Those were the two favorite titles suggested by you knuckleheads, who refused to allow me to use the usual header.
I fully expect this series will be 1-1 after two games. Teams should be rested after that NBC-dictated extra travel day even though the series hasn’t traveled.

I like getting both Iginla and Nash on the team but for the right price. Or instead, I would call Dallas and see what it would take to pry Steve Ott from their. Tough sob who can really play! He would neutralize Chris Neil, David Clarkson, a bunch of the Flyers and Penguins goons like Asham. I believe he is a former first round pick too so he can certainly play this game. Just think how tough this team would be to play against with Ott on the third line and Prust on the fourth line where he belongs. Oh yeah, and Rupp in Hartford where he belongs.
Blueshirts off-ice officials best in the league. Fixed the penalty box door in the Devils series and didn’t even require a trip to the Home Depot. If that was me, at least 2 trips to Home Depot, cursing like a drunken sailor all the way.

guys watch what Kings are doing to the Devils forcheck. They are moving the puck very quickly and are using the entire ice surface to do it. We tried to constantly force the puck out along the boards. The Devils scouted what we did very well and were effective in stopping it. We could not or would not adjust our game and that’s why we ultimately lost.

All the groups are pretty tough this year, but I would say that Denmark is most screwed. They’re a team that probably has realistic chances of advancing in any other group, and they draw, Germany, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

Rick Nash will be traded this month. And the price for him will be lower than it was around the trade deadline. Dreager and Mckenzie along with numerous other hockey people have talked about the fact that Nash is going to be moved and soon. In fact, the ground work for his getting traded has already started to be laid out according to Mckenzie. It is now a buyers market for his services because he has the NTC and will only go either to us or San Jose. The Sharks apparently need to move Marleau to make a Nash deal happen and his contract is going to be hard to move. At least that’s what I’ve read so we will see.
I still believe that a package of AA,Dubi,MdZ and perhaps Thomas or a number two gets it done. But we will soon find out.

That vaunted Devils fourth line, which scored their only goal tonight … was also the line that Doughty went right through for the Kings first goal, and the line that Carter abused twice on the winning goal. Just sayin’.
Three months ago, Jeff Carter was playing the hell hole that is Columbus. From that nightmare to winning game two in the finals is amazing. Rick Nash is watching this and thinking that if only he was traded to the Rangers, this might be him right now.

If the Rangers can get Nash for AA, Dubi, MDZ and Thomas + a 2nd, why not? They should sign Brodziak and either Boyes or Gaustad. Additionally either Sarich and/or Campoli on D and re-sign Stralman. Also, St. Croix may end up being a better offensive player than Thomas.

Trade the Devils fourth line! Mitchell and Rupp are clearly the better option. Perhaps the Devils fourth line needs to go and talk to Mike Rupp and tap his vast knowledge on how to play this game both on the offensive and defensive side of the ice.

Feel very happy for Kings, I like this team for speed, precise passing and confidents. They play “total hockey” – 5 in persistent attack and 5 in fierce defense. And the talents they have. Quick is great. This team deserves SC.
The more I watch Parise, the less I want him on my team for that amount of money. Efforts are here but I already heard that about most our domestic players (doesn’t backed by statistics and results).

With the exception of Kreider, all four lines stunk. There was the exception in each game where one or two other forwards did a few things but for the most part they did nothing and that’s why they lost.

Yup. Callahan was good in Games 3 and 4, I think it was. Prust had a good game in there. Trying to remember some others … seems so long ago now. They stole a couple of games where they were outplayed, they lost a couple of games that could have gone either way—the kinds of games they usually won this year. They had one or two games where they just weren’t very good at all.

But the real question is would Sutter’s shnoze fit under his visor if he were still playing. As I recall, Sutter’s wore a helmet without a visor when he played for the Hawks. He was a real good player for them too. Retired early I think cause of injury.

Somebody else in the organization vehemently told me, twice, that Callahan was not injured in the ECF. He was banged up earlier, but fine in the ECF. I pointed out that he had one hand on the stick the entire series, that he was seen shaking his right hand a few times, that he kept his right hand in his pocket during press conferences, and that he didn’t seem able to shoot the puck … and was told, he was fine.
What would they have to gain by insisting that?

CARP—This blog is the best place to be…..even after we are out of it. The best thing about the Kings performance so far…........they have limited that hideous horn and limited the screaming from that asshat PA guy in Newark. Out here in SoCal….......and as usual for LA area sports fans….EVERYONE is on the Kings bandwagon now. No more 24/7 Lakers crap on the radio, nothing about the baseball teams or USC, it is all Kings all the time.

Fear not. We got one in Kreider. We need to add another and we will. I the pessimist believe that we will either get Nash or someone else at some point in the season.
It’s good for the game if the Kings can take the cup. It does nothing for te game if te Devils win it.
If the Debs win it, it just affirms the clutch-grab-hold-trap style of play that has made this series so exciting, up to this point. Just what the league needs!
And a SC winning team that is on league welfare, as well – near-bankruptcy – great commercial for the league!
Not only players, but I hope Torts too will learn something out of this season and PO. Obviously, he is a King of all motivational speakers, but to say to all of us, that we can shove his motto “Safe is Death!”… is probably too much.
Better understand how to get team in a peak condition in a peak time and unleash players’ natural instincts, that’s all I’m asking. Is it too much to ask?
