We got a point . We lost to a fast Leaf team . We will have our chance again at ‘em . We move on and keep collecting points. Hank saved us and our team backed him. Too many turnovers and odd man rushes . This season is going to be a ride!! We worry that we ran around alot but this game will help us . Gaborik and Drury being out was a test to our depth and Boyle answered the bell.
Yes in those first two periods the Rangers did look like last year, at least in the attacking zone. There is never ( repeat never) anyone within 25 feet of that net. ergo, no one for the scrummers to pass to.

But make no mistake, I’m not one to constantly find fault with Refereeing, but so far this season they have figured prominently in Ranger losses. Now that last minute interference penalty…Leafs made at least 3 separate identical plays that were simply ignored by the refs.
And don’t overlook the fact that LQ was – on – his – knees – before Kessel took that shot.If he’d been standing and sealing the pipe, chances are very good that that shot would not have gone in. But…he;ll never do it..and that’s what is going to always limit him.. ( And yes, Roszival did play a decent game ( irrespective of his lucky floater).

Boogaard will fight when the Rangers start getting pushed around. So far that hasn’t happened. When the grittier games happen and when things start getting ugly , we wont be the team that gets bullied. I say we made out like bandits taking a point on this one.

Hank keeps this up…I’ll be a believer in him. This game was far his best and I dont care what excuse people say about the defense. hank had to “step up”...and he did . Hanks best game by far.

josh, Gaborik got plastered into the boards from behind by Komaserik and Drury got taken out by Roszival after falling into the boards awkwardly. I think Roszival registered hit first hit of the season on that one.
Roszival to Hartford. Bring him through re-entry as many times as it takes for him to get picked up. At this stage I am willing to pay to see him go. Bring up Valentenko. Someone who, unlike Roszival, isn’t afraid to go after the puck in the corner, who will shoot when he has the puck at the point, and who will actually clear the crease. Even with mistakes Valentenko doesn’t have a yellow streak running down his spine like Roszival.
People think Roszival has a good game when he doesn’t screw up, well that’s not good enough.
Don’t get the post-game… anyone say anything interesting? Torts blow a fuse?

Anyone who thinks avery did not know exactly what he was doing really does not understand hockey at all!!! It isn’t figure skating folks, it is PHYSICAL game. Sometimes you have to go after guys in a not so nice way to get a point across to your team and theirs!!!!

Exactly. It’s dumb to think Booger has that much control over the physicality in a game. Our best player gets a cheap shot thrown at him that puts him out for 3 weeks, and nobody does anything aboot it. Same as last season.

There’s a very good chance that Avery will be suspended. If that happens the Rangers will need to call somebody up. I doubt they’ll call up Kennedy because he’ll definitely be claimed on reentry waivers.

honestly how do you know that orr challenged boogie and boogie declined? I mean it could have been just the opposite. Orr had no reason to fight boogie in the 2nd (they were up 3-1) so boogie wanted to go and orr declined, that makes sense. Orr probably declined in the 3rd as well.
I like the idea of hobbit as a call-up. Brings more skill into the line-up and if you put him wiht say, Avery, I think it would be good.
