And we’ve seen over the years … and heard from guys with Stanley Cup rings all over their hands … how important it can be to end an early-round series when you get the chance.
First of all, obviously, you don’t want to give the opponent any life at all. Second, later on these extra games you create, the additional travel, and the extra days off you lose, can come back to haunt you. And usually do.
You need 16 victories to win it all. The maximum number of games is 28. You want to use as few of the latter as possible to get to the former.
That’s it from me today. Got an all-day assignment, mostly away from the laptop.
Today’s sked: Nasvhille-Chicago Game 5; Pittsburgh-Ottawa Game 6 and San Jose-Colorado Game 6.
See youse.

How many ex-Rangers are playing in these playoffs?
Bronze
Carp did you hear Melrose the other day talking about the Caps/Philly matchup? He was saying how Washington has great goaltending.
Lets go Sharks
UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They actually gave us a penalty kick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FAIRNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And now we bring Carrick on??????????????
All tied up! I could see that goal coming from a mile away.
I’ll never understand why teams refuse to guard the posts on corner kicks nowadays. That ball would have never gone in had the defender stayed at the back post.
You have to feel sorry for Elias. I never have seen him look so bad on the ice than he did in this series. He flipped and flopped around, gave the puck away countless times, made errant passes directly to the opponent, skated like he was trudging thru mud,...seemed totally lost. Swan song?
Secret injury?
Wow, such a great goal by Nani!
Fran, I had never seen the Devils look so bad; I enjoyed it immensely though. I don’t feel sorry for ANY of the players.
The EPL has some of the worst defenders I’ve seen in football. “Pace” is all they rely on, but not thinking the game at all.
Actually Carp, I think you’re wrong on this one, which is definitely a first (at least on this blog). Since the lockout, the four teams that won the Stanley Cup all played more games in getting there than their opponents did – one of the knuckleheads at ESPN was just pointing this out the other day. So while clearly it is important to close a team out when you can to ensure that you move on and don’t give them any life, the theory that less games is better and rest is good has actually not proven to be true at all.
FAIRNESS FROM A REFEREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHO KNEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITS ABOUT EFFING TIME BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU ANDRE MARRINER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darren Dreger:
Speculation should end. Glen Sather will remain Pres+GM for the New York Rangers.
——————
where did you hear that? link?
http://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/12740361221
thanks tr… i wonder who told him that? lol
well i guess we (Rangers fans) are being laughed at as usual… life goes on.
Oh, I see you heard the bad news (from Dreger).
Unbelievable. The man just will not go away.
Was sounding like Riseborough would be incoming for a minute there.
Oh, Carp, why shouldn’t the Rangers want Kovalchuk again?
It’s always a safe argument for Ranger fans to say “rebuild”. But their offense is beyond pathetic and there is no high-end offensive talent in the system, nor are they likely to draft one from the #10 position.
What, Ilya Kovalchuk is some kind of Fat Cat?
We have to pin our hopes on the Norwegian Hobbit?
Just curious….
Good morning, Carp!
Sather’s position in the Rangers organisation is akin to that of the Pope or a Supreme Court Judge. It’s FOR LIFE!
That is why anyone who tells me I should not wish Sather to DIE shoudl just shut up
Die Sather Die. oh I forgot, you lik screwing up the rangers year after year after year way too much to just go away.
you’ll end up living til 100
JBytes,
Yeah, and nearly as criminal.
Time to build a RICO case against Sather.
Rangers fans are suckers… boohoo i won’t give up my tickets but I’m not gonna stop crying how bad Sather is either… do something Rangers fan or shut up!
How can you wish someone dead…to help a team?
Avs need to win this game tonight. They need Hey-Dook and Ferris Mueller, badly.
GO AVS!!!
I’m a big fan of Pavelski, and Ortmeyer, but I’d rather see the Avs go to the Semi’s.
how can you hate so many people from one city…to satisfy conspiracy created in your own head? :)
Dolan amazes me. I mean, he is a successful, wealthy man, right? Yet he is so stupid as to allow this stumblebum GM imposter to con him out of major salary, year after year.
