Brad Richards for the early birds

If you’re up and near a radio or a TV, Brad Richards is going to be a guest on the Boomer and Carton show on WFAN/MSG this morning at 8 a.m. I imagine you can catch it again on either outlet’s web site, or when MSG re-runs the show later on.

The Rangers have a Garden of Dreams thing going on in the city today, kids joining players on a bus tour that will stop at Ground Zero. Hope to have some photos or highlights later on.

  1. Carp, a repost from the last thread: have you and your Rangers-fan editor discussed your role on the “beat” for the upcoming season? Hope they let you at least cover all the home games this year.

  2. Adam, hasn’t been discussed much yet … hope to do at least as much as we did last year … and that one road game on Jan. 2.

    Good morning, Sally!

  3. Orr – You sure that wasn’t an Ohio license plate? I’d run the bastard down if he traded me there…

  4. MSG Network going all out for Traverse City Tournament. Gianone, and Joe will be doing games, and Maloney will be by the Rangers bench. full access to locker room before game and between periods. sound like it is going to a lot fun.

You check out Guitar George he knows all the chords
Mind he’s strictly rhythm he doesn’t want to make it cry or sing
And an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing …..

    Morning ILB and all!!!

I love labour day because it is the ceremonial end to summer and SUMMER SUCKS!!!

  7. Ive been going through my old and newer games, and I have every Rangers game from last season, preseason, regular season, and postseason. If anyone wants any games on DVD, let me know. Or if anyone knows how to download .rar parts from sites like fileserve, megaupload, wupload and Winrar them, I can do that too. I plan on getting every game this season with pre and post games. Im still trying to learn how to upload video to youtube, I know how you guys like Torts postgames so Id like to upload them to youtube somehow.

Tiki, sorry you weren’t picked up by anyone in the NFL. At least you have your new wife-to-be that you were seeing when you were still married to your pregnant wife. Way to go, quitter. Oh, wait, wrong Tiki…

  9. Good, Latona, and you? Hi Julie! How is the trio of beautiful ladies (you, mom, aunt)? I really miss ur aunt, she was something else, Mrs. David Wells!

  10. We’re all doing great Tiki. My aunt will be heading down to Florida in about another month, so she’s happy about that.

Lunch: Chicken soup with dumplings and tuna salad with capers on toasted whole wheat bread.

  12. Opinions on the Winnipeg Jets jerseys? I think they are kind of bland. They need to “pop” more. Maybe be a bit more classic?

  13. Yea I agree – I really hate that stripey area on the sleeve. It’s really bad…kind of like an old Reebok track suit or something. They need to drop the circle – agreed. Maybe have the jet flying out of the Maple Leaf? Break up the Jersey more and please pick better colors. Those colors are so drab.

  14. Winnipeg Jets jersey gets “two thumbs down”… i was thinking the same thing…way too many circle logos… extremely unoriginal.

    Old Jersey = winning

    New jersey = forgettable

  15. May you and your family have a great (and *SAFE*) trip, ilb – and bring us Boneheads back a virtual souvenir from The Holy Land! :-)

  16. Some parts of the *STATE* of New Jersey are very nice – their hockey team, on the other hand, not so much.

  17. For those of you who don’t get the email.

LMAO @ at the funny faces from the link above

  18. just for fun I added 2 rookies.
    Dubi, Richards, Gabby.
    Thomas, Stepan, Cally.
    Fedotenko, Boyle, MZA.
    Haglin, Rupp, Prust.
Wolski would not make the team in this scenario.
Avery and Crusher would be spares.

  19. opps,
I forgot AA. could put him on the left of the Boyle line, move Fedotenko to right, and send MZA to Hartford.

  20. you could also have Boyle center 4th line, with Rupp on the left, and have AA center the 3rd line. that probably makes more sense.
    man I miss Hockey!

bull dog that’s nuts but I can appreciate your enthusiasm is wanting the season to start already :D

  22. Didn’t Carton previously work at some obscure radio station in New Jersey before they hired him on WFAN? I don’t know how Esiason can stand working with the twit….

  23. I haven’t captured the little bastard. I’m thinking of pulling a Dexter on him instead, in honor of the upcoming season. I’ll tie him down with some floss, show him pictures of mosquito bitten victims, make a speech, and stab him with a toothpick, and throw his body in the ocean [toilet]

  24. Carton was on NJ 101.5 in the afternoons and if I remember correctly he had a sports guys talk show on 102.7 when they went talk radio many years ago.

That was a pretty bad interview how about letting the guest speak.

  25. billybleedsblue on

what a carpy interview. these guys are assenclowns, don’t expect to take them seriously if you listen to the interview. at times I find them funny, but man, could they have prepared maybe a little for this interview? With interviews like this it’s no wonder so few sports fans take hockey seriously. Way to go mainstream media, way to go. HOW THE HECK DID THEY EVEN MENTION JETER DURING THIS INTERVIEW??? LOL what a bunch o’ maroons! I’m turning it off, I can wait to hear more from this guy, he’s gonna be around for a while, lol.

  26. ORR, you’re a sick man – but then again, we think alike on many things, so I guess I’m whacked out, too! ;-D

  27. Thanx, Chopper – I thought I heard that he came from a Jersey station – boy, there was nobody better out there to hire!?

  28. By the way, ORR – only *female* mosquitos have the proper equipment that can pierce the skin of humans – so you got bit by a little *gal* bug there – does that moderate your anger in any way!?

  29. ^ definitley gonna say “come on dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwn” when Richards scores this year…De Niro reference upon goal celebration TBD
