Hello, everyone. Glad to be with you again. I’m in for Carp at tonight’s game, still 26 years young.
I had been told/warned John Tortorella’s pregame chats with the media were brief. Well, safe to say there will be ovations during tonight’s “State of the Union” that last longer than this one. Much longer, in fact.
The tape is 50 seconds total. Here it is, in all its glory…
John Tortorella:
Erik (Christensen) is coming back after the conditioning stint. Do you have any plans for (Wojtek Wolski) with an extra guy back?
“No plans. Just worried about tonight’s game.”
You’ve said in the past you want to develop a home-ice advantage. Do you feel like you’ve done that this year more?
“We’re just trying to play — trying to play the right way whether it’s home or away.”
Did Marty (Biron) just call in this morning…?
“He’s sick.”
When you started 3-3-2 did you see the team doing the things you wanted them to do?
“I can’t even remember back then. I can’t.”

Torts is too funny.
Josh, when this blog started with Sam Weinman, you were older than me. Now you are younger.
Ok, I’ll go for the hatty for my eldest serving in the great NW.
As always, we text LGR !!!

Jeez, can’t even get the HT.
Ah! If the Ranger forwards stop thinking as much as I do trying to post maybe they’ll score more goals :-}
How do we know this is really Josh ?
Hi, Josh…Lol, we’ve seen shorter interviews…
JOSH !!! Sorry Torts didn’t give you something more exciting to work with – lol LGR!!!!
Well, hello?
Good to see you, Josh. I’ll never forget when you stood in for Sam that one time and gave a very brief update from practice (when we were used to loads of information from Sam every morning and multiple updates through the day) and we shook you down pretty hard in the comments here…you responded by REALLY upping your game and dropping massive loads of information and flooring us all with your next update…it was funny and awesome. Hope you’re well.
Great memory, Sally…
@Tony: Ask him how old he is …

Doodie… As I’ve said in the past, only Bart Simpson has had a longer year than I have.
Salty…
Even as an occasional poster, I need to query my fellow Blue Shirt fans and ask for some insight.
Has anyone here been through lumbar fusion surgery?
The reports to date have been relatively positive, but I’m also looking at things like getting back on the ice, if even to just take my grandchildren around the rink for a couple of laps.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get the kind of feedback from folks around here being south of the Mason-Dixon. Ice skating is kind of foreign to them ;-}
Hi Josh – we havent met, I am the Eddie on the far left…. But since there are only 3, I could simply I am the Eddie, literally, on the left.
Josh,
Saw you at the AARP party, meant to say hi.
simply say
Lumbar fusion surgery? Holy vicodin batman
Eddie cubed, yeah it would be nice except I’m over the med approach. I’ve been healing with this carcillo for over a year now, and all they can throw at me is the symptom treatment.
I’m over it, just want some semblance of normalcy @ a little over 50. I’m too young for this carcillo
;-}
sorry for the whining
healing = dealing
see what I mean ;-}
When I need medical advice I always ask on a hockey blog.