Look, Sather is beyond retirement age and has done a dreadful job, literally wrecking the composition and talent-base of this team with all the disgusting, vulgar, insane, unwarranted FA contracts he has prostituted-out, in lieu of building a contending team comprised of a solid blend of youth and size and toughness, primarily from within the Rangers system.
Seems to me that Dolan would become weary of being taken to the cleaners by this bloated GM with the arrogant, haughty, disdainful personality. But, no, like a fossilized 90-year old Supreme Court Justice, this incompetent GM just will not go away, just refuses to accept responsibility for the team’s scattered and disjointed personnel make-up and thin talent-base, and for it’s failure to make the first round cut of 16 teams in a 30-team league.
What does it take to motivate this owner to move on, on behalf of those of us who support this rapidly disintegrating franchise, and on his own behalf, assuming that becoming the laughingstock of the NHL is not to his liking, although whether he even cares is an overriding question?
The worst thing that ever happened to professional sports was for civilian courts to rule in favor of the introduction of Free Agency and arbitrated salaries, and with it, the entry of a glut of venomous player-agents, poisoning their clients’ attitude and bilking owners and, in turn, the public, with their constant threats of millionaire-athletes going on strike, every time a CBA comes up for renewal.
Too many organizations, like the Rangers, have capitulated to these burdensome financial and political pressures and taken the easy way out by just signing mercenary, mostly mediocre players to grotesque contracts, in lieu of rolling up their sleeves and building a team the old-fashioned way, via hard work and dedication to value investing. And why should they bother, when your own team will be losing as well as gaining the revolving-door player pool talent, the same free agency way? You just hope more talent comes in the door than goes out, in any given year.
Sather was born to exploit this crass, profits-driven system. Without it, he would have been exposed as a fraud and gone, years ago.
I really don’t understand all this negativity from the nyr beat writers and bloggers re signing kovy. first off, it doesn’t happen at all without waiving redden or buying him out. as is painfully obvious to anyone who has followed this team for any length of time, cablevision can spend money on garbage and have done so more times than any of us care to remember. so why not spend a little more and buy him out? well, i think some of his buyout remains on the cap, so that won’t do it. hartford? they have to pay his whole salary but everything comes off the cap. no-brainer. just that alone is addition by subtraction. and as “rod” above says, is he some kind of old, fat cat? i think not. he is as offensively gifted as any player in the nhl. how do you not want that on a team that is often predictably offensively challenged? another no-brainer for me. it takes the burden off gaby to be the man game in and out and spreads offense on two lines that can’t be defended by the opponent’s best Dmen. and HAS to help the PP.
we have to make that deal in order to get back in the game. the draft won’t help, neither will anyone from the pack, and we’re a few years off from the recent draftees coming in to help. dolan can’t be happy about losing playoff revenue. they have a board to answer to now that they’re public. get it done people. i want everyone including his buddy sean on his doorstep july 1 ready to carry his butt to nyc.
I don’t really care aboot this team as long as Slats is running the show.
They need to clean this team up, and get rid of all these losers that don’t care aboot winning, and only care aboot money, like Dredden, Dreary, Blowzy, Gaborik, Pig-Man, etc. And I’m still in favor of dumping Dublowsky.
Pig-Man – hahahahahaha
what does it take to get the fact that he does NOTHING to make a team better. the devils were a .500 team with him, way below what they were without him
and the Thrashers were the SAME without him. iow, if he can’t lift a mediocre team like Atl, then he can’t lift a mediocre team like the Rangers either. and he certainly did not lift a better team in NJ. no, he brought them nothing. another first round exit.
how many times do supposed NYR fans need to be burned by a bigshot UFA greed signing to get it through their heads once and for all that you don’t build a team that way. you have to build through the draft and a couple smart trades to fill holes
after Drury, gomez, Redden, not to mention the past of Holik, etc what does it take to understand that basic fact??
talk about playing right into the hands of Dolan and Sather. they love fans who perpetuate that big name signing crap.
I think the Thrashers actually played better without him. They were motivated after he left, and probably took it personally.
