The Baby Buffaloes have won two in a row, and haven’t lost in regulation in their last six (4-0-2). Prior to their two wins over Montreal and Tampa Bay, they played four straight OT games, three of which went to the breakaway contest, and they lost two of the breakaway contests yet gained valuable Bettman Bonus Points.
Henrik Lundqvist starts in goal for the Rangers, who go with the same lineup. That means Ruslan Fedotenko, John Scott, Jeff Woywitka, Anton Stralman and Steve Eminger are prucha’d.

This is not rocket science. This is hockey. When you’ve pulled two men across and left a 4-on-3 in front of goal, THROW THE PUCK AT THE NET. Better than trying to dipsy-doodle your way in and then push it wide to your short side.
That’s the second time Dublowsky shot the puck right into Miller’s stomach. Terrible aim.

Signs of general tiredness: brainfart in innocent situation, inability to score on a 100% chances, making childish mistakes and panic mode under pressure in own zone. Not a very optimistic view in this time of year.
Besides, Babies was absolutely beatable, but needed it more, what they demonstrated by passion and discipline, which Rangers was lack tonight.

Miller didn’t seem that unbeatable to me.
Hank looked fantastic to start, but once Mitchell kicked the puck in he pretty much gave up. It’s got to be tough to know that the guys in front of your aren’t going to score much, but when those same guys are screwing you over defensively, it’s probably hard to keep your head in the game.

keep the puck in sabres zone. both times the man back played it badly
and Hank was beaten.
Mickey, I’m not being argumentative, but stop making excuses for them. If the Rangers play like this in the 1st round, they will be out after round 1. They need to play their best hockey going into the playoffs, because these efforts on this home stand have been pretty pathetic for the most part.

Mitchell’s came when it was tied at one and occurred in the high slot when the Rangers had a four on two. No puck battles there. Staal made a pinch that’s unwise in any situation. Stepan had a similarly boneheaded play in the high slot.

I will agree on the Game 7 thing, Gmen. However, no team is perfect, and yes, we know this team is flawed offensively. I just think this year they’ve built up enough to cut them some slack, especially when you consider than they are a year or two ahead of the plan, at least imo.
