Forwards Roman Horak (Czech Republic) and Jesper Fasth (Sweden) are also expected to represent their respective country at the 2011 World Junior Championship.

Horak, 19, has registered 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points, along with 30 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Chilliwack Bruins of the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. 11. GANG! HI!!

Seems like I missed a lot around here while I was kicking assen at work for 11 hours.

Speaking of assen… good to see MZA get the call. And like a lot of you, I am not surprised that Gabby’s hurt. Going to be some mighty interesting lines tomorrow night, that is for sure.

  22. Just so youse guys -n- gals know – Mouth calls everybody ‘Great’.

But they (Jim and Eddie) genuinely have deep respect for Carp.

Well done Carp – and all you boneheads too!

  23. Rod, I”ll be out of the field for a while, but I think between your truce, our truce and Carp, you should be OK as long as you behave! (now, keep in mind, I say that to everyone here, but I mean it to everyone, too :) Happy Festivus!

    P.S. I take back Hartnell :)

  26. Tiki, did you get my email? (I had the wrong subject line on it).

ps, has anybody heard from Fozzy? Hope she’s doing OK.

dde, thank you for the compliment, but don’t put me on ilb’s pedestal. He’s in a different ballpark — I make sarcastic remarks. He actually helps people, saves people. But I do appreciate being in the same sentence.

    Merry Prustmas, you Prustbyterians! LMFAO.

we beat people up, therefore we are Prustbyterians

  31. Linda, did you lose your pop around the holidays? Must have been really tough, and probably still makes the holidays melancholy.

    Please, give Fozzy our best.

  32. ddebened bows before the red velvet caped Great Carpini on

Orr that was just a knockwurst from the team buffet.

  33. Linda CalPrustBoylahan aka fan of the Great Rick Carpiniello on

yes Carpy, grandpa 3 days before Christmas in ’83, nanny new years day ’90
    certain did change the holidays

  34. Linda, I had a favorite uncle who went into a coma on Christmas Eve and never came out of it, though he lived for a few years. I always think of him at this time of year. But you know what? I believe that thinking about him makes me appreciate the holidays more, appreciate being around family more. And, religion aside, that’s what the holidays are about.

Actually, I think I get more sad now when the holidays and the get-togethers are over.

Now I’ll climb down from the pulpit and get back to my usual immaturity.

  35. But before I do, I want to thank Eddie and Jim for having me on and indulging our fine blog and those who inhabit it.

Thank you, guys. Hope you Prustbyterians have a wonderful, wonderful holiday season and a great 2011!

  36. Linda CalPrustBoylahan aka fan of the Great Rick Carpiniello on

    great post carpy.

It would be easier if i was closer to family and friends. It does help to think about all the fun we had. He used to send me clippings from the Daily News every April when the Rangers were out of the playoffs… Bill Gallo’s artwork of a Ranger getting into the coffin lol. I still have them somewhere! My pop was a riot!

  37. Yes, Carp! LMBAO!!!! or LMHAO!

    thanks ilbGREAT!!!

Here’s my early grievances…Pitt, Philly, Debs, Fishsticks, war, world hunger, a bunch of people I can’t mention here, people who talk on cell phones while driving, food shopping, anything in front of me, litterbugs, non-pooper scoopers, hartnellers, carcillos, kitty stink eye, cold weather.

    I’m sure there’s more, cause I’m very aggrieved :)

P.S. Forget who mentioned this, but awesome on the bagel protest!
    LGR!
