Today is the anniversary of the Rangers’ Canyon of Heroes parade, and all that noise in lower Manhattan, and Mike Keenan being serenaded with “Four More Years” chants (and he wouldn’t last four more weeks), and Mike Richter turning to Mark Messier amid the wild scene on Broadway and saying, “I wish we could get a flat tire so we could stay here a while.”
That was when New York showed the world how to celebrate a championship.
And, naturally, it was also the day that O.J. Simpson rode in a white Bronco in the infamous low-speed chase that kicked the Knicks’ NBA final game into a picture-in-picture square on the screen.
Meanwhile, will you please watch my car? (click here).

Good morning, boneheads!
Happy 26th, Wicky!
Good morning..
I remember the day was a in the 90’s ..
LIRR was on strike or rumored to be on strike. I rollerbladed from my job installing windows at 1088 park avenue to catch the parade. My boss, the islander fan told my manager not to leave the job until i got back, how i deserved it and probably wouldnt see another one like it in my lifetime. I laughed and said thanks for the unpaid day off (but transport in and out of NYC) but this would be the first of many with this squad.
So…ummm…when is pre-season?
Happy Birthday Wicky!

Brooks reporting that Drury can’t be bought out because he will be declared “medically unable to play”.
That sound you hear is the Rangers’ summer plans going down the drain…
I saw it this morning, LW. He needs to file the papers first…But in terms of summer plans going down the drain- not necessarily….
Great clip Carp – snorted my water out my nose! Too bad (for everyone) about Drury, think he was done but its a shame the way these things happen. Cally for Captain…
The parade was awesome. I remember being on the subway. Everyone was wearing a Rangers jersey and going to the parade. I was supposed to be in a meeting but I told my boss I had to go to the parade because it would probably be the only one in my lifetime. (It’s really starting to look that way!)
Great of Drury to consider needs of the team he fleeced out of millions with his fraudulent play. What a captain!! Makes you really appreciate was Naslund did a few years ago – that’s a real man.
Congrats to Bruins Nation…well deserved…well done….39 years is a long time
Looking forward to next season and another year of Cally, Dubie, Stepan, MZA, Staal, McD, Sauer, MDZ, Erixon, (Thomas/Bourque?), all these terrific kids getting better and better, and for Gabby a real bounce back season with 42 or more goals !
Faulkner?
Happy 26th Wickster!
I think he should take the hint and retire, if I were him I wouldn’t want to be remembered for ending his career with a contract dispute.
I will make Drury medically unable to play if he keeps this up!
You have got to be kidding me. At least Dolan will save a cool $2.7 million, the difference between buyout and insurance coverage.
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/rangers/oh_no_drury_duty_SvEySe827jXnaAe8XRQAnK
Can we organize a boycott of his stupid pizza place?
Happy Birthday Wicky!
Doesn’t this help us? I mean, doesn’t this allow us to have his full contract off the books next year with no cap implication for this year and next?
So we will have a harder time staying under the summer cap, big deal. Were we really so close that the extra 3.4 million was the difference between making it and not?
DJK, he can either retire, or file some papers and get $5 million for nothing, then retire.
Sorry, but it seems like the choice is pretty clear.
One of the things i remember about the rangers cup run was that hockey was being played by lots of kids..the rinks where i played had a lot more players coming in and tryouts for kids team were full. the results were that the kids who stuck with the game elevated the metro area hockey skills and a few went into college and pro ranks. Today ,isnt the case the economy and the rangers have hampered local development , just go to the local rinks and HS games and the level isnt the same.
It’s actually a $2.3M savings, not $2.7M. Larry made a mistake. His buyout would be $3.33M over the period of two years. If Drury, however, is unable to play, the insurance pays 80% of his salary ($4M) and the team pays the rest- $1M
Doodie –
I agree so i find Brooks’ point hard to understand. He is suggesting that to get the “full benefit” of Drury’s cap relief under LTI the Rangers have to be at the limit of the cap plus the % over you can be during the summer. And so his point would seem to be that the Rangers actually need to spend more to get to the cap limit over the summer. Makes no sense to me at all. Also, doesn’t Redden count against the cap again this summer? That makes about $14 million in space that we won’t be able to use until after camp.
