘Hanson & Hanson – Attorney’s at Law’ is a real firm…)

  6. Doodie, just very quick few:
“ICY LAW” or “ICY JUSTICE” or “ICY JUSTICE REVIEW”
    “LAW OUT OF ORDER”
“LAW IN HNL JUNGLES” ICY JUSTICE REVIEW
    ‘FAN’S LAW AND DISORDER”
ON & AROUND AN ICE COURT
    FANS JUSTICE
    Judges talks and Referees silence.
    …WHERE APPEALS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
    LAW BETWEEN THE LINES

    Morning ILB, manny, and all!

    Respect the chair!!!!

How about Pucking A, it’s hockey law!

    Carp

There are reports that the Nash talks are down to us and Carolina.
Also that the Jackets are trying to convince him to go to the Canes , but he insists on the Rangers.

Do you have any insight on that.

  9. Manny

nobody was answering so i wanted to play by myself… but then you ruined the game for me! i’m on my way…

  10. Big game is about to start for Ukraine! Let’s root for Ukraine! Beat the frog eating – snail sucking bastages!

  11. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

I guess you’ll just have to keep playing with yourself.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, especially 4everranger.

  12. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

The rain favors Ukraine. Rain hurts the higher skilled team.

  13. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

Yeah, pausing it was a good idea. the rain is crazy.

  14. I made the original and unique suggestion of Bob Loblaw Law Blog yesterday, Manny. Stop copying and go play with yourself.

  15. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

They should have borrowed some of China’s Olympic Anti-Cloud rockets

  16. And why did they decide to stop the game when Ukraine was on the attack?!

I tought the match will take place in any weather? Bush-league!

  17. That’s true, LW. I knew you posted that. I just wanted to post it again since I also enjoy Arrested Development.

  18. Sorry, NYR. I just thought of something you might find funny!

Schenn, Kadri and a 1st for Nash!

  19. Hey Matty! Check it out, maybe you will agree:

still don’t quite understand why Tom Poti has only four votes to the right—————->>>>>>

one of the best defensemen ever in a Ranger uniform.

    NYR_FAN June 15th, 2012 at 12:17 pm

    Stop copying, Manny.

  21. Don’t hurt me, NYR. You know threatening me is @CCCP’s@ job. You would just be *copying* him if you took on that persona!

  22. LW3H June 15th, 2012 at 12:09 pm

I made the original and unique suggestion of Bob Loblaw Law Blog yesterday, Manny. Stop copying and go play with yourself.

  23. I considered copying every entry from today but that would create too much chaos. Too much. Doodie is right, Yo. I should chill out. Yo.

  24. Even if it hasn’t officially started yet, it’s already been a long summer. Yo….

  25. don’t know why but the nash stuff is starting to worry.
    maybe it’s cuz i didn’t sleep well.
would hope that Sather pulls a rabbit out of the hat
in regards to the power forward/sniper situation
and get someone else that’s off the radar
and may not cost as much

    btw,
did anyone else see the write up about Suter
talk is that he doesn’t want to go to an Eastern Conference team

  26. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

What about the name “Justice or Just Ice”

  27. Doodie

Here’s a few suggestions for your blog.
Not saying there any good, but you didn’t specify they had to be.

    (1) CHECKING the Laws- a Hockey Blog
    (2) The Ice review not from Toronto
    (3) Between the Lines – Hockey laws
    (4) The Hockey Bench – a Blog of Hockey’s legal issues
    (5) The Puck and Gavel

  28. hi Carp:

Feeling a bit nauseous, but no complaints … just glad that I was able to do the treatment.

Working’ from home, watching the Euro …

  29. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

The game should have ended by the time France scored! The rain extended the time so France could score. *RIGGED*

  30. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

27, thanks for the suggestions. Puck and Gavel is a good one. Why does that ring to me like I’ve heard it before?

  31. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

27, the more I say it, the more I like it. I think I am using that.

  32. Doodie
I just Googled it and nothing came up. It does have a familiar sounding ring though.
Personally, I think it would be a good name for a Sports Bar or Pub in a city within a few blocks of the court house.

  33. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

CCCP: That’s awesome on so many levels. But I think this may be the end of Doodie Machetto.

  34. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

DJK, the problem with a name like that is for e-mail addresses, twitter, facebook, etc. I won’t be able to use the hyphen or any other symbol, and the phrase “and Justice for All” is a very popular one.

Plus, while Metallica wouldn’t have a viable case against me, they sure do love to sue people.

  35. Doodie,
“27, the more I say it, the more I like it. I think I am using that.”

Glad I accomplished something positive at work today.
On that note – I’m calling it a day!
    Yo, I’m outta here

  36. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

Because I will become whatever my blog is. And I think it’s Puck and Gavel.

  37. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

If I was going to remain Doodie Machetto for this, I would do it.

Unfortunately, some friends of mine who used to share this moniker had sullied it half a decade ago, and since I am going to be putting myself out there in a very public way, I need to distance myself from it.

