Some more draft talk

47 is really making itself useful with wall-to-wall draft preview stuff, including several mock drafts.

Before I forget, also has a video put together by CBC in Canada, to the tune of one of my all-time fave songs, Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight” highlighting the entire Stanley Cup tournament. Awesome stuff. Plenty of shots of Big Buff, too. Gotta love that.

As for those internet reports (rumors, actually, and bad ones) yesterday that Ryan McDonough has signed … he HAS NOT signed. That’s not to say he won’t. But he sure hasn’t.

it was me who posted yesterday that we coudld get z michalak and corvo for the price of volchenkov. i think we could get both for 5.5 mil prob what volchenkov will get which is high for him but that will be the market.

    weak class this year

  2. Mr. Titleist is out of town. I’m going to have a visit with him down here in NC.

Have they had one of these draft parties before? Anybody gone to one? What are they like?

The Hurricanes are having one and I was thinking of going just for the heck of it.

  3. I find it odd that none of the numerous screw-ball moves made by Ranger brass are not even noted on Dolan’s wikipedia. Yet, all of the Knicks disastrous management decisions are well documented.

I personally wish to see each and every screw-up by Sather/Dolan in plain sight for all the world to see.

thanks for my second carping in 2 days btw.

thanks for bringing that back up (without a hint I might add).

I just figured out what slatipuss is going to do. He is going to try and get st louis from the ning and then go back to the mtl well and get gionta. He is going to try to assemble the softest d crops and smallest forward line up available then wonder why wtih a great goalie this team can’t succeed.

speaking of maclean, guess the devs are announcing him as their new head coach today!

ummm ok, the book of eli sucked, so don’t waste your time or money. On the opposite end of the movie spectrum I highly recommend brothers at war. Fantastic and a much watch for everyone!

  7. wicky (draft Dylan McIlrath in the first round!!) on

how does that make you feel jules?

    hostile and uncooperative!!!

  8. wicky (draft Dylan McIlrath in the first round!!) on

if a tree falls in the forest….oh never mind!!!

  9. I say mama’s secret is kasper because of the way he treated messier before becoming a ranger. I was at the game where kasper got mess with a wicked cross check and messier turned around and knocked a tooth out of kaspers mouth.

  10. wicky (draft Dylan McIlrath in the first round!!) on

going on a food and beverage run prior to france game!!!!

  11. I know I said it the other day but snyrangersblog mentioned yesterday that we only have 5 picks in this draft and we should really trade down to grab another pick.

These drafts are a crap shoot and the more picks you have the better off you’ll be in the long run.

Boston would be the best trade partner since they are the only team with 2 – 1st round picks and 2 – 2nd round picks.

    Maybe we trade #10 for #15 and #32 or #15 and #45

Carolina has the most picks with 11 and NYI and EDM have 10 picks a piece

  12. Also because of his nationality mama thinks ilb and cccp would be upset for her not liking kasper

  13. hello all!
ive been here just havent commented. got a lot of stuff goin on over here.

i got some fresh stuff from overseas. nasty saw a pic. might be on FB, not sure.

also read the blog yesterday. great post carp. happy to hear that some of the rangers scouts have been doin their homework. wouldnt mind trading down if it meant we got a high 2nd round pick.

  14. WOW
halak to blues for 2 prospects. now jd will have to get the rfa signed. halak will be there frnachise goalie at 25 yrs old.

the keys to the car to carey price.

i suggest checking out habs blogs cause they will be up in arms over this i believe

  15. It definitely should have been Price, but I don’t think they would have been able to keep Halak, because he’s just too damn ELEAT!

Good for JD. Hopefully he can get him under contract, and the Blues can have a bounce back year. Oshiiiiiii!!

By the way, Aves looks like a total midget in that pic. I wonder if that girl is wearing heels. I hope she is.

  16. poor wicky, he’s keeping this post going all by his lonesome!

sean, thanks for capping off my carpy day….

    hey TR, miss ya!