If drury is a team player he shouldnt hide behind the nhlpa and tarnish his reputation. As the capt he should put the team first.. I’m sure he can squeeze dolan for some money and an executive position somewhere in msg land
I agree, Doodie, I do not know why LB is saying it. They can still stay under the summer cap by delaying some of the RFAs signing, and use up to $7M LTIR relief during the year.
ilb – insurance doesn’t effect the cap, does it?
“If drury is a team player he shouldnt hide behind the nhlpa and tarnish his reputation.”
What tarnishing of a reputation? They signed a contract. Crucify him for wanting to enforce it.
I don’t blame Drury one bit. If Sather was dumb enough to sign him to that deal, he should have to deal with all of the consequences.
Honestly, the worst-case scenario here is that we have to buy out Wolski.
Peter- Reden’s contract counts, so is Drury’s. As well as some of the Hartford players who played this year- prorated for the amount of days they spent in NHL.
Manny- it’s more complex. His contract will count against the cap even if he is paid by insurance, but they will be able to use his full contract ($7.05M) to go above the cap during this year.
Isn’t this just a giant win?
My fear is that he comes in September and passes the physical.
You are right Doodie , but I think he can be persuaded.. but if he can’t play because of permanent damage to his knee ,what happens if he retires or they trade his rights?
You guys are way too smart. This cap stuff just floats right over my head.
I just read Brook’s article.. they(rangers) are screwed.. Oh well !
I think he is done. He gets his full contract paid and retires. Why does he have to take chances with his health? I’m a little surprised that LB, who usually is pretty sharp with cap issues, considers that a blow. It’ll be a little difficult to navigate the summer cap, but I think it is a gain rather than loss. LTIR relief is only a bad thing if player comes back from it and the team has to go below the cap. But $7M gives them a lot of leverage. Except it may mean they will give Richards a prohibitive contract, lol
That confuses me a bit, too. Do they actually have to spend more money to get the benefit of LTIR? I thought that was as it implies, injury replacement in the event that you get someone to replace the player. If they just wait until they need it, it sounds like only the amount over the cap at that time will count and there is nothing else the team can do. It sounds fishy to me, but I’ll give Brooks the benefit of the doubt on capology.
Spider- you’re right. Except, let’s assume they sign Richards to 10M per year and someone else for 5M. And they are able to stay below the summer cap. If next year’s cap is $63M, they can actually be at $70M during the year while only paying Drury 1M.
Are we still paying Bobby Bonilla too?
Hey Dolan, you idiot, sign Drury to a lucrative, non-hockey contract, and get him to retire in exchange.
Yes.
Give him the exclusive pizza concession at MSG and that’s that.
Good morning, Carp! Come back!
Good morning, Sally!
Wade Redden: Dey didn’t derk er derrerrr! Wanna get haaaaigh??
Dolboyeb.
troll?
You think, Manny? Let him have fun. He ran out of brains long time ago, he is about to run out if computers he can use to get on RR.
Oh byfguglien….Good morning all! Good morning, Sally! Happy 26th to da bag man!!!!
Jesse Spector summarizes it:
http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/rangers/2011/06/chris-drurys-health-may-complicate-rangers-plans
Thanks ilb!
Looks better. The blog, that is :-).
Freeeeeee?
Yeah, Rod Lurks tried the same thing until he ran out of IPs. Jackwagon.
Maybe I’ll just start changing the body of his comments. Or get the legal department on him.
Happy 26th, wick!
Good morning, Sally!
I am going to officially graduate another group of young doctors who underwent their training in our residency program. This is my 16th year of training them. They all make me proud. In two weeks I will also attend another graduation for medical students of Cornell University. This will be my 14th year of teaching them. It also makes me feel very old….Shuddup, mama!
