  4. Repost:

So in review…Rozsi still sucks. We still need to learn to play a complete game and it’s more than obvious that Stepan needs to play 1st line center.

Aside from that, I’m satisfied with the win. I think the team is improved but still far from being elite. We’ll have to see a few more games to get a clear view but for opening night atleast i’ll wear a big grin!

  5. OK

NOw let’s look at the reality….

Lundqvist is back to his old goaltending from his knees in that infernal and (never learn anything new) style…he’s so wedded to that lousy Butterfly, that I do believe that he sleeps in that position. The final score and the finale of that endless last 10 minutes, should give Ranger fans pause…they enede just about every one of those goals to overcome the atrocious ogal tending.

And WHAT is th eerie fascination that Tortorella has for Roszival? He’s always out there. PP PK same thing…and what is his standard pose? Well how about that being caught standing around the goal mouth poking at loose pucks just prior to a goal getting banged home.
and what does he contribute to the PP? All he does is dish off the puck whenever he can get wood on it, and never is a factor in any attack. But he’s always out there.
They played a very good up tempo game for two periods but got somewhat panicked in the last period.
And would those people who keep advising that Eminger belongs in the outer darkness, please lay off him…he was quite formidable back there thru most of the game.Sort of looks as though Stepan has answered the question of who plays with Gaborik, eh? And even the much maligned Christensen, quietly scored and made some very good defensvive moves in his own end during the game, in additiion to popping a goal (very quietly of course, because he is not flamboyant.) I was in fact quite pleasantly surprised by the way that they showed in general against Buffalo, who in my opinion suffered a case of the nerves in this game, and are actually a much better team than they showed. But I can’t wait to see the next chapter of Lundqvist against the puck in the next game they play. All the guy has to do is learn a few other moves beside the BF, which I don’t think he care to. I still think he’s a bit over rated in general, despite having some marvelous moments.

Fran- Bufallo looked utterly overmatched. They had no answers under pressure in their own zone and had poor open man coverage. Myers was pedestrian. They got desperate in the third and sent three forecheckers in. What I did like is that the Rangers tried to catch them in deep and were successful. Henke will be fine. I wouldn’t worry about him. The team consistency is what we should hope for.

Linda- congrats on successful season opener. In terms of carping. I think you’ll have a good season :-)

lmao ilb, i curtsey and am honored to have received the first carping! We should have a competition! There ya go, Josh needs to keep track of the Carpings and we give out awards at the end of the season!

  11. Fran,

That was the most eloquent buzzkill I have ever read. It started as a soliloquy of negativity, a discourse of disgust. Then out of nowhere, approbation for the neophyte followed by a denunciation of our goaltender’s peculiarity for the butterfly. You’re like the bonehead Shakespeare.

  12. Linzopantenko 2010-2011 on

wow the Isles can’t catch a break. Tavares has a mild concussion and will be evaluated on Monday.

  13. OK who was the first to coin the nickname, “Step-child?”

    Good call.

Sally, pretty good weekend? Birthday, game in your hometown, a win, big game for the Picker, and the kiss?
