  1. re-post:

Miami, are you referring to the clowns on this blog who jump ship and trash everybody and embarrass themselves whenever something goes wrong? Then come back after the next win like it never happened?

  2. If Avery was in the lineup, we’d have won this already.

Should have kept him just in case we played the Devils.

    No, I’m not kidding.

  3. CARP,

Exactly. The clowns who don’t realize that they should have jumped ship in the pre-season whe it was obvious that this “team” would embarrass themselves in the semis come May.

  4. more important things in life than hockey
My condolences to Michael DelZotto and his family.

(if he had any kind of bond with his grandmothers as i did then i’m sure him mind was barely in the building tonight.)

Go home and cry tonight, Michael and make Grandma/Nana proud.

  5. Miami,

Sure looks like the Mickey Mouse Organization has moved to the other side of the river, doesn’t it?

  6. JPG

    very true.

Ion that same sense, I’d appreciate any good thoughts tonight as I’m scheduled for my next chemo tomorrow morning and I’d like for it to happen (last week my system was too weak and I wasn’t able to go through treatment)

    Thanks in advance.

  7. LATONA,

Mickey-Mouse loves to roam around Manhattan, looking to bite the next Rangers player. He’s looking for The Kreider as we speak.

  8. carp my criticism of boyle, and others is legit. boyle has been bad real bad. stepan needs to do more. the guy needs t oscore a goal. AA needs t oshow up all the time not just sometime..

rupp stinks, having a parade because he gets a shot on goal is not something to celebrate.

also john mitchell is not good any way you slice it.

the rangers will still win mainly because of ; henrik, girardi, staal, and mcdonagh and some help from about 6 forwards.

also dubi sounds like he will play next game and that will help he can compete and is physicla nad fast.. prust cannot hit the ocean but he also competes etc and when you are so limited at the forward position and little bit helps…

rangers will win this series and it will be low scoring…………

  9. Randy Butternubs on

Tortorella’s handling of Anisimov has reached embarrassing proportions. I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if Tortorella yells at him on the bench after different Rangers let up a goal on the ice. Win or lose, I hope Artie tells Tortorella to go f**k himself in the off-season and asks his agent to get him out of here.

  10. Tough spot for the coaches with MDZ. Do you dress the kid. Let him go home? Tough call.

in retrospect, the kid wanted in, but he was not up to it. It did hurt the team, but they were humane about it. Part of why this team respects the coach so much.

  11. ” I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if Tortorella yells at him on the bench after different Rangers let up a goal on the ice.”

  12. Was at the viewing party tonight. Great atmosphere that unfortunately quickly mellowed out early on.

Super bummed tonight. Hoping for a great bounce back game…

  13. Czechthemout!!! on

    They embarrassed themselves tonight.

Totally unprepared for something they new was coming at them. Four straight games without a any adjustment from the coaching staff. Just unacceptable. How can you come out for yet another game without any passion?

MdZ was awfull! And yes, his grandmother passed away three days ago so he was was not at his best emotionally. Doesn’t mean that was the reason for his pathetic play tonight and most of the series. If he wasn’t emotionally ready to play tonight, he should have been scratched and everyone would understand why.

Rupp took a shot on goal. Big deal! Have a parade like Stuart said. For the first time since the playoffs started, I am starting to have doubts whether they can win this series. This is based solely on their play, and the inability for the coaching staff to make any adjustments to the Devils.

I don’t like Hanks comment. No reason to say it publicly to a reporter. But I get his frustration. He has kept them in this series and every now and then, needs some help from the rest of the team.
Way too many passengers this series so far.

Every game this series it’s the same old story. Hank,Kreider,McD, and Girard, and Staal carrying the team. Not nearly acceptable and certainly not enough.

  14. The Devils assured themselves they will need tee times tonight. And what happened with Rupp wasn’t disgraceful it was fantastic. The Rangers were the much better team in the last two periods and between all ten choppiness and the Rupp incident, they are now really PO’ed. And we all remember that this team is at their absolute best when they are truly PO’ed. Now they’re engaged, now they’re in it, and now the Devils are finished.

  15. good luck Miami!!!!!!

here’s to hoping all goes well and
    you’ll be back here beeeching
    and praising
    and whatever soon

  16. Randy, that’s really true. And he is a young kid, too. Personally, I’d use him as trade bait. Perhaps he would be good in another organization. Maybe he gets something useful as part of a trade. He is an enigma. He is big, yet plays small. He is a scorer, but rarely gets into position. He has a good shot, but rarely uses it.

Maybe a change of scenery would be good for AA.

  17. Yeah, AA needs to go hone his “skills” in the Panamanian League, where he belongs

  18. You’re giving him that much credit? Panama? I would ship him off to French Guiana.

  19. And, Czech, I gotta say, Richards has been at the top of the list as awful. He had so many non-connecting passes today, it was horrifying. I had to ask myself, is this guy a pro? Did he shoot his load last series? The greats keep plowing forward. Messier? No matter how tired, he forged ahead. Richards looked out of touch and out of gas.

That means games 5,6,7, he will be amazing!!!

  20. Randy Butternubs on

“Deservedly so, too. Europansies deserve to bear the brunt of Fonzie’s wrath.”

Latona, I’m sure you’re someone who used racial slurs when the company is “right,” too. Piece of trash.