Wow – nice job Ilb. It’s good to be able to see the impact you have had on this world and I guess you can see the impact you are having and it’s a good one! As a patient I can say that I really appreciate what you guys do! Thanks, Doc.
Hey youse- shhhhh….
can’t Drury just retire, have his surgery and then if he feels he can return later on his career, he can unretire?
I can’t tell if he has too much pride or not enough.
also assuming Drury has class. can’t he waive his no trade clause and be traded to Phoenix for someone who makes 1 mil. Insurance covers the 4 mil so Phoenix can stay above the minimum salary and not have to pay him more than 1 mil.
then Drury can declare himself medically unable to play and stay in the area to work at his pizza place.
Good morning ILB and all!!
Thanks ILB, bag lady, manny, julie, hey youse, and banj for the birthday wishes. Never thought I would see 26!
Glad you guys are here because I would never understand the drury buy out/cap situation…
So will he or won’t he count? LTIR then?
ILB
congrats on the graduations, you rock!!
People are going on waivers today?
“Never thought I would see 26!”
__
LMAO!
A birthday hattie, thanks guys!!!
I am putting myself on waivers. I might become “medically unable to post.”
manny?
wicky?
isn’t it awesome that we can have people like ilb, who contribute so much to our world, and still call them Boneheads?
Youse didn’t hear it from me (or Carp), but the Rangers just signed Chad Kolarik.
I think it’s equally amazing that people like Ilb associate with people like us!
At least the weather cooperated today (on my way to work of course), but it is only 42 degrees today, much better than the crappy 70s a couple of days ago!
We can still throw a ton of money at Richards since with the LTIR spot we’d have to be pretty much at the cap. However I’m fine with not going after him and saving the 7 mil cap hit for the next season when we can look at guys like Sharp, Hemsky, or Semin. I’d rather bring Hemsky in for probably less money than the Drury contract and have the kids get another year under their belt. By that time, Thomas, Bourque, Kreider, and Grachev could be ready to come up and fill their roles for the UFAs that will be gone next year (like Avery and Christensen).
Cut it out, folks, I am a regular bonehead and very proud of it.
Chad Kolarik:
http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/chad_kolarik
Stanley Cup, here we come! :-)
Alexander Semin would be one of the worst signings in Rangers history. The guy has no heart and his stats are inflated because of the team he plays on.
If he signs here, i bet anything he never hits 30 goals once.
Jonny- $7M cap hit will be irrelevant next season. They will have to iron out the new CBA first.
modesty, a very admirable attribute of extraordinary people!!
off to work assens and thanks again!!
Rangers Suck Rangers Suck Aha Aha! Derk er derrr!
Don’t tell us you work on your Bday, wicky…WTB?
If Jagr joins the Red Wings, I’ll once again become a Wings fan, like I was back when they had Yzerman and Shanny.
The Kings will have to step aside for a year or two!
Don’t underestimate Semin. He brings the intimidation factor. Look at Staal, he hasn’t fought since the smackdown Semin gave him.
I knew it wouldn’t be that easy. Drury isn’t going to let this buyout talk ruin his summer….
Happy Birthday, wick!!!
—-
You’re a towel!!!!
$6M goon? Who can score 30? I’ll take it!
Has Drury ever let anything ruin anything?
Drury: The contract that keeps on giving!
I think there is a solution to the problem and its lies in Phoenix. The Rangers could trade Drury to their favorite trading partners Phoenix for an expiring contract of around 1-2 mil. The Rangers then trade Drury to Phoenix for the expiring contract.
Since Drury is planning on missing the season due to injury, the Rangers can trade him to Phoenix for the expiring contract. Since 4 out of the 5 mil is covered by insurance, Phoenix would only have to pay him 1 mil. Since Phoenix is giving up someone they wind up saving money but still have that 7 mil on their cap.
