Just a few things as we get ready for the first round of the NHL draft tonight.

First, Kevin DeLury of the New York Rangers Blog [1] dropped me this note: [2]

“Just wanted to let you know that sales of the Derek Boogaard memorial logo t-shirt has raised $5,500 for Defending the Blue Line (Boogaard’s charity).

Sales end tonight at midnight and I would love if you could maybe make a mention on your blog or thru Twitter to help get to $6,000.

Shirts can be purchased here: http://www.glassbangers.com/products/LIMITED-EDITION:-Derek-Boogaard-Memorial-Shirt.html [3]

The Rangers & Wild have publicized the sales through Facebook and Twitter plus Steve Somers of WFAN gave it a mention during his opening monologue the other night which you can listen to here: http://www.nyrangersblog.com/2011-articles/june/rangers-support-boogaard-t-shirt-sales.html. [4]
