  1. man lundqvist is a real good goalie… he is 29, we need to get him some offense before it is too late…………

we are the preds with less offensive d men……..

  2. Olga Folkyerself on

Must be a blind miami pimple. I can’t see him, but it feels like he’s still there…

  3. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

hey thanks for the carping bro!!

so I never figured we would sweep the caps and I really don’t care if they win the last four in a row as long as they win four. RELAX folks!!

I think the first pair are pretty much to blame on the winner (semin was OPG’s guy and well he scored) and staal should have went back the other direction behind the gaol with the puck.

On the second goal, I blame every ranger but hank for the goal. 5 guys watching 2 caps jam at the puck and goalie (actually OPG was on his assen after getting trucked by Ovi…why can’t boyle truck people like that going into the offencive zone). Another goal scored by the other team while we have no one that clears the crease!!!!!

Although I honestly thought the refs should have blown the whistle on the tying goal, I thought the officials called a great game and let alot of stuff go!!

FWIW, I thought stuart had a good point about if torts is going to jerk around the 12th forward and basically give him 6 or 7 minutes a game, dress eminger/7 d men. If staal and OPG are going to get 30 minutes a night, they will not last this series, let alone a few more rounds….the d men need their ice time more evenly distributed or we need to add a 7th d man to eat some minutes!!

Either way, calm folks calm..never get too high, never get too low…even keel! A lot of hockey left in this series!!

  4. so when the canucks allow the hawks to hit 4 posts it is good defense but when the rangers do it they are lucky.

bottom line the rangers could have easily won tonight, the first goal was questionable. it was questionable because all season the refs are whistle happy and call that play dead at least 80% of the time.

the caps have more offensive talents os the rangers have to play this way to win, this is the only way they can win. grind, cycle, tight checking……………..

  5. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

The canucks are playing one hell of a physical game…love it!!

  6. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

Take away the caps time and space and we win the series!!

  7. the loss of callahan is huge. most teams can play without a guy with 24 goals but not a team with limited limited offensive ability.

what can zucc do to gather torts trust to get 11 minutes a game??/ the 1 penalty he had was borderline……

BTW wolski is better then christensen not much doubt about that to me. they are similar enigma’s but wolski is better….

i say EC should be gone, his deal is a mill or so, they can trade him.. bye bye to the frolov deal, add the mccabe money they can add some talent….

  8. Hope you guys enjoyed Gilroy’s goal … that’s the last the Rangers score in the series. Even Semin could put up a shutout on these clowns.

  9. Olga Folkyerself on

Black Hawks need to score. Post is not close enough. It’s only the first game. 2-0 loss.

    Let’s Go Black Hawks!

  10. Sather's Wrap-up on

I promised Dolan we’d get to 8th place and I DELIVERED! That’s two more sellouts than last year! Now where is that 5 year extension?

Got your bets down everyone? I got a sure thing going with one Bonehead. I took Rangers over Washington in 5. Greg took Rangers in 2. His tiebreaker is Boogaard for the GWG. I think I got him…

Riiiiiiiing!!!!!!!! (We’re in the money, We’re in the money,….) Oh, That’s Jimmy Dolan’s ringtone, I gotta get this… Hey, Big Guy! How about that! Rangers AND Knicks in the playoffs for the first time for you. And they said you would never do it… Ummm Muckler was the one that said it. I heard him. Yep. Plain as day.
No. Not me! I didn’t even like repeating it… Gotta Go! (click)

Captain Clutch is back on the ice! I know because the Clutchmobile is parked in my reserved spot again. Let’s see him play like one of his pizzas- big, hot and with everything on it. He’s got 8 million reasons to…

Wow. I see that Edmonton is last in the league again. You know, I’ve been gone from there for 10 years, and they STILL haven’t recovered… Oh well, can’t happen twice, can it?

Playoff Overtime. This is how it should be. Next goal wins, no matter how long it takes. Dolan doesn’t have to pay for overtime. These guys are working for FREE! Messier! Why in God’s name did we build a shootout team!!!

OK- Raise your hands- who out there thought the Rangers were going to go 16-0?

    I thought so….

    Forever Yours
    Uncle Glennie

  11. the Caps are a dangerous offensive team and it is impossible to limit these guys to under 3 goals every game.

Until the Rangers find a way to score some goals, this series is going to be very frustrating. The Caps are way too good to lose games 2-1 and 1-0 on a regular basis. Teams like Boston, Montreal, Buffalo can be beaten that way but the teams that go deep into the playoffs all have premier offensive weapons that will eventually find a way to score just like Semin did tonight.

Those are the type of goals that win playoff series. While this tough, grinding system is great for an overachieving bunch like the Rangers, its impossible to play this way against teams like Philly, Washington and Tampa Bay.

  12. Czechthemout!!! on

EC is a gutless buffoon who has been rendered useless with the start of the playoffs.

Gaborik is a fraud! He has never been someone this team can rely on for goals when they are needed. Players like him are never on Stanley Cup winning teams.

Staal and Girardi both had tough game tonight. They turned the puck over many times and failed numerous times to get a shot through to the goal. They are very overrated in my opinion.

LQ was outstanding! Played just like a goalie needs to play in the playoffs.

Sauer and MCD were once again very solid and should improve as the serious moves along.

We need more from Dubi especially without Cally in the lineup.

Overall though as far as I am concerned, the team is playing with house money now. I like most thought they were no better than s 10th place team.

It is only one game so anything can still happen .

  13. Olga Folkyerself on

And yet the Rangers took them to OT and came close to stealing game 1. I say we give them another chance, OK?

  14. Olga Folkyerself on

Greg took the Rangers in 2!!!!!!!!!! Boogard for the GWG! What a maroon! No wonder he’s broke and can’t pay his debts.

  15. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

one question (actually two). Did torts use his timeout?? Does he realize you do not get to stockpile those for the next game?

  16. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

crack of 2300hrs in the mountains!!

  17. Olga Folkyerself on

Wicky- Can you save it for the overtimes? Say in the middle of 3OT when you get a power play?

  18. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

I’ll try and where is who??

  19. Olga Folkyerself on

I’d swear that you were going for the Ovechtrick. I already have two so let me know and I’ll shut up for awhile…

  20. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

was your 1:08 post for me??

  21. wicky(grating PIBG)© (The game’s not over until somebody cries!!) on

night olga and the rest of you assens!!

  22. A few thoughts from the game…

We can hit Ovechin. Stop standing around and letting this guy look like he’s intimidating you. We stood around and watched as he bowled over Stahl into Lundquist on their first goal. You don’t get paid to be spectators.

Is it just me or did Stahl and Prospal get knocked down way too much?

  23. staal is a dumb***, whats more logical, throwing the puck behind the net to girardi or throwing it to the 3 capitals in front of you?

    staal knows the answer.

    Montoya would’ve stopped that.

  24. They are back to their old habits of not getting enough shots on goal, and letting the opponent play most of the game in your end. Good grief Caps rang three shots off the post, in the first couple periods.Predictable.