Phoenix saves some money on the contract and can keep them over the salary cap minimum without having to spend more money. The Rangers can clear 7 mil in cap space and Drury can receive his full salary and continue living at his current address with the only difference in his lifestyle being the name on his paycheck so there would be no reason why he wouldn’t waive his no-trade clause.
This vegetable Udon is not curing my hangover.
Happy 26!
oleo, 4 out of the 5 mi is covered by our insurance. It would not be covered by Phoenix’s.
Rangers rule. Rangers rule.
Congrats ilb! FYI all, the tech police have been called, as you can see :) If needed again, the lawyers will be on standby I gather :)
Magic!
and they’ve been called again. . .
LOL! I told you all to not get your hopes up with this Dreary shyte!
I really don’t care. One more year, and it’s over. I can be patient.
Doodie Machetto
do you have any proof on that?
It’s basic insurance principles. You can’t insure something that you already know to be damaged.
So, in other words, the Rangers, when signing Drury to the contract, got it insured against injury. Now, if Phoenix were to acquire the contract, they would have to procure their own insurance for the contract. No insurance company would insure the contract now since it is a known condition. They would disclaim as to the knee or anything related to it, which would basiclaly be worthless.
happy birthday, wickmeister! Lunch points for everyone!
They might well be toothless, but you have to think the league would contest the trading of a $7m cap hit for a player with a long-term injury on the final year of his deal.
They didn’t like it when the Leafs acquired an injured Olaf Kolzig and some other stiff at the deadline a couple of years just for Tampa’s financial purposes.
Points! Christmas come early!
“They might well be toothless, but you have to think the league would contest the trading of a $7m cap hit for a player with a long-term injury on the final year of his deal.”
They had no problem when the Devils traded Maladog to the Sharks.

People like to get stuff Doodie. Plus if you wear the shirt then someone is like, “hey where did you get that shirt?” and it advertises the charity.
You are a marketing genius, Manny.
WOW! Rory McIlroy! In the US Open at Congressional, McIlroy became the first player in the history of the tournament to amass a score of 13-under par at any point in the tournament. He achieved the feat by making a birdie at the 17th hole in the 2nd round (today).
Doodie
True, but Lamoriello was seemingly allowed to operate under his own interpretation of the rules for a good while until the Kovalchuk saga.
Lol.. don’t know if anyone made mention of this, but, Eklund blamed the Vancouver riots on terrorists..
Maybe next time we can appoint a captain who is a New York Ranger, not a spy who came in from the cold pizza.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch house, can we just strip this bastard of his “captaincy,” NOW, please!
Are you serious, Latona? Eklund hasn’t been the same since his dog died a couple of years ago….
Drury’s knee injury keeping him from being bought out is the equivalent of South Park saving their jobs from goobacks by engaging in a homosexual orgy.
“Present Day America #1!”
Thanks Latona. I used to sell the BassMaster 3000 but now I just do paperwork. My sales style was too edgy.
Two dogs dining. Pretty funny:
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=EVwlMVYqMu4&vq=medium#t=125
maybe we should give those dogs some lunch points.
ilb,
I am for real and for actual.
Hey youse,
The dogs definitely get lunch points, and you do too, for sharing the video.
LOL, that was good. I just imagined my dogs participating in that dinner. It’d be over in 15 sec…Both plates. And human’s hands too, at least the one who would be brave enough to handle Leo.
I know nothing aboot golf talk. Birds, eagles, bears, putting, etc.
Latona i saw the ‘terrorist’ thing. Really shameful. Gotta point the finger elsewhere, somehow!
Same here, Orr….Never played a game, don’t know the rules. By design. One day, I’m sure
I got a big crack out of the Dog character in the movie UP. That thing was hilarious. They were so classy but then they devoured food in such a messy way.
LOL!!!
Drury is surely pure class.
Sather tells him “Chris, we are going to buy you out and hand you a check for $3,700,000 not to play”
Drury tells Sather” screw you! I have a bumb knee and will file with the league informing them of my inability to play, that way, I can get the $ 5,000,000 I was due this year” if you read LB’s article, it is the only conclusion you can draw. Like I said, real classy. This guy has been a jerk the last three years here.