  38. Doodie – you could make another Arrested Development by using “Put your problems on ICE” Ice the Bounty Hunter and Party Planner

  39. >>if lundquist was in goal he stops that shot

I’m sure his huge pads would come in handy.

  40. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

I think Puck and Gavel is the winner. I have already claimed puckandgavel@yahoo, @gmail, and @puckandgavel.

  41. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

Manny, you are a hilarious copier of words.

    Good afternoon all!

    Awesome cartoon Gary!!!

Doodie, wow!!! LMAO at the blog name ideas…..make sure you let us know what you decide, but can’t you stay Doodie here?

  44. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

    Mama,

As I said a little before, some friends of mine who used to share this moniker had sullied it half a decade ago, and since I am going to be putting myself out there in a very public way, I need to distance myself from it.

  45. Blogmama Go Tony! on

Aw bummer. So who will you be here now?

Miami, hang in there buddy…wishing you all the best. Treatment is for carcillo, but keep your eye on the prize…..getting well and beating this.

  46. Be real.

Doodie does not want to use the
moniker with a site which he will
try to build the reputation of because
    anyone using the moniker Doodie
    cannot be taken seriously.
He will not use the moniker here any
longer because he will not want to
    confuse the readers and bloggers
    of this blog.

  47. Alright, ‘heads! Have fun with g(j)ibberish. Goota go get ready for graduation party. This is my 17th year of graduating fully trained doctors who will, hopefully, go out there and do some awesome stuff. Very proud of them!

  48. Doodie Machetto, Get well Tony and Miami Pimp on

    Fusion,

actually, I wish I could use this handle as I’ve built up some small measure of notoriety with it. Starting clean is going to be more difficult.

  49. Johnny LaRue on

Doodie… do you know how much doodie is? It’s nothing, it’s like sales tax.

  50. JimboWoodside on

I do not agree with that assessment, Carp – even if the blog has sunk to the coverage of europansyball!

  51. JimboWoodside on

Nice stained glass drawing up top – with it was a Ranger holding the Cup and stepping on a Devil’s neck, though!

  52. I like to shop at the Doodie free shop. I like to shop at the Doodie free shop.

Jimbo, that was Rod’s assessment. Or was it some other troll?

  53. Yo, it is QFT, yo. I thought it was so one year ago, yo. Why can you not remember it, yo?

  54. JimboWoodside on

Yes, it was Rod’s, Carp – I was here that evening – ridiculous opinion, and supposedly by someone very high in the NYR organization….”high”, maybe – but not in the organization, I’d bet!

  55. Blogmama Go Tony! on

Have a great night ilb, I know you love this…..

    Confusion say…wtb?

Me, I always like a Doodie free shop, or Doodie free anywhere, unless it’s Doodie…..make sense?

  56. Blogmama Go Tony! on

ESPN referenced hockey, after season? Someone’s gonna get fired…..

  57. JimboWoodside on

He is!? Is he playing somewhere!? ;-)

How are you doing? Still working too hard?

  58. hi, first new to this nice blog…i just say the hello for now. I be reading and soon be righting more aqui. ok? move to ny from argentina and like rangers many times now. just introduciendo me selves. ok, ciao.

  59. This still hurts….even more now….I just read it on TSN about the 2003 NHL Draft:

“Of the 30 players taken, all of them would play at least one NHL game within eight years – with Marc-Andre Fleury, Eric Staal, Nathan Horton and Nikolay Zherdev all getting regular playing time with their new teams the following season.

Through the 2011-12 campaign, 22 players from Round 1 have played at least 300 career NHL games and nearly a third of them have already won the Stanley Cup – including newly-crowned champions Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter and Mike Richards.”

  60. I can’t remember where I parked my car, yo, that’s why I can’t remember it, yo.

I’m not even sure what you were QFT’ing, yo.

  61. I really don’t understand the love affair with Rick Nash by some Rangers fans I find on the internet. I mean, this a guy, who has won nothing at the NHL level. He’s been a crap team for years and had a great coach for a while in Kenny Hitchcock. He’s failed to win or at least, lead his team to compete at an acceptable level. It’s no wonder he wants out.

He’s a true power forward and he fills a need on this team. But, Howser is going to want something big. Philly is supposed ready to give up JVR.

Rangers don’t want give up guys like Stepan, Kreider, McDonagh, or Del Zotto, do they? It really makes no sense to me if they do.

  62. leetchhalloffame on

Philly giving up JVR is like giving up nothing. He’s another injury prone waste.

  63. You are a fool chair sniffer.

“He’s failed to win or at least, lead his team to compete at an acceptable level.”

A team is comprised of 20 active players. One player cannot lead a team to compete at an acceptable level when surrounded by below average talent.

    Stick to sniffing chairs.

  64. Rick Nash (CBJ): #59 in 2011-2012 point totals, $7.8M cap hit.
David Desharnais (MTL): #58 in 2011-2012 points. $850k cap hit.

Both played on crappy teams this year. Below average talent? *Overrated*??

  65. Since it’s all quiet in here now I would like to take a moment to talk about what a bunch of losers we all are…
