New York/Toronto (July 20, 2011) – The New York Rangers will play an exhibition game in Bratislava, Slovakia, against HC Slovan at SLOVNAFT Arena, on Sunday, Oct. 2, as part of the 2011 Compuware NHL Premiere Challenge. Face off will be 5 p.m. local time/11 a.m. ET

Bratislava recently completed a successful experience as host of the 2011 IIHF World Championships.

REPOST: Calla-hand me more money.
That should be his pre-arbitration name if he’s not signed. Or is Captain Callahan above the vitriol that gets directed at Dubinsky? I mean body checks and blocked shots make up for not scoring goals but still getting paid a bunch right? (sarcasm to enhance my point)
I mean if you’re going to crucify Dubinsky for getting $4 point anything mil or more a year and not being a 25 goal scorer, then the same rules have to apply to Callahan.
And don’t even begin to type intangibles.

YAHTZEE.
HAHA. Good one CT. I almost sprayed iced tea from my mouth all over my desk and computer. Which would have also been funny…. but then a byfuglien pain to clean up.
intangi…oh, forget it!
Hey!
Carp! WTF – we can’t get to 500 posts if you keep cutting us off around 400!
Gab – that name is awesome.
Carp will use these numbers against us in our Bonehead Arbitration hearing.
REPOST:
Brett Hull counts as a USA player.
He also was the funniest player of all time. He sounded like Winnie The Pooh (after throwing back a couple beers and smoking a pack of cigarettes a day). He also cursed on national TV after a bad call in the 96 World Cup of Hockey.
Carp
I was only joking about the leetch post last thread, just trying to incite unrest to drive up numbers! Instigating if you will.
I wonder what those negotiations would be like:
Manny will get his empty netters held against him
wicky will be evaluated on effort (posting while packing to move)
Orr would not be arb eligible as he hasn’t reached the minimum age
LW would get less because he’s a Europansy
This is how Dubinsky plans to go into his arbitration hearing if he doesn’t get his way…

I’m also happy that Traverse City will be televised.
I think $1.25 per comment is way too much for Carp! He doesn’t block any shots! Probably can’t even skate (anymore?) and doesn’t throw his body around!
FIRE CARP! ;p
Not to be outdone… Calla-hand me more money prepares for his meeting…