  21. LATONA,
He’d get distracted by the rockets in the French Guiana … How about the Bolivian mountain division?

  22. I love Richards drop pass to Salvador, out of the zone. Nice. Was that a set play?

ok. ok. not getting down on the guy, but he needs to show up every game. Thats what leaders do.

  23. Randy,

Clearly you were not privy to the great teachings of the wellspring of many wonders that is VinceA. He taught as that all Europeans were Europansies. I was indoctrinated!

  24. Artem Anisimov on

How is “Europansy” a racial slur?

My mom’s been calling me that since I was 5.

  25. Hey, what’s all this talk about Drury and Wade. I am the best FA signing of Uncle Glen, the gardner, no? $9m a year? Remember, in a big city, it’s easy to be a GM, right 13 years of GM Sather?

  26. Blogmama Go Tony!!!! on

hang tough Miami… can do it! Like with Tony, worth the good fight…..and I have no apologies for that bag man.

  27. Just wait till I come in next year and come in on my version of the clutchmobile: 15 goals, 20 assists in 79 games. $8M a year.

  28. ThisYearsModel on

I thought the Rangers finally started playing like they were POed. Unfortunately, they were shorthanded the entire 3rd period because of it. The Rupp thing was comical. I especially enjoyed Bernier running at him and bouncing off. That they didn’t come close to matching the Devils start is disappointing and not understandable, but it is what it is. The series now depends on the 5th game. We find a way to squeak out a win, and we can go to the finals. We have the better goalie by a factor of 10. We need to get some shots on him. It is not the end of the world. Just the way the Rangers do things……the most difficult way possible.

  29. Kasper and I would have formed the best defensive pairing of all time … in the Rio De Janeiro beach league.

  30. And how many of the 15 were empty netters, like tonight? Daneyko, with Parise’s “two” goals and assist said he was BRILLIANT. Brilliant, worth $8m? Let’s see what our genius GM does.

  31. Czechthemout!!! on

Yeah. I agree. I am disappointed with Richards play this series. But he’s done so much through so many of the games that I can’t really bitch and moan about him. Gabby, is another story.

Here is something I don’t get with Torts. We are down by two in the second. There is a 4-4. Who does he give the first shift to? Boyle and Gabby. They waste about 1 minute doing nothing. Than on the next shift he goes with Stepan and Richards. Why? Would he not want to capitalize with the e tra space and maybe play Gabby with Richards or Kreider and Stepan? I just don’t get him sometimes.

Big game on Wed. I really think it is Torts who needs to step up with an offensive game plan that is something other than just chipping the puck along the boards and having the Devils intercept and create scoring chances.

  32. Good night, fellas.

    Thanks for the good wishes.

    ’till our next loss (Wednesday)

  33. Parise didn’t do a damn thing. In Daneyko’s defense, he was probably drunk.

  34. The only thing I don’t like, This Year, is that a bounce of the puck here or there and you can lose. The Devils have a really good offense. We have a better d and a better goalie. We did not block nearly as many shots as we usually do and we did not play disciplined.

Hank was human tonight. He can’t be.

I hope the bounces and ref’s calls go our way on Wednesday. THese Devils will not fall down. We will have to bust them up.

  35. I look forward to Dubie coming back .He understands how to play the debbies and will be fresh. Prusty is a big part of this team, too. That will help us a good deal.

    Night Pimp!! Be well!!!!!!

  36. I would have scored a hat trick tonite on Fatso; but Noooo I’m doing half naaayked photo shoots…..why did I ever say sloppy seconds?

  37. So some of you know-nothings pretty much think that they won the East, won 51 regular-season games, reached the Eastern finals and are 2-2 heading home for Game 5, two wins from the finals, six from the Cup, with only a goalie and six or seven players and a terrible coach.

    OK. Now I got it.

And Butternubs, you are probably the dumbest to comment on here in weeks. Hope you enjoyed watching your first hockey game.

  38. Blogmama Go Tony!!!! on

Tony’s home safe, on way to rehab now. Best of luck, Miami. Im sure everything will work out for you, buddy.

Bad allergies in NY as always, took 3 benadryls, fell asleep near end of 2nd period, woke up an hour ago. Havent missed any part of a playoff game of any of my teams in a looooooooooooooooooong time. I feel very ashamed.

  39. sorry, tired. and the bathroom called!

Gotta come out and answer on Wednesday. Would really appreciate if the crowd efforted like it did in Game 1.

  40. Watching a video of Mama’s niece. She’s so damn adorable! Cutest girl ever. She says on video to her grandma (Mama’s Mama) “You tooted!” And grandma says “What? I didnt toot.” hahahahaha Love it.

  41. JimboWoodside on

OK, Carp – I don’t envy you that task – I don’t mind telling you that they are making me very nervous about the final outcome of this series – I thought that success on Wednesday night was going to be necessary for us to take this series, and now I’m concerned that we might fall short.

  42. JimboWoodside on

Mama, a lot of Rangers must have taken a handful of Benadryls tonight, too – this was not a good effort, especially early in the game.

  43. JimboWoodside on

OK, Tiki – well, you didn’t miss a whole lot, except for the scoring of 1 goal, and Rupp taking a whack/shove at Maaarty – it was a very depressing game, at least to me!
