Hi kids. I’m at the Senior Players golf championship today, then on vacation for a week Monday.
Not going anywhere, so I’ll be here a whole bunch during the vacation, but we do have a pile of guest bloggers lined up. Hope they all remember to write and to send me their stories the night before they are due.

After the Drury and Redden debacles I hope the next players contract hasgive back clauses for players who don’t live up to expectations. Example if you sign a contract with a team expecting 30 goals and you score 15 maybe a 50% cut in pay is in order. After all players hold out for more money when they score more than expected.
The best clause in a new CBA would be: No “no-move” clauses. In other words, anybody can be expunged from the salary cap with a minor-league demotion. That might serve as incentive, eh?

My brother is a jerk. He calls me last night saying the Rangers made a trade and scooped up Dany Heatley for draft picks and a few minor players. I didn’t believe him and he was saying …fine if you don’t believe me but its true. I instantly went to the blog …..nope no news. I really did not know if we did such a thing, plus I wanted Spezza instead. I know now he was lying and him being an Oilers fan….I hope we murder those bums IF we play ‘em this year!!!

I mostly like/agree with this though:

Momma!!! The Rangers will make a push for the playoffs and the Stanley Cup. Look at those Filthy Philly Flyers …they had a bunch of stuff that made them bottom feeders one year..then to the finals the next year. They barely made it in the playoffs on game 82 frickin two in a SHOOT OUT of all things. They made it on our loss to them..it should ,coulda , and woulda been ours. Plus that one year Chris ” selfish” Drury won the game for the Sabres to ultimately lose us the playoffs. The point is we are CLOSE to a cup. We will win and youse all can be happy. Some peeps were not around in 1994 and we need anutha RANGER PARTAY!!!

I just read something in the Hartford Howlings piece about their Whaler kids are going to be skating at Champion Skating arena in CROMWELL?????
Where the heck is a hockey rink in CRomwell? I never heard of one,and it’s a beautiful little town on the CT River but most important it’s where my youngest daughter lives with her family….......... ( two girls who are champion swimmers). One has won a scholarship for competetive swimming from Pace Unversity in Westchester county.No one ever mentioned a Rink there. I’m gonna have to look into this!
