In last year’s tournament, Bourque recorded three assists and a plus-three rating in seven games to help lead Team USA to the Gold Medal. The Boxford, Massachusetts native was originally selected as the Rangers’ third round choice, 80th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Forwards Roman Horak (Czech Republic) and Jesper Fasth (Sweden) are also expected to represent their respective country at the 2011 World Junior Championship.
Horak, 19, has registered 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points, along with 30 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Chilliwack Bruins of the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. He ranks second on the team and is tied for fifth in the WHL with 10 power play goals, and ranks first on Chilliwack in points per game average (1.27) and second in goals, assists, and points. This will be the second appearance for Horak, having represented the Czech Republic in the 2010 World Junior Championship, recording two points (one goal, one assist) in six games. Great interview!
“We need speed”
Speed is what we need. We gotta get greasy fast speed. Chicken-chasing is how we used to train back in the old days. If you can catch this thing, you can catch greased lighting.
I love the love for carp, even though he “doesn’t get to every practice.” our Carp rules!!!!! Thanks guys, on behalf of the Report!
Don’t you all love how they call him the Great Rick Carpiniello?

Should we adjust our names to honor GREAT Carp?
dbmaven

Rod, I’‘ll be out of the field for a while, but I think between your truce, our truce and Carp, you should be OK as long as you behave! (now, keep in mind, I say that to everyone here, but I mean it to everyone, too :) Happy Festivus!

CCBG
Tiki, did you get my email? (I had the wrong subject line on it).
ps, has anybody heard from Fozzy? Hope she’s doing OK.
dde, thank you for the compliment, but don’t put me on ilb’s pedestal. He’s in a different ballpark—I make sarcastic remarks. He actually helps people, saves people. But I do appreciate being in the same sentence.
Merry Prustmas, you Prustbyterians! LMFAO.
was my grandpa dde, the glue that held the family together
I would love to wear a cape!
Fozzy is doing pretty ok Carpy. She’s a strong lady!!
Gonna see if I can grab her in here for the game maybe tomorrow night.
She loves all youse guys for sure.
an ELVIS style cape…. bedazzled and all that!!!
we beat people up, therefore we are Prustbyterians
Linda, did you lose your pop around the holidays? Must have been really tough, and probably still makes the holidays melancholy.
Please, give Fozzy our best.
With regards to our vernacular, should LMFAO be LMBAO?
Orr that was just a knockwurst from the team buffet.
yes Carpy, grandpa 3 days before Christmas in ‘83, nanny new years day ‘90
certain did change the holidays
Linda, I had a favorite uncle who went into a coma on Christmas Eve and never came out of it, though he lived for a few years. I always think of him at this time of year. But you know what? I believe that thinking about him makes me appreciate the holidays more, appreciate being around family more. And, religion aside, that’s what the holidays are about.
Actually, I think I get more sad now when the holidays and the get-togethers are over.
Now I’ll climb down from the pulpit and get back to my usual immaturity.
LMAO @ the refs cracking a couple of Red Bulls to celebrate waiving off Malkin’s goal. Bwaha!
But before I do, I want to thank Eddie and Jim for having me on and indulging our fine blog and those who inhabit it.
Thank you, guys. Hope you Prustbyterians have a wonderful, wonderful holiday season and a great 2011!
Non-Hockey fans must watch this and think…
A) NYR is a damn good team
and
B) Sean Avery is a bully, and a total Steven Segal
great post carpy.
It would be easier if i was closer to family and friends. It does help to think about all the fun we had. He used to send me clippings from the Daily News every April when the Rangers were out of the playoffs… Bill Gallo’s artwork of a Ranger getting into the coffin lol. I still have them somewhere! My pop was a riot!
Yes, Carp! LMBAO!!!! or LMHAO!
thanks ilbGREAT!!!
Here’s my early grievances…Pitt, Philly, Debs, Fishsticks, war, world hunger, a bunch of people I can’t mention here, people who talk on cell phones while driving, food shopping, anything in front of me, litterbugs, non-pooper scoopers, hartnellers, carcillos, kitty stink eye, cold weather.
I’m sure there’s more, cause I’m very aggrieved :)
P.S. Forget who mentioned this, but awesome on the bagel protest!
LGR!
It’s your pulpit carp, keep on keeping on!!!
mama
how about people that drive their iphones??
ORR, people who are not hockey fans look at Aves and respond like me. Not to Segal. no no no no
One thing Aves and Segal have in common is love for prostitution. Bwaha!
ORR, grrrrrrr. not nice
Craps fist bumping. Oh boy!
Hawks WIN! 4-1
One hour til Festivus

I just hope Carp doesn’t throw his back out swingin’ his pelvis
If you haven’t read it already. Steven Stamkos became just the sixth NHLer in history to reach 100 career goals before reaching his 21st birthday. Besides Gretzky, name just one of the four others?
Cheat or give up if you must:
