Accidental incident in first moments of warmups. Parenteau lost his edge and fell and came sliding across the red line as the Rangers were circling on their side of the ice. Parenteau went right into an unsuspecting Woywitka, who had to leap over him and looked quite shocked.
At one point, Village People was yaking with Callahan. Can’t imagine what that was about.

carp, I went to the ranger/islander game with my nephew a few years ago. It was the game at the end of the year. The rangers won the game and a huge brawl broke out right above us. There were allot of security that got involved and this one guy near me was so upset he used his cell phone and actually called the cops. That’s when i turned to my nephew and said “let’s get out of here”. There was only 10 se3conds left in the game. That is normal for a ranger/islander game. It’s like fight night after the alcohol takes affect.

I will still argue that he needs to be the number 2 center, and for that matter Wolski needs to be the top LW. you have to have balance. one line does not cut in the NHL. the Rangers can keep waiting for AA to reach his potential, or they can put the better player at the number 2 center position.

I generally favor the Original Six teams (except Montreal). Chicago stunk for years until their decrepit owner Wirtz dropped dead. When they revived and were finally getting good, they were a joy to watch. I enjoyed the Black Hawks Cup run almost as much as the Rangers in ‘94. (I said ALMOST). It is much more satisfying the “rooting against”, although there is some joy in watching Philly lose all these years…

Olga, if I were ever to go that route, the Hawks or Detroit would probably be the teams for me. I’ve always had a “love-hate” thing with Chicago from back in the day (believe it or not!) when Rangers-Hawks met in the playoffs for lots of seasons in a row…..in the late 60’s early 70’s.
I always liked Bobby Hull, too – I always wished that the Rangers would be able to pry him from Chicago, but it was WHA money that finally got that job done.