Congrats, you’re my agent!!
We can’t even get to 500 comments…
Carp should get somewhere around $0.70 to $0.92. Considering he’s not hitting open market.
DJK- which part of Hull’s off-ice behavior makes him an USA player?
Haha…Bonehead Arbitration…I will hold out forever! I am sure I can get a better contract over at Defending The Core!
Defending the Core is gone! http://defendingthecore.blogspot.com/2011/01/blog-update.html
Defending the Core will give you an inflated deal Manny just to reach the post count floor.
You just made me cry, Manny…..No Mets updates?
‘Tis a sad day indeed…
Ascending the Floor: A Tequila blog
One thing is sure, Sather is crazy…How can you schedule four games in five nights as a preparation the two game series in Stockholm ????
They probably play with two different squads but when you are a real hard core Rangers fan here in Europe, do you want to see playing them without their real stars ????
This is a piss-take for all Rangers fans over here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It can’t be gone! David Klein is gone forever!
Defending the No More!
Great news! I’m excited to watch these kids play!! Hockey in September!!
I love Dubi(es). A good Dubi is worth the money…trouble is, you don’t what type of Dubi you’re going to get!
LMFAO @ Did you expect to see your blog here? See: ‘I can’t find my blog on the Web, where is it?’
I guess i will have to sign with Carp since there are no other blogs out there!
Nice point
CCCPI love this place. Great discussions in the last thread today…
Too bad we can’t use “Defending The Core” and turn it into an internet force to be reckoned with.
I think RR IT completely erased Klein off the face of the earth! lol
CCCPyou think he’s in some underground prison owned by LoHud?The internet walked away from David Klein’s arbitration ruling, thus he became an unrestricted gap in cyberspace.
I guess i’ll have to delete his blog from my favorites tab.
Carp is the physical, hard hitting, domain name clearing D-man we’ve been looking for all along!
Are the Met’s still 5-12?
It is just ridicoulous ! Nobody will take them serious over here ? How stupid can you be to see some second string player in those contests..Tickets par exemple for the game in Gothenborg are more expensive than regular season tickets at MSG !!!!!!
You guys really sure you talk NY Rangers any more ?????
Mets*
Duh!!
If Team Canada chose Hull in ‘86 for the World Championships, we never would have had any debate over his legitimacy as an American player. Fact is, the Golden Brett was still playing in college and Team Canada only wanted NHL’rs. Hull wanted to play so badly in the tournament that he scrambled to become a US citizen and was chosen to be on team USA’s mostly college roster, thus sealing his fate as an “American” in international competition.
you can follow David on twitter
https://twitter.com/#!/graves9
i think thats him
cluzzia
come on in! take your hat and shoes off. have a sit… would you like a glass of cold water? it’s summer, after all.
Can’t be him. Every tweet doesn’t end with “Defending the Core – A Rangers Blog”
If David Klein is on Twitter you better get him up in the Players Box! (a/k/a Kayomama, Wackamole, etc.)
CCCP..but you agree with me ?????
Isn´t it a real business trip instead of sports, what we fans want to see ????
Do you have an argument ????
How can you discuss a frenchise, which wants to fool their own fans ????
Do you have an argument ????
I’m off to the KHL then, CTB.
I was hoping I could go to an exhibition game in Sweden before the proper games in Stockholm, but this bizarre schedule has put paid to any thought of that.
Frenchise with bacon and cheese are delicious.
Do you have an argument????
Freedom Frenchise
cluzzia
honestly… i am not sure what you’re talking about lol
I AM SURE YOU GUYS DONT HAVE AN ARGUMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD NIGHT NEW YORK RANGERS !!!!!!!!!!!!
I would argue, that i haven’t the slightest clue what your argument is about.
Though i do enjoy my frenchise with bacon and ranch. For dipping purposes.
Good night!
I am just waiting to hear they play the fifth game on Oct. 1st in the bull ring of Madrid Espana to make the game more popular in the south !!!!
Sounds good, Gab, in the words of Mav. “I’ll clean them and fry them.”
enough of all these pre season games in europe. this team will be dead tired by the time they play on oct 7th and 8th to start the year.
this 7 game trip to start the season is vital.
It is a bit absurd. All sports are doing it now. Pathetic
Doodie, you always discuss the Rangers very seriously, do you understand my points and what is your take about that ?????
Manny, absurd is not strong enough a word its way understated….
Carp – you are way off regarding JR…he is not even close to being adismal
and JR’s language skills are a result of him being really really stupid…...it’s not like it is his fault or anything…
Ovechkin TOTALLY out of shake: http://tinyurl.com/3fl2mdd
Check that out!?
You guys like to be part of a business or you guys like to be discussing a real sports ??????
and is real sports still existing ???????????????
Xcluzzia,
it was a name of one fancy rancho not far from Mexico, and realtors advertize it like all and total incluzzia. But your point is respectively taken and no, there are no arguments at all.
Wow, the chubs make Ovi look…human! He’s not a machine after all?!
He reminds me of one of those guys who get shot in the stomach with cannonballs in the early 1900’s.
LOL! I’ll never forget when JR cried on live TV when USA lost the gold medal game. Yup, he’s a dandy. He’s a real fancy boy.
Nice to see Traverse City on TV. Let’s get nuts.
new post.
Carp mulched another blog???
All bow to the mighty carpinator!!!
HAIL CARP!!!
HAIL CARP!!!
HAIL CARP!!!
Bless my soul.. I first thought it would be an actor in the role of Ovechkin but thats real Ovechink..
How much blini or caviar can you eat to get such monsterous stomach ????:)
He looked like a sumo to me and this guy wants to continue to be a top star in the NHL and it was talked about he wants to change his offseason workouts…
God help the NHL :)
sorry for this long post
but
in regards to Dubi’s possible arbitration hearing
and ongoing contract talks
i’m just wondering
who is his agent?
because this is the second time that it’s been difficult
signing him to a contract so
either Dubi has a higher sense of self
than what is shown in reality
or his agent does.
no, i’m not saying trade him unless a VERY good deal
presents itself
but if one is to believe Uncle Larry
Dubi is not in the same class as Bobby Ryan
at least not as consistent
yes, i know there’s posturing in negotiations
there’s stuff that leaks that’s true and untrure
but
it’s a FACT that this is the 2nd time Dubi is up for
a contract and it’s not getting done easily (again)
unlike Hank or Boyle or Gabby or Richards or Cally or…
so,
what’s the problem?
or
better
who’s the problem?
Sweden and Slovakia – too bad they’re not also going to the Czech Republic – Orr, can you imagine the women that the boys are going to be sampling over there!? It’s gonna be a “smorgasbord” of trim for the Rangers at the season’s start – I hope they have something left for the rest of the season when they get back here! ;-D