I am finally glad this bumb is gone !
I don’t think that’s classless. I don’t have a problem with what he did.
His check would be $3.33M, paid over two years. Would you be willing to forfeit the rest of it?
I have no problem with what Drury did because it is his right but any talk of him being a classy or selfless guy now goes out the window.
Doodie – You’re absolutely correct. I’m astonished fans are blaming him for anything, much less an injury Sather should have already known about before he started leaking word about the buyout.
By the way, I’m pretty sure you can’t trade an injured player. And by pretty sure, I mean 110 percent sure. That’s why Gaborik was such a crying shame for the Wild before he went UFA. He waited to have surgery, which put him out for beyond the trade deadline, meaning he was on the LTIR and couldn’t be traded. He came back about two weeks later and probably would have gotten the Wild at least a first-round pick had he been moved.
Besides, laying on Drury, a guy who put his heart into the team, is not the way to go. The more obvious way is to pull Redden aside and spell out his future with the Rangers. Or more specifically, his future with the Hartford Whale and/or Greenville Roadwarriors. Redden, who is younger than Drury, assuredly doesn’t want to spend the rest of his career in the minors. I’m sure he’s the one they’ll probably target if they need the space. Make it clear to him that he’s never coming back and maybe he’ll leave. A buyout of Redden is a lot less favorable than Drury, but really there’s only two years where it will really hurt: 2012 and 2013, when his cap hit will be $3.3 million. This year, his buy-out cap hit would be even less than Drury’s at $1.8 million. That would let the Rangers plan for a year before taking the brunt of the hit.
Better yet, if we’re talking about sending players to other teams looking to rise above the cap floor, then Redden is a great acquisition. There’s a chance he could fill a spot on defense. And if he doesn’t, then it’s back to the AHL in October. That seems a lot more logical than all this BS about screwing with Drury or convincing the poor guy he has to retire.
Blame Slats, not Drury…
oleosmirf – why do you say that? Because he’s got a degenerative knee condition and still loves hockey? It’s not his fault Sather overpaid him. At 35 and without being able to test the UFA market due to an injury, I don’t blame him for not retiring, if in fact that’s what he’s going to do. In fact, that’s the smart thing to do.
We should riot over the Drury situation. Drury-gate.
I think we should keep Dreary this season. We might have a shot at trading him at the deadline to a playoff team. Unless Dreary can’t stay away from his family, and more importantly, his pizza, for three-four months.
Even if it’s a 5th round pick. Something is better than nothing.
How can we trade him if he is medically unavailable to play?
Phil- there is no provision in CBA disallows trading the player while on IR or LTIR. Both Theodore and Bertuzzi were traded while on LTIR, IIRC. Gaborik wasn’t tradeable because he was injured and unfit to play, not because CBA doesn’t allow it.
I’m sure he’ll be good to go by then, Manny. He can’t be that hurt.
“I picked Chris Drury because he’s Chris Drury” – Brian Burke
LOL! We can definitely trade him to the Maple Leaves!
LOL! The Leaves wont be winning the Cup next season. We have a better shot at it with us, so he would put the kibosh on that deadline deal, for sure.
phil, ilb is right. Think Olaf Kolzig, Vladimir Malakhov.
why because this will be second consecutive season Drury will be paid 5+ million to rehab. The classy and selfless move would be to either retire and take a high paying job in the organization (MSG analyst, player development) or take the buyout and sign with another club.
Of course Drury doesnt have to but considering the has underperformed and has been unable to contribute the last two years, he should do it out of good will.
Insane storm action in Midtown Manhattan
Is it the Nucks fans, Manny?
I have more of a problem with what Dublowsky did than what Dreary is doing. Besides, it’s not like he’s costing us anything by sticking around.
The car prank is hilarious! Unable to buy Drury out – not so much…
You know what the classy move would be? Sather honoring the contract he gave to Drury.
