Rangers-Capitals Game 7.
Ya boys look to improve to 5-0 all-time in Game 7s at home and reach the Conference Finals for the first time since Adam Graves’ wrap-around against Martin Brodeur put them there in 1997.
For those jittery, just remember that every big game they’ve faced this year, the Rangers have performed well, and in just about every game following a bad game, they’ve roared back with a superior effort.
That’s why I think they’re winning Game 7 tonight, and why this isn’t the final “It’s Go Time!” of the season.
As the Devils sit in armchairs and watch on televisions and root for quadruple overtime and much brutality.
No Brandon Dubinsky or Mats Zuccarello in warmups. So no, neither is playing.

Carp walking in on Gabby interview
For all but three minutes of the second period Rangers played a near perfect defensive game- squeezed the life out of the Caps… think back to the final three minutes. Sol impressed. Could MSG please buy the rights to the remaining games so we could sit through a replay and REALLY see the game- coverage was so poor and incomplete (still wonder what made Torts go ballistic in the second period- still would like to get a better look at the slash that even Pierre saw on Kreider) and even though I’m a big Emrick defender the “score” call on the HL save in period two came off more as a freudian slip than a mistake. Good thing they cut to studio afterward- hate to see grown men cry (Emrick and McGuire).
P.S. Of course it was a goal- though I wish we’d have some more looks- maybe from above.

It should be noted that I believe almost not at all in clutch, in terms of being a trait or being a predictive measure, but … I’ll be damned if Richards isn’t always around when important things happen or need to happen. At some point, his contract is going to suck, but he’s 8 games from me (us) always saying “sure, but …” when discussing him as an albatross.
I hope the devils take the rangers Lightly. They played a florida team and went 7 games and than they played a flyer team who has shaky goaltending and shaky defense. The rangers are the total opposite of the flyers, good/great goaltending and good defense. I just hope the rangers find there scoring touch. it stinks that the rangers will only get 1 day rest, that’s a concern, the only concern I have, no rest which could effect the rangers deeper in the playoffs.

Great game. The Devils have been tough for the Rangers this season. Although I think the Rangers match up against the Devils better than the Sens or the Caps, this is going to be another long series. I won’t be surprised if another game seven is down the road.
