Tough loss tonight. The Pens seem to have our number the last three games. Bylsma has figured out how to play against us and so far Torts hasn’t found an answer for it. They sure are a good team when everyone of them is healthy and will be a real tough out in the playoffs. In fact, I would say they are the favorite to win it if they play like this. Granted, we didn’t have the captain and MdZ tonight and AA got injured halfway through the game but you really can’t use injuries as an excuse against Pittsburgh of all teams.
I thought the defense played a horrific game tonight! All of them did. Not one dman stood out for their good play. I thought that this was by far the worst game that McD has played as a Ranger.
No one on any of the other lines was much of a threat. This is why ultimately,talent wins out in the end when all other things are equal. I particularly feel that this Mike Rupp experiment has to end and end fast! He is useless against teams like the Pens and is a big minus to have in the lineup.
Kudos to Richards,Gabby and Hagelin who were outstanding again tonight against one of the best teams in the league that has an elite defense as well. They proved that they are a legit big time line tonight. I wish some of the others would have done something as well.
In the end, the Pens now have our number as much as we have the Fly’s and B’s number. We are not in their league yet but if Hank can outplay Fluery who knows .
No disgrace in losing to the Pens, but disappointing how easy it’s been for them to win in the last three.
