Playoff Live Chat today at noon

Josh Thomson is filling in at practice at MSG today and will have some info and reaction for us later from the Garden.

In the meantime we’re going to do another Playoff Live Chat right here at noon.

So bring your questions and comments, and if you need a little therapy because of the two OT losses that have ya boys in a precarious 2-2 series, well, we’ll try to provide that too.

Be there. Or else.

Also, I’m looking for more volunteers to do the Three Rangers Stars for remaining games. Game 5 and 6 are still available. If you’re interested, please e-mail me at

  1. Better Beans- speaking of goofy :-). Like your posts, don’t always agree ( fatigue ), doesn’t matter. But careful, you may eventually out metaphor yourself out :-))))))

  2. Devs/Panthers : 2-2

    Bruins/Caps: 2-2

    Keep the faith baby!

  3. Hope they don’t give the Sens as much time and space ,they def backed up to much

  4. Blogmama Go Tony!!!! on

Good morning all! Hartnell! Will miss chat, again, thank you work…..LGR!!!! LGT!!!

  5. Happy 26th, CT!!!! May the Rangers obtain a cup in this beautiful year of the celebration of your birth.

  6. Carp – when did the Rangers call up Chad Kolarik? He’s on the official game sheet for every game this series?

  7. Oh wait, he got hurt and he’s been on the Rangers roster ever since. That makes sense as to why he’s on all of the game sheets.

  8. Any of you attorneys on here do Insurance Defense? I have a second interview today and need some advice.

  9. In May I’m headed to Palm Beach for a little vacation.
Does anyone know of any good bar’s, restaurant’s etc to watch the playoffs?

  10. i’ve had a horrible dream! I dreamt that Lundqvist ate bad cookies given to him by a Sens player (don’t remember who) and he couldn’t play game 5 and instead his brother Joel Lundqvist started in net for us and we lost the game 6-0! :(

Thank god mailman rang my door and i woke up!

Every series could by 3-2 if the cards fall right this weekend – setting up some great viewing

Count Buttman must be licking his slimy lips

  12. Larry Brooks is dead on in his column today: Rangers cannot continue to get outmuscled. That’s supposed to be their thing.

  13. I don’t do it yet ANF….basically……Maybe you can help too!

Basically – I have a second interview today at a firm downtown. I am kind of scared of the place because I have always worked at laid back small firms and this place seems like a mill for attorneys. You know, suit every day, long hours, Saturdays at least once a month, that kind of place. I am just wondering what the options are once you do that for a year or two because I would assume you gain incredible experience and learn New York Practice really well. I just can’t see myself doing that for life. So do you think it’s a good career move in that it will provide me with more options down the road?

Right now I am working at an environmental law firm where I am 10% lawyer, 30% Personal Assistant and 60% Paralegal/Secretary/Accountant

  14. Manny, it depends how happy you are where you are. Does the place downtown have the initials L& J somewhere in its name?

  15. Yes ANF. It does.

I am mildly happy here but my boss is kind of erratic and we don’t really handle enough litigation.

  16. Also where I am now there is zero chance for advancement or raises or any sort of progress in my life and at -31- 26 I need to make moves.

  17. Yeah, youre married now. Youve got a wife and possibly future kids to worry about.

And I was kidding about extensive insurance defense. I just wanted someone to say *really* to me and Id respond with No, not really, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night!

Outmuscled? – Rangers seem physically smaller in every battle save for their 4 high skill guys against Boyle, Rupp and Bickel – when other teams pick up the intensity and play PO style hockey like the Rangers did all regular season, our style advantage is negated. We have tremendous heart and desire but they are playing like a mirror image of us. All the more reason Dubi, Step, and MDZ have to take up a notch.

they don’t provide the tale of the tape like football but here are some of ht/wt of some of the Sens D

    MATT CARKNER 6′ 4″ 237
    JARED COWEN 6′ 5″ 230
    CHRIS PHILLIPS 6′ 3″ 221
    FILIP KUBA 6′ 4″ 225

the series is more about youth v vets – we are very very young compared to them

  19. Manny that hockey team is not great. The coach(es) are really stringent and make players jump through hoops (and come down hard when the player makes a mistake).

  20. I hear very scary things about that Hockey team. Like they always have to play Overtime and they usually have to practice on Saturdays. You think I should run away screaming from that hockey team?

  21. I was thinking about canceling the second interview. At least where I am I can wear jeans and blog all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Jerry: “Oh no you don’t! Osgood, I’m gonna level with you. We can’t get married at all.”

Osgood (Joe E. Brown): “Why not?”

Jerry: “Well, in the first place, I’m not a natural blonde.”

    Osgood: “Doesn’t matter.”

Jerry: “I smoke! I smoke all the time!”

    Osgood: “I don’t care.”

Jerry: “Well, I have a terrible past. For three years now, I’ve been living with a saxophone player.”

    Osgood: “I forgive you.”

Jerry: [tragically] “I can never have children!”

    Osgood: “We can adopt some.”

Jerry: “But you don’t understand, Osgood!”

[Finally gives up and pulls off his wig]

    Jerry: “Ohh… I’m a man!”

    Osgood: “Nobody’s perfect!”

  23. we should hire Manny here at the blog. Anybody want to pass the hat?

    Happy 26th, CTB!

BANJ, thank you for those very special birthday links you posted yesterday. They were hilarious.

Good morning, Sally! Your mom rules.

  24. Thanks Carp & ilb!

Manny should definitely work at RR!!! I have some pocket change, paper clips, and some used gum I can throw in the hat. GO MANNY!

  25. Mrs is fine, Sally, thanks. She is a bit too busy at work to my liking, but she is ok. Her offices usually slow down during summer time,….

  26. I see Callahan and Richards are back together with Gaborik on a different line. Well Hank better pitch a shutout cause that line certainly aint scoring and unless Stepan raises his game as well, Gaborik might not be able to score either.

Hopefully, this doesn’t cost the Rangers the game and can reunite our top line for game 6…

manny – everybody want to work for a living…they want to see the game on saturday, they want to keep their children warm……solidarity…

  28. You’re right, Carp. You’re really speaking my language there. I did grow up in dairy farming area.
