NHL.com is really making itself useful with wall-to-wall draft preview stuff, including several mock drafts.
The Rangers will host a first-round draft party. Here’s the press release from the NYR:

New York Rangers have the 10th overall selection
New York, June 16, 2010 – On June 25th the New York Rangers invite fans to come celebrate the 2010 NHL Entry Draft at the ultimate Blueshirts viewing party at The Hill in New York City. The event will feature a handful of special guests, including the Rangers top three draft picks from last year’s draft – Chris Kreider, Ethan Werek and Ryan Bourque – as well as Rangers alumnus, Nick Fotiu. Fans can win prizes and giveaways, while watching extensive coverage of the NHL Draft. Draft coverage will begin at 7:00 p.m., and admission is free. The event will be hosted by MSG Network’s Scott Lasky.

it was me who posted yesterday that we coudld get z michalak and corvo for the price of volchenkov. i think we could get both for 5.5 mil prob what volchenkov will get which is high for him but that will be the market.

I find it odd that none of the numerous screw-ball moves made by Ranger brass are not even noted on Dolan’s wikipedia. Yet, all of the Knicks disastrous management decisions are well documented.

I say mama’s secret is kasper because of the way he treated messier before becoming a ranger. I was at the game where kasper got mess with a wicked cross check and messier turned around and knocked a tooth out of kaspers mouth.

I know I said it the other day but snyrangersblog mentioned yesterday that we only have 5 picks in this draft and we should really trade down to grab another pick.
These drafts are a crap shoot and the more picks you have the better off you’ll be in the long run.
Boston would be the best trade partner since they are the only team with 2 – 1st round picks and 2 – 2nd round picks.
Maybe we trade #10 for #15 and #32 or #15 and #45
Carolina has the most picks with 11 and NYI and EDM have 10 picks a piece