But, I still think he’s signing a long term deal with them this summer.
it is about team defense, not goal scoring. the Rangers scored 222 goals, the exact same number as the Devils, who had 10 more wins. teams like Boston and Mtl made the playoffs over the Rangers, yet they scored fewer goals
the lauded Det RW only scored 229 goals, just 7 more than the Rangers. and the Phoenix Coyotes had 12 more wins than the Rangers, yet only scored 3 more goals, 225.
so, it is more about keeping the puck out of the net, and winning close games. that takes gritty, team-oriented players. not selfish individuals doing their own thing.
nbc is a disgrace. interrupting the hockey coverage for a IOC bureaucrat
carp…on previous post….i totally agree that plus-minus is a misleading stat…..remember jan erixon…he got maybe 20 or so points a year, average plus-minus stat, but undoubtedly a great defensive forward….by the same token,i remember a dave maloney quote about pierre larouche being a horrendous defensive player..”if he scores 48 goals you don’t have to worry about his defense”...keep up the good work,eh….

If Kovy comes to the Rangers we can kiss Avery goodbye. They hate eachother. I think every Ranger fan on the planet can agree that Redden needs to GO, only thing I personally care about. We can get two decent guys on O for Redden’s salary and pick up a Soury or Volchenkov to replace him.
Just a hypothetical I was thinking of… Say we drop Drury last off season and keep Gomez instead – a few very telling scenerios arise… 1- Do we make the playoffs? 2- Do the Habs make the playoffs? 3- Does Gomez go to the Olympics instead of Drury?
Only reason for #3 is, I’ve been watching Gomez all playoffs long and hes really looked decent. Just thinking about how Gomez and Gabby would work together and I dunno… just a hypothetical, whatcha’ll think?

Having finally scarfed down the last of the pierogies, Brodeur felt, as the team’s emotional leader for so many years, that he had to come up with some closing words to close the book on the season with the poignancy it deserved.
He grappled with what to say for several seconds, but finally, it came to him.
“Anybody up for stopping off at KFC for a couple Double Downs?”
CCCP
Thanks for that. Last time I checked, hating or disliking people is different than wishing them dead.
I wish nobody dead.
And I dont dislike them to satisfy a conspiracy self-created, I dislike them due to factual evidence.
__
If anybody is a CONSPIRACY THEORIST, Mr. Carpiniello is one. He believes that the Yankees and Blue Devils have received the benefit of the referees throughout time.
Which is also different from wishing officials would have their legs broken, of course…
the Rangers could be a better team next year if they simply get a decent backup goalie who can play 25 games, give Henrik the rest and ice competition he needs to avoid the ups and downs of a too long season
also, they must dump Redden to hartford and replace him with a real dman
and replace pigface Jokinen with a center like Plekanec
plus a couple kids move up
Excellent argument, “winning NHL style”.
Mistascum, if I have to choose between Kovalchuk and Avery, it’s a no-brainer. Avery didn’t bring much to the team this year, and with his busted knees, I doubt he’ll be any better from here on.
3-1 Hawks!!
I have seen the top of the mountain. And it is good.
3-2 Hawks. Shorthanded goal, horrible timing.
LW3H
Yes. It is different.
I dont wish any of them dead.
I wish them to be physically incapable of doing their job, so the leagues will find another, more reliable way, to do the job!
AND…
How does a person compare disliking someone, or wishing/being happy (which I am not admitting to) about injuries to wishing death.
Death is death. It’s final. There is no comparison.
4-3, Nashville! The Blackhawks are about to be put on the endangered species list.
Funniest part is, I was only joking with whomever made the original comment.
I am not going to judge people for wishing death on anyone.
I will judge someone (especially a fan of any NY team) for either rooting for or not minding a Boston team :)
KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE!!!
USA!USA!USA!USA!USA!USA!USA
Hawks live with thirteens seconds left, while on a five minute major penalty kill. 4-4!
bald headed idiot Pee-air.
HAWKS WINNNN!!!
Hawks pulled it off after killing the major penalty. Chicago takes a 3-2 lead in the series.
I am now on board for routing for the blackhawks. Hossa takes a 5 minute major at the end of the game and the blackhawks score a shorthanded goal with less than a minute to play and than guess who wins the game in over time, hossa, unreal.
