That among the players added to its World Championship tournament roster, from teams just eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs is:
“Chris Kreider (Boxford, Mass./Boston College), who helped the U.S. to the gold medal at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship, will make his first U.S. Men’s National Team appearance.”

Looks to me like Bonehead True Fans Bleed RW&B, who picked seven of eight first-round series correctly, is the winner of “the inaugural Olli Jokinen Five-Hole/Beat the Blogfather Extravaganza and Picnic” and the book “100 Ranger Greats” unless somebody else comes up with another 7 for 8. I did a quick check yesterday, at which point True Fans was the only one with seven wins, so unless somebody had six and Montreal last night, True Fans is the champ.
So last call for any others, though I don’t think there are any others.

I’m picking Vancouver for the cup. I know its probably going to end up being Pitt v Det again but I’m hoping against hope we see the Habs and Nucks, Canada deserves a full hockey year. A cup and a gold medal same year? Pshh, America doesnt deserve a cup this season, I’m sorry.

Stanley Cup finals…Pittsburgh wins game 7 in overtime.
Most exciting and sympathetic team this year for me is Chicago.(My “wannabe” Rangers dream in work and progress).The smartest, well oiled machine, gaining revs.- Detroit.This two pleasure to watch for any hockey Gourmet. Hate to see Pens in Final(unfortunately they will be), almost equally dislike Habs, however have to give them what is due – “The dwarfs team” surprised anyone. Can’t care less about Boston and/or Vancouver.

Pens over Montreal in 4? Pittsburgh didnt even look that good in round 1, and they are facing a much better goalie this round, although their skaters are probably a bit weaker than ottawa’s roster. I dont see them sweeping though, especially with how tough it is to win in montreal.
Also, the whole eastern conference is so bad, as you always say, the leastern conference. Someone from the west is taking it this year, even if cindy and the pens have a ridiculously easy route to the finals

I was in Buffalo yesterday for a presenting my product to a retail buyer of a grocery chain. After going through the business BS, we got to talking about hockey, and I learned that he was a die-hard Sabres fan. We both agreed that their problem wasn’t talent, rather leadership and grit. After talking, the subject of our beloved Captain came up and it seems that Buffalo fans would LOVE to have Dru back playing for them. I was SHOCKED. I told him, that among some diehards in NY, that he’s been an absolute bum and his contract (and no movement clause) make him dead weight, but he said that Drury was exactly what that team needed.
No chance in HE** that a trade involving Dru EVER happens, but we can dream right??
Oh please please please let Drury long for his days in the Angry Bison/Buffaslug jersey.
