Who is Chris Kreider?
Eric – I am serious. If we head to Ottawa 1-1 I will be happy. If we go up 2-0 I will be ecstatic. I just think it’s highly unlikely.

I went up a few blocks to where the “Stanley Cup Statue Fountain” is in Times Square. One hour after the ceremony the stage was being broken down, the real Cup was gone, Bettman was gone as were the ex-NHL’ers. Weak. I did get a free plastic cup with a picture of Lord Stanley’s Cup on it with the words OTTAWA clearly visible on top. Great.
A part of NY, will be cheering on the Sens. Binghamton will be having Sens viewing parties throughout the downtown area.

Rob – it happened at 11 A.M. I already went up there and posted about it above. You can go there after 1P.M. and get a FREE black cheap plastic cup that might fall apart before you make it back to your office. Additionally, you can fill that cup from the Stanley Cup fountain which sprays NYC tap water!

Carp. What makes you so sure that the series will be 1-1 after two games? Does that mean that based on your prediction, you think the Rangers will win the next three games in a row?
Yeah, really. I think whoever was that sick should have stayed the hell away from the team during playoff time.
Forget it, the Rangers FB page quote was misleading. He is on the ice at the same time as them in the photo, not skating on a line with them.

thats so funny, if you read articles aboot it, says it will be in the “afternoon” probably a ply by bettman to confuse real fans from going down there….what does the nhl do thats not bush league….unless of course its aboot the pens or buck tooth….
It’s a great question, really. Maybe they meant you can drink from Lord Stanley’s fake plastic cup in the afternoon. That might be true. Weak crowd up there. I asked if the real cup was still there and the woman handing out cups said, “yea there” – and pointed to the Fountain. I had to tell her that the real Cup was kind of smaller. And Metal. And didn’t spray tap water everywhere.

ANF, unless the Senators win Game 1 … then I’m saying Rangers win four in a row, I guess. But odds are, six or seven of the eight series will be 1-1 after two, and most often the underdog steals Game 1 and things get righted in Game 2.
boy, i hope kreider can learn the rangers complex system of backchecking and playing hard. because really, having rupp in the lineup for 4 minutes a game is a must if the rangers are going to win a stanley cup.

re: the jackwagon with the whooping cough … he’s an Ottawa reporter, or maybe Western Canada. It’s a really small room, and everybody was crammed in there hoping he’d go outside and finish his cough sequence. Also I may be overly optinmistic but I dont think this team is going to need to be righted. i think thety will come out these two games at the Garden like gangbustas, so to speak, and I think Ottawa may manage a split at home before the Rangers finish it off in 5. If it were the Caps I’d be much more concerned. I think in this series the Rangers can will themselves to domniant performance unlike future rounds where it gets much harder. The next round is where I see more obstacles.
Does wicky know if the mrs. wicky is prepared to make another baby if the Rangers win the Cup this year? Wickys are gonna have to get to work again in July if we win!

I won’t be one that panics. I expect the Rangers to lose game 1. Of all of my playoff predictions, this is the one of which I am second most certain. I am first most certain that no team seeded 6th or lower will win the Cup.