Gabby wouldn’t have scored that goal in OT. He would have been looking at the bright lights all night long.
Hoooossssssaaaa!!!
Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After watching the Rangers down the stretch, they are a few pieces away form being a playoff team.
First is to re-sign Shelley, who undoubtedly was playing for a UFA contract, and is by no means worth over $2 million per, but $1.5 for three years, that will make him 36 when his contract is up. He is invaluable. He filled in nicely for what we all knew Brashears would not be able to provide.
Girardi, Staal and Prust are RFA I would re-sign each of them. And both Staal and Girardi could go to arbitration, but coming off their season might not get what they are looking for. I am worried though that these two will never get tough enough for us back there. Something that needs to be addressed. And it won’t with Bobby Sanguetti.
Prospal, Jokkinen, Lisin, Parentaue, Christensen are not high on the list. Christensen I would sign for the same salary he had or at least a small raise to $1 million. But Jokkinen and Vinny I would not re-sign, Lisin either.
We need a big body on defense. I would even look at Andy Sutton for two years if we can rid ourselves of Redden. He might be slow, but at least he can clear the front of the net.
Dale Weiss, Anisimov, Callahan, Dubinksy, Stepan, Drury, Avery, Shelley, Prust, Gabby, Christensen might be a better roster than this season. Grachev had a poor season.
And apparently this kid Mats Zuccarelo Ansen is something special and he is being signed by the Rangers.
I just don’t see this attitude whereby the bank is opened to a single player just because he can score 40-50 goals during the season.
Think about it…not only does it place so much pressure on him, but it necessitates the club relying almost exclusively on his services to the point where if he gets injured and is out for any extended period of time, there’s no replacement.
I’d much rather scour the system for 3-4 guys who can score between 15-20 goals, and each would be had at a far more reasonable fee than the great stars. I know that if I was a GM this would be the path that I’d take with much input from my gtrusted scouts. ( I’d save my big bucks for a top notch goal tender, and a pair of stalwart defense men.

these guys on versus are not consistent. they want to suspend Hossa, but they want to let Chara off. big difference between a fight and a push. there should not be a suspension of Hossa if chara gets off, which he did. the league rescinded his suspension.
Sutton hits people hard. I would absolutely take him to replace Redden. neither is good with the puck, but Sutton really punishes people and will fight.
What happened with Chara?
He got suspended, then had it rescinded?
When?
SENS 1-0!!!
Senators with the first vote. Breakaway, Cullen. 1-nil.
Chara got into a fisticuff at the end of their last game. As per league rule, he would have been suspended if it were deemed that the fight was for “message sending” purposes.
Chara was suspended for the fight he initiated at the end of the last game, but the league rescinded it today to let him play game 6. as far as I,m concerned, that then allows all teams to say, “hey, you changed his suspension, erase mine too”
bad stuff to let some guys off due to rep, and others not.
In other words, the league loves Boston too much, and hates all of NY :)
I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!!!
They just allowed him to get away with it!!!!
Thats exactly what it means, that every fight at the end of the game, nobody can be suspended for the rest of this playoffs. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!! More Evidence!
I have a guarantee to make for all of you BONEHEADS, that will prove my opinion/theory, depending on if the Capitals and Pens advance. When those 2 things happen, I will make my guarantee, and you will be STUNNED when it happens. BELIEVE ME!
>>bad stuff to let some guys off due to rep, and others not.
I think it’s more like the league admitting how stupid its “no fighting with less than five minutes left” rule is. They made the right decision on the one.
On an other note, Ovechkin fans should cry foul if Hossa doesn’t get suspended for today’s hit.
[on this one]
JBytes
While I agree that it’s ‘stupid’ to suspend people for such reasons, if it happens again in this postseason, the NHL wont not suspend the player.
JB
He shouldn’t get suspended because he’s pretty much a first time offender.
OV had aboot three of those hits in this season alone, so he deserved it.
NO GOOOOAL!!
Ovechkin got a game misconduct, hossa did not. also, and more important, Ovechkin was a repeat offender. that is why he got suspended 2 games
Whatever. Im not going to make a big deal of it.
