You probably know that Dale Weise was assigned to Hartford after the game.

aw man, i did not know that carpy!
I let you be first because you were carped
:P
I like Weise. He showed a lot of heart and balls to fight Carcillo, and he did a good job.
What I don’t like is that he played a solid game, but was left on the 4th line. He should have been promoted.
It should have been Maryanne Grabass on the 4th line, or that pathetic excuse for a hockey player, Alexia Froloaf.
Fuggin useless against good teams.
I thought Frolov played pretty well in that game, and his pass to Stepan was excellent. Gabby? Not so much.
thanks ORRsy, you are a true gentleman
I’m too used to hating Froloaf. So, unless he scores twenty hat tricks, steals a Megan Fox sex tape and releases it on the internet, and cures every disease in the world, then I’ll love him.
that was super bush-league on the part of the Rangers
Let’s face it…when you go into the Philly arena and then try to play the whole game WITHOUT TAKING SHOTS AT THE NET,..........you’re gonna get beat. That idiotic endless passing without putting rubber on the goal or goal tender, is maddening to watch. And what gives with all those loooong passes that are always handled nicely by teams like the Flyers ( when your team is making them,)
There was very little to celebrate with the way this game was played regardless of the puckgasms of the play by play crew.
Put this one to bed, and fuggedaboudid.
seems like we’re not the only ones over troutfaces’s ego:
from Raissman’s DN ‘dweeb of the week’
“Al (Wiggie) Trautwig
For saying: “If ever there was a loss that was a win in the end it was this game.” Wig Ditty made the statement on the MSGulag postgame show following the Knicks 118-116 loss to Boston. Once again, Wiggy treats viewers like morons. This offered further proof his priority is about waving pom-poms not objectivity. This may play well when filtered through the eyeballs of his boss, James (Guitar Jimmy) Dolan, but it shows Trautwig ain’t big in the credibility department. Ya think Mike D’Antoni left the court thinking his team actually won? Moral victories are for suckers – and Trautwig.”
Will I get Carp’d soon? Litter box issue solved. At least in my house :)
PUCKGASMS!!!!!!!!!!! Great work Fran, adding to the bonehead lexicon! that’s fantastic!
and yes, those long home run passes to the guys in the opponents jerseys are not helping out
bad on me for not responding to puckasms….! Fran!!!!! Good job! OK all, I gotta take a break and do all the stuff I didn’t today cause of stinking 1 p.m. start….have I ever mentioned how much I adore matinees?
“Marian Gaborik made his 600th career NHL appearance in today’s contest. ”
Unfortunately it was a very brief appearance.
I might be setting myself up again for a carping, but here it goes.
I think avery knew this team was flat and that is why he tried to get carcillo to go right at the beginning. Smart move by carcillo not to oblige.
Possible turning point of the game not taken…eminger has a chance to nail zherdev along the boards (early in the 2nd I think) when the score is still 0 to 0 and doesn’t do it just backs off, should have leveled him.
We did not play physical at all and that really hurt us.
Rozy sucks, been saying it, will continue to say it until he is gone. He needs to go. He may have a decent game here or there, but he sucks. We need a bieksa type in here or to call up vtank. We are still too soft on the back end.
Good on prust for giving it to briere a bit towards the end. Hate briere!!
Is larry brooks reading my posts? Avery should indeed be getting 12 to 14 minutes a game at a minimum!!
Torts is an idiot when it come to avery and the perry pearn. Prust boyle and avery need to see some significant perry pearn time!
The d pairning were horrible, no way would I put mdz and rozy together ever again, NO WAY!!!
Stepan will be playing in the All-Star game next season. He will be at least as good as Jonathan Toews.
Aves is very overrated in Rangers land. A lot of people have these high expectations for him, but you have to accept him for what he truly is, which is a borderline 3rd liner.
He does a lot of good things, and does just as many, if not more, bad things.
More ice time, less ice time, it doesn’t matter.
Weise sent down probably to play for the Whale tomorrow. Be interesting to see if they call anybody up for Thursday.
They’ll probably call him back up for Thursdays game. No sense in letting him sit until Thursday when he can get two games before then.
I’d rather see him over White. That’s for sure.
Agreed. Rather see kids than White. Maybe they call up MZA…
Brodeur leaking like a sieve again.
Actually it’s more like the Devil D that is sieve-like. Well…let’s just say they’re a rather porous team.
>>Brodeur leaking like a sieve again.
I think the league should investigate the Devils. It is my belief that they are tanking the season.
Whoa, Chico is asking to pull Brodeur.
Should be another good Boudreau week on 24/7. 3-0 Boston over Worsington.
wicky, awesome post, and i do agree, yes, even me with all of this. I said it earlier too.
“I think avery knew this team was flat and that is why he tried to get carcillo to go right at the beginning. Smart move by carcillo not to oblige. ”
Avery knew the team was flat 2 minutes into the game? Sorry not buying it, Avery just fell victim to his own antics…
great point about Weise going back to the Whale to play, since we have no game until thursday. Sorry, I’m not feeling well today and NOT on top of my game.
I don’t know if anyone heard it but Larry Brooks was with Dave Maloney on the radio during the 1st intermission. He said that Sean Avery is being used incorrectly by the Rangers. He thinks Avery can be much more effective playing 12-14 minutes rather than 7-10 per game. Torts doesn’t trust him and can’t find the right balance playing him. I happen to agree. He has played well with both Gaby and Stepan.
I would also like to see Sauer play more. And it is for no other reason than he deserves it over other guys. Eminger and Blowzy pale in comparison, IMO.
Gaby needs to wake up. Something is wrong with him.
Don Cherry gave quite a bit of love to Weise in this week’s Coach’s Corner. He said the goal would have counted had the player been Sausage Lips.
The Rangers played a good game. They should have won. Them made mistakes and got jumped on. They couldn’t take advantage of the chances they had so they lost. This team is looking more like a good team everytime I watch them play. There is lots of time to get phillie revenge., and there is no doubt it will come. Keep the faith.
Tyler Kennedy looks like one of the flying monkeys from the wizard of oz
I’d rather have Weise up than MZA. Like I said the other day, his game is better suited for the lines he’ll play on.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that the Devs are not making the playoffs. I just can’t see it happening. They’re not even a team to worry aboot climbing up the standings.
Bwaha! So happy! Can’t wait till game 82 when it’s all said and done. Hopefully we don’t share the same fate as the Devs and Isles. I hope they draft Stefan Jr. and Daigle Jr. respectively.
Weise made deadspin:

