Yes, Chuck, let me enlighten you. First, you practice the shootout every practice for one thing. Then, you don’t pick your highest goal scorer, you pick the guys who are good at shootouts. Kind of like Tampa did. Then, you don’t send out low scoring defensemen who have never scored in the shootout. If you’ve watched Torts’ other shootouts, there is no rhyme or reason to his selections—anyone remember the last game of the season last year? Most of the Rangers looked like they had no move at all, and were totally unprepared.

Maybe that low scoring defenceman has some moves in practice. He did at one time pair with another low scoring defenceman that had a sick shootout move.
