It will be fun seeing some of the old-timers back in uniform. Not sure it’s two and a half hours worth of fun.
I’m sure some of the players will be mic’d up and no doubt interviewed while on the bench. I just hope that the broadcast doesn’t become more about the televising crew (Pierre) than about the players on the ice. I worry that it will.
They’d better have Lauren Hart sing the national anthems today and Monday. And not some TV quasi-celeb who doesn’t know his/her ear-hole from his/her elbow pad.

1) In case you missed it earlier, Sean Avery cleared waivers at noon. Guess the Islanders weren’t that desperate.
2) I was told that Carl Hagelin was asked if he wanted to switch his number from 62 now that he’s probably here to stay, and that he declined.
3) Also in case you missed it, Michael Del Zotto (aka Del Zaster; copyright eric) and Tomas Kopecky were each fined $2,500 for their incident at the end of last night’s game. The NHL is cracking down on head shots … blah, blah, blah, blah. Wake me up when they get serious about it.

Just to report – as of midnight, there is no longer any MSG programming on the TWC system here in Brooklyn – all they are airing is their side of the dispute, with commercials in between.
Went to the alumni game today and had a blast. A few drunken idiot fans on both sides but overall everyone in the stands had fun.
Carp – you were right about everything being about the Flyers. I thought this was an NHL event but there was very little about the Ranger alumni. They showed the MSG produced clips from Brian Leetch night and Bathgate/Howell night and that was about it.
Party at my house later today for those of you who aren’t hung over yet, lol.