Speaking of Nucks fans!
http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/17/riot-kissers-tentatively-identified/?hpt=hp_c2
A buyout is fine, because that’s part of the contract.
Expecting Drury to retire so that he walks away from $5 million? That’s just silly.
Expecting Drury to score more than 5 points while making $5 million? That’s just silly.
I think Dreary is good for 10 goals, if healthy. Maybe 15, but that’s pushing it.
Look, he won’t be playing here next season, whether by buyout or injury.
This is true.
Manny, the storm has made it downtown now. Good incentive not to leave early.
what is, Manny? :)
Good…i just came back from the city! seems i got out of there just in time!
Yea be careful Doodie. It’s a rager!
It’s true that Drury won’t be playing due to buyout or injury. It’s also true that he’s going to get a LOT of money from the NY Rangers.
I think I’ll miss him. The dreary voice, the powerful nose, the pizza, and the way he dramatically fell to the ice after blocking a shot, among other things.
R.I.P. Chris Drury!
And by R.I.P. I mean, Rest In Pizza

What about….
Randomly Injury Prone ?
It would be funny if Dreary is buried in a casket made of pizza dough, and put in an oven to incinerate. That would be appropriate.
And when they lower the pizza dough casket in the oven, instead of people throwing dirt and flowers on the casket/grave, they can throw buffalo wings, and rocky mountain oysters, as a tribute to his days with the Avs, and Sabs. Obviously the flame burning his body, and cookie the dough would be a tribute to Calgary.
cooking’
I was thinking aboot cookie dough!
And as a tribute to NY, Sather is paying for the whole service, regardless of how much it is, and how little the person deserves it!
And buy him out after he is “cooked”, Orr? That seems to be a trend..
What’s the story with the storm? I have to drive to the party soon…

You know what the classy move would be? Drury living up to the contract Sather gave him, by, 1. Having a good attitude; 2. Sacrificing his body (blocking shots, and hitting/taking out opposition bodies); 3. Scoring goals; 4. Registering assists; 5. By not “dogging it” everytime he gets a hang nail; and, 5. Acting like a captain and a leader, instead of like a girl scout on a field trip when there is a hockey game going on.

Doodie, seriously, could you make these dead-end signings known to Sather, before the fact, from now on? The man needs help, you know.
LW3H, if you were to compile the stats, as I do, in all the categories, you would then know that, more than anyone, Girardi sacrifices his body, every game, for the good of the team, and that the resident pansy, Drury, almost NEVER blocks a shot, and rarely records a hit. The numbers don’t lie, Drury deliberately manages to be at a point on the ice – away from the play, away from the action all too consistently.
This is not leadership nor living up to an insane contract – this is one of the biggest hustles in professional sports contract history. I am embarressed for Drury, and for the Rangers organization which trusted him to make a substantial contribution, and got burned at the bank and on the ice for the misplaced faith it invested in this snake oil charlatan.
Boom Boom, if only Sather listened to pretty much anyone, this blunders would be avoided.
Am I the only person tired of Kevin Weekes relentlessly flogging his caribbean vacation BS?
Chris F.
stop following him on twitter then!
One of the freaky Sedin twins said something like “I’d rather not show up for the Stanley Cup final than have a bad regular season”
You’d think it would be the other way around.
i guess he cares more about the regular season stats rather than the actual point and goal of playing in the NHL! Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard…
Thanks for the BD wishes latona, nyr, and doodie (and those silent ones from one side of the chunnel…LOL).
Yes ILB, I am. Just another day!
I vote for Couturier.
and on that note, back to work!
no thanks for me, wicky?
of course cccp, thanks ( I missed your post, my apologies)
a birthday laurel for me!
i left it for you on fb… (;
Yeah, I had to rewind the clip and hear it again, because I didn’t think I heard it right.
He did say “we”, so he was speaking for the other freak twin as well.

Voice, you’re cracking me up with that A Rangers Blog thing.
