Team USA is taking on Switzerland over in Slovakia this morning, but I don’t think there’s much at stake—I haven’t really paid attention to this J.V. tournament or its technicalities, especially since it insists on having games and perhaps a championship decided by a silly, gimmicky skills competition.

I love the first two rounds of the playoffs because not only is it the best hockey of the year, but because there are games every night, usually multiple games each night. Now it starts to dwindle down to one most nights, and soon one every other night or so, and then none for months. Bryzgalov.