AHAHAHAHA!!
When the fugg did that happen?? How could I have missed that?!?
Hilarious!
Artie’s face is priceless. He doesn’t even know what to say. That’s the look of shock and confusion.
Boston’s feed shows highlights of the Bruins, and one of them is Mike Smallberries going into the crowd and hitting fans.
Very classy of them.
I didn’t notice it during the game either, must have caught it on the Philly feed.
Gatorade explosion came after disallowed goal. Tough few minutes. Welcome to the nhl
Yes on the Philly feed.
BOULTON SCORES A HAT TRICK
Bwaha!
Ack! LGR!!!! Mama love to all! and Ta!
lmao poor staalgaard!!! i wonder who loosened that cap on him!!! bet it was avery
that is hilarious about weise and the gatorade!!
oleo
I respectfully disagree. Most athletes will tell you if their counterparts are ready and “amped” up for a game or not. They can tell pre game if some guys have the look or not. My guess is in an 82 game grind of a regular season, there is a natural letdown at times. I’m willing to give aves a bit of credit, he is more of a leader on this team than many want to admit and I do think that is why he did what he did.
pokes blog with a stick, afraid it’s dead for the night
>>pokes blog with a stick, afraid it’s dead for the night
OUCH!! I’m telling Mama on you.
poke. poke.
it’s not dead. only sleeping.

read how they spelled his name beefore they correct it!
I’ve seen it spelled that way before. I think the Flyers spell it that way.
Rangers in 60 is on in a few minutes. I only caught the first period. Should I watch In 60, or Saturday Night Live?
thats hilarious carpy. i thought it was with an i
wikipedia has it spelled both was on his information! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>Saturday Night Live?
That show is still on?
I haven’t watched that show since Megan Fox was on it. It wasn’t funny at all. She saved it though.
gaborik is not playing like a star at all. since when did he want to become a passer?
stepan is going to be a real good player.
MDZ will be a real good player but he has a long way to go if he thinks he is going to be the next Brian Leetch. I do not think he skates good enough to be the next lkeetch.
Weise looked goood to me. adds so much more the boogard or white… why is white on the team? Emminger is nothing, sauer is much better and 3 years younger….
nice penalty on dubinsky, did they penalize him for being the receiver of a trip???Zherdev sucks what a soft poos….
What, everyone went to bed? Holiday Inn’s on. Great movie.
—“Don Cherry gave quite a bit of love to Weise in this week’s Coach’s Corner. He said the goal would have counted had the player been Sausage Lips.”—I have a lot of respect for Don Cherry and generally agree with him all the time (he’s seen it all!)—that says a lot about Weise. I didn’t see the game however but i still don’t know Weise or MZA?