I remember the day of our Parade in the Canyon of Heroes like it was yesterday – unfortunately, I had to work that day, and despite my overwhelming JOY at the festivities of the day, I could not go to there – but I helped to cover the event (technically) on local TV here in the city.
Please Hockey Gods – one more time!? I won’t miss our next one for the world!
P.S. – as far as I know, Kirk McLean, Trevor Linden, that Tambellini kid, and the city of Vancouver still have not won a Stanley Cup – and for that, I’m grateful! ;-D
Happy Birthday, carpwicky!
Did you say a birthday “Laurel”!? Do boneheads get Laurel on their birthdays!? Mine is July First – sign me up!!! ;-D
“One of the freaky Sedin twins said something like “I’d rather not show up for the Stanley Cup final than have a bad regular season”
Well, he didn’t!
Hey you’se, I think I’m sticking with that, at least for a month or two. I got the idea after Manny brought it up, so credit has to go to him! Nobody hated Defending the Core more than I did!
But, I should really be saying “A Celebrity Nudie Blog” since that’s really what I’m promoting here.

happy birfday wicky! mines in a less than month. i will be turning 26 for the 4th time!!!!
orrzy- i finally got ps3 online so we can play some nhl 11. do u know how i can get updated rosters?? i tried but everybodys ranked the saem except zucc. hes now 73instad of 68. do thy update the minorleague players and prospects too?
I would rather win the Stanley Cup with 20 Sean Avery’s scoring three regular season goals, than lose the Stanley Cup with 20 Gretzky’s scoring 70 regular season goals. But what do I know, three-goal guys don’t get paid much? Suzy Sedin is in it for the money, apparently.
LOL! Grabby, I never bought NHL11. I wasn’t happy with the game, so I chose not to waste money on it. I’ll probably buy NHL12 though. I’m sure it will be better.
I don’t know aboot the updates, or anything aboot the game, so you’ll have to ask someone else. Maybe CC has it.

goalies can get run, the net can be locked off, and goalies will fight (oh yeah, and glass breaks)!!
grabby and jimbo
thanks!
Sounds cool. I used to love knocking the goalies down in NHL2k-something. I’m glad EA finally adopted that.
They used to have goalie fights in NHL06 I think. After you got into four fights, if you started another, the goalies would go at it.
They desperately need to change the fighting for the upcoming game. I was pissed that they didn’t change it at all. Same as NHL11. There’s a few other things that need changing, but I forget what they are. The glitches were insanely annoying!
I think I remember that in NHL06.
so let me get this straight, we can’t buy out drury due to his knee, but he can go on LTI and his full salary will not count if (IF) we go over the cap by the amount of his full salary…correct?
my next question is do we have to go over his salary with one contract like richards at 7.5 mil per season (relax folks not suggesting that just using as an example) or can it be a combo of contracts like laich for 4 mil, o brien for 1.5 mil, and rupp for 2 mil (again, just examples folks)?
Just testing if this goes through. I’ve been having problems posting lately.
read you lima charlie sis!
That happens to me a lot, sister jpg. I post comment, and it doesn’t show. Fuggin annoying!
Avoid Wikipedia. ESPECIALLY the gamma ray bursts page.
Problem appears to be fixed.
Boom Boom
This’ll get Carped (or Hey yoused) but I could’ve sworn that Drury led NHL forwards in blocked shots at some point at least, if not at the end, of the 09/10 season. Again, don’t take this as me being at all supportive of his tenure as a Ranger, but that particular criticism just doesn’t add up.
Was it Brendan Witt’s birthday recently?
My memory isn’t failing me after all:
http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/227/clutchbargain.jpg
And for wehat it’s worth, he was 1st, 3rd and 12th in the previous three seasons. Yes, probably inflated by the generous/blind MSG scorers, but hardly the sign of a Druropansy.
Morning ILB and all!
Lw
Druropansy=priceless. You sure like Witt a lot don’t you!?
Manny?
