NEW YORK RANGERS GOALTENDER HENRIK LUNDQVIST HONORED IN GRAY LINE NEW YORK’S “RIDE OF FAME” CAMPAIGN
On Tuesday August 31st, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist will join the ranks of Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Trump and Rachael Ray as the latest celebrity inducted into Gray Line New York’s “Ride of Fame” campaign which honors exemplary New Yorkers by bestowing a bus in their fleet. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil Lundqvist’s personalized Gray Line New York bus will take place on 7th Avenue in front of Madison Square Garden at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following the ceremony, Henrik will board his very own bus to take the inaugural ride with 50 lucky fans.
“I’d like to thank Gray Line New York for their support of the Rangers and particularly their continued support of the Garden of Dreams Foundation,” says Lundqvist. “The kids always look forward to the tours of the city, sitting on the upper deck. Being able to now do them on a bus featuring myself and the Rangers is a great honor.”
After the event, the official Henrik Lundqvist bus will enter into Gray Line New York’s regular rotation, becoming a mobile monument, granting millions of sightseers the opportunity to “ride” along with him each day.

How many times can you go to the well with other teams throw aways…? Fankist,EC,huggybear.. yeah there is a percentage that will work out, but at what cost. How long does it take to figure out if its working. How long of a look do they get?
I think its great that we get another teams sophmore with NHL playoff experience at a bargain price. I have a good feeling about him… Of course that could be the Indian food I ate for lunch. Building the youth core. At some point though you have to realize that you have far to many depth players, far to many project players, far to many underachievers, far to many lacking NHL caliber talent. I like the future of the franchise, but frankly, the present has me concerned. Is anyone in the front office sober enough to S.ave O.ur S.hip

This Kennedy thing is weird – we now have even more C/LW players (Prospal/Dubi/Avery/Kennedy/Drury/White) and with EC, AA & Boyle we have 3 Centers, Boogy & Frolov at LW. So thats 11 players for 8 spots all on 1-way contracts i think, are we looking at a trade coming up? Are Avery & Boyle in danger of a year in Hartford?
The Right side seems fairly predictable with Gabby, Cally, MZA, Prust – the only person we’re not sure about is MZA and the possibility of one Weise or Byers making the team.
More puzzling moves from Darth Sather – is he going to pull a rabbit from the hat and trade for what we really need (a nasty, crease-clearing, goalie protecting D-man)?

we dont have Staal…not yet. Staal is pulling Dubinsky…last year Dubi got ripped a new one for not getting signed all summer…training camp is in 20 days and Staal isnt under a contract and nobody seem to care.
I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Sather dumps Avery. I don’t like the idea of stockpiling other teams’ junk. Now, Kennedy could step up in his second year and be a decent player, but if the team needed anything it is a first line center, which Kennedy isn’t. Since he gets a one-way contract the signing doesn’t make any sense unless they are looking to dump somebody.
I expected this from Staal. He just wants to use his brothers to get a “push up the pyramid”.
I don’t care anymore. It’s hard to take this team serious these days.
Darth is trying something new- it’s called Frankenteam. A little bit of this type of player, a pinch of that type. Throw them together and hope he comes out with Voltron.

Kennedy rejected an 800k 2 way deal from Buffalo which could have end up much lower if he was sent down, and ends up with a guaranteed 883,333 between the Sabres buyout and the Rangers 1 way deal.
Plus, its kind of like giving the finger to his hometown team who cut him loose. I know the Leafs would have been even more so, but who wants to go there?
Its not a bad pick up except the Rangers already have a dozen left wingers who can score 10 goals.

I like that Kennedy had 3 pts (1G, 2A) and was a +3 in 6 games as a rookie in his first playoffs
plus his 26 points in 78 games is pretty comparable to AA’s 28 points in 82 games – could be a nice addition to the young core management keeps talking about

Could it be that the hockey advent is finally coming upon us? They are making their frustrations known to all who have a hand in what becomes their team in a few short weeks. Beware the wild eyed and bushy tailed Ranger fan…especially those who show little mercy to those who are in a position of authority.
