We now have confirmation, and an official announcement will come later: According to reports out of his native Slovakia, Marian Gaborik played with a torn rotator cuff that will require surgery.
The reports have said that he hopes to return by November.

I have been reading around. Most rumors have Schultz going to Toronto. Those seem to be the strongest. However, Toronto is involved in every rumor that ever gets passed around. Why Toronto? They are horrible and aren’t going anywhere.

The rotator cuff is the thing in the brain that controls common sense, rational thought and prevents you making horrendous trades, right?
Iib, I posted that Torts wanted to “try” to trade him. Not inconsistent with NTC, implication was they’d have to get his approval. Who knows maybe he and Torts have a bad relationship and Gabby would have obliged.

I had my rotator torn playing college hockey and yes the operation and rehab is at least 4-5 months.

I feel like we sort of knew some guys (Gaborik, Callahan) were playing with unannounced injuries but I didn’t expect one of this magnitude.
