Hagelin and Stralman each tallied their first career postseason point with one assist apiece in Game 1. With the assist, Hagelin became the first Rangers rookie to record a point while making his playoff debut since Lauri Korpikoski on May 4, 2008, in Game 5 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Semifinals at Pittsburgh (goal). Anisimov (two assists) also registered his first career playoff assist in the contest, while Boyle notched his first career playoff point with the game-winning goal. In Game 2, Del Zotto tallied his first career playoff point with an assist, and Stralman added his first career playoff goal. Chris Kreider, the Rangers’ first round pick in 2009, made his NHL debut in Game 3, becoming the first Rangers player to do so since Korpikoski in 2008. He is also the first NHL player to win the NCAA National Championship and make his NHL debut in that year’s playoffs since Tony Hrkac with St. Louis in 1987. In Game 6, Kreider notched his first career NHL point with the game-winning goal, while Derek Stepan tallied his first career playoff points with one goal and two assists.
