Andrew Yogan the Rangers 2010 4th round pick scored 2 goals in his first game with the Whale yesterday.
I think he’s been hurt most the year and had only played 10 games for the Erie Otters of the OHL.

Bottom Line The Rangers played very hard all year and never gave up. 29-0 after having the lead going into the 3rd period speaks for itself. Tampa Bay is now my 2nd favorite team. Lets go Rangers

I woke up grinning, which is a total contrast to Friday morning after the Thrashers debacle.
I was also amused by that oompa loompa Tripp Tracy making excuses about injuries for the Hurricanes roughly 30 seconds after the final horn last night. That team has had virtually no injuries all year and the disparity between Carolina and the Rangers in terms of man-games lost and the same weighted by cap hit is so enormously enormous to be laughable.
I have a better understanding of why Maaaaaarrrrrrttty whiffed on the McDonagh shot – he was somewhat distracted:

A few days ago the ranger ship was sinking and the fans were scrambling.. today its smooth sailing..
Nothing amazes me more than the perceptual swings this team goes thru. They were in contention, went 14-6-1, and still looked a mess going down the stretch. It looked like one day they were world beaters, the next day dogs. Crazy the way a couple games can swing the entire mood of a team and its fan base.
Me included.
Carp (and his boss) must be happy. By my count, over 2,000 comments on yesterday’s blog posts! Page views were probably 10x that.

Cam Fowler sounds like a west-coast MDZ. Scoring 40 points is useless when you go -25 as a defenseman but we’ll see.

I should have gone to the Hurricanes game last night in my Rangers gear. I seriously thought about it and then I got this picture of me getting beat up in the parking lot….
I’m still going to go to my game today wearing Rangers stuff and if the Hurricanes’ employees team doesn’t like it, well too bad.

As you get older and have more experiences, you realize what will be memorable and appreciate it more as it’s happening because you also realize that there are not that many moments that are truly memorable. Yesterday was one of those days and moments and spending last night during the TB-Carolina game was part of making the moment memorable.

Fran – now we know in our hearts that the Playoffs are a bonus for us fans and the development of these players. That said – we root our hearts out for them to win the cup and if they don’t we collapse (emotionally) with broken hearts.
Winners focus on being #1, and staying there, and are not ecstatic over being in the middle of the pack, instead of being in the lower echelon of the pack. Some perspective here, please.

Good morning fellow Boneheads! Wow! Yesterday is one for the Rangers video tapes that will last a lifetime. HA! I think it might be a good thing that we won’t have home ice advantage in the POs. Agreed? Though, the boys seem to be doing better on Garden ice, of late.
Kudos to Carp for all his work on our behalf. What was supposed to be a side line job is becoming a big part of what he does. It will be just like old times having him traveling with the team. I remember those days so well. Loved them. Great great reports and lots of little extra remarks and side stories. Carp is the best at this….trust me.

Cam Ward is overrated. He is one Conn Smythe trophy during his rookie year and nothing else.
That “never lost a game 7” stat is BS. From the AP report on his choke job yesterday:

By my count, he’s lost two game sevens.

Good glorious morning all! I’m still reeling over yesterday. To those who missed the warren picnic, big mistake! It was rocking like New Year’s Eve there.
Contrary to what C3 said about me yesterday (bad boy) he now understands why Linda and I were late to warren. You see, our lucky charm Krisy got us an invite from Zucc’s Dad to join him in the MSG green room after the game. So were busy getting autographs and pictures with….Cally, Sauer, Boyle, AA, Hank, Prust, Zucc, Girardi….hmmm, I think I’m forgetting someone, but whatever.
It was tremendously tremendous :)
As for Tiki: Don’t have any new specific info, but I actually just got off the phone with him! He can’t really talk, but I prattled on to give him the good news about our boys and send all your thoughts and wishes. I’ll update when I get anything new.
