I can’t help but chuckle at how badly the Devils are handling this Kovalchuk thing. Say he missed a meeting, or was late for a meeting, or whatever, and get it over with. Now it will live until somebody nails down the reason, and it has legs … you know, with the internet and all.
I wonder if Avery might remind Kovalchuk he was prucha’d last night. Or if he might have something to say to Brodeur. Or if he can get under Clarkson’s skin as usual. Ya think?

Agreed Winston. I think getting knocked down a bit the first few games of the season helped focus the team on putting forth the effort it takes to win games, especially without their most lethal weapon.
3 wins due to a lot of effort and diligence with doing a lot of the little things right.

this team is playing tough, responsible hockey. I has been fun to watch. I think they were out gas in the third. They played a couple of very hard games, and now this one. Three in four nights, and still they put in a great effort.

True about being out of gas in the third, and I think it’s a good sign that we were able to pull out a win after two tough games.
It’s always a treat to beat funcle Marty.
First of all, the Rangers were better AS A TEAM and this is probably the first time in a long time we can say it about the game vs. Devils.
Second, Dubi is a true leader of this team at this point and in fact he should have been named the first star. It doesn’t matter much, of course since both Hank and Cally were stellar as well.
