Michael Del Zotto became the third Rangers defenseman to score a game-winning goal this postseason, joining Dan Girardi (Game 7 vs. Ottawa) and Marc Staal (Game 5 vs. Washington). He now has eight points ( two goals, six assists) to lead all defensemen in the league.
Brad Richards bolstered his big-game rep, scoring just 92 seconds in. He and Marian Gaborik are now 4-0 in Game 7s, Ruslan Fedotenko 6-0.

The Rangers won because of The Carp. They weren’t going anywhere all those years when Carp was off the beat. Now he’s back at the Garden and suddenly they’re in the Conference Finals. Coincidence? I think not!