First time offender? Not sure that that is supposed to matter with the “message sending” fight, but whatevs!
Just wait until the next round, and I make my guarantee, and it happens!!!
CR – amazingly, this isn’t the FIRST time a player has been let off the supposed automatic suspension for instigating in the last five MINUTES of a game. Some of the other beneficiaries apparently even had NO connection to BOSTON! Such as Malkin in the CUP final last year. AMAZING!!!
CR
I was talking boot OvechCANT!
LW3H
While I can see the hypocrisy, you CANT suspend a player in the STANLEY CUP FINALS for that very same offense. CANT. NO WAY. NO CHANCE.
Was Chara’s fight in the final moments of the game? Or was it final 5 minutes?
Because I can see a guy, even CHARA, getting away with it ‘under 5 minutes’, but not in the final moments of the game.
When I said “I can see the hypocrisy”, I meant of my following statement.
it was in the final seconds of the game
if it was in the final seconds of the game…..
That’s a DEFINITE suspension.
Only possible way it’s not a suspension, is in the Stanley Cup finals.
Oh well, no big deal. I dont think the NHL can help the Bruins enough to hand them the 2010 Stanley Cup.
As always, CR, I can see lots of hypocrisy too…
That call has been reversed on review in regular season games too. And the rule refers specifically to the last five minutes, as far as I know.
LW3H
I wasnt calling anything you said ‘hypocrisy’!
Like I said, whatever. I didnt see it, so I cant make an accurate assessment of whether or not he should be suspended.
But since I didnt see it, I will just assume it was the NHL helping the Bruins.
And I’ll remember this next season when one of our guys gets suspended for the same offense.
Dare I make this bold prediction….
I’ll remember this next season when one of our guys gets suspended for the same offense, in the STANLEY CUP FINALS BABY!!!!!
2-0 Sens. Awesome day of hockey!!
GO AVSSS!!!
I know.
Im getting real nervous.
I DONT want to see a Game 7
And now it’s 3-0 :((
I want to see a game 7, and i want to see the Sens in the second round!!
Then i want them to get destroyed, cause i don’t want to see Canada happy :)
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!
4-1!
Fourth goal is under review. Ottawa is sending a very strong message to the defending champs.
Fugg, no goal!
No goal for Ottawa. Still 3-1. These momentum killing video replays are getting ridiculous now.
I dont understand.
The goddamn Bruins can come back in 2 games losing after 2 periods, against a team undefeated on the year in that stat.
COME ON PENS!!!!!!! SHOW SOME FIRE!!!! SIDNEY!!!!!!
Did anyone really think the suits in Toronto would allow Cindy to go down by 3 goals!?!? hahahahaha
To anyone who’s watching this Ott/Pitt game; Volvhenkov is an absolute stud. If the Rangers can find a reasonable financial way to bring him aboard and either trade (Girardi/Rozi) or demote (Redden) one of their Dman plus promote another youngster (Sangs/Kundratek/Valatenko even?), make it so.

That is why anyone who tells me I should not wish Sather to DIE shoudl just shut up
Die Sather Die. oh I forgot, you lik screwing up the rangers year after year after year way too much to just go away.
you’ll end up living til 100
dude i like your posts., ur a swell guy, but really mikey, when u start wishing death to people who couldnt care les if u even existed its time to maybe find a new hobby. im as fanatical a ranger fan as anybody, but lifes too short to go insane over this guy. all im saying is relax. its a kids game that people sometimes take too seriously. you hate him so much, and he doesnt improve the team at all? then dont buy tickets. but to wish teh guy dead makes you just as big a jackass as the guy who loved when marc savard got a serious concussion
and mikey, im not pickin a fight with you, because i wish teh guy would retire and get out of ny just as much as you or any other ranger fan. i just dont want you going crazy over this guy. its not worth it. its up to dolan to fire the guy or move him. if he doesnt, and the team stagnates likes usual, soon enough fans will stop buying tickets, and he’ll be forced to do something. every year he stays here he just ruins his legacy or whatevers left of it. dont get all worked up over this guy. he’ll be gone soon enough. you think he wants to do this forever? oh crap i hope not! lol
cr9- i liek ya bro. i didnt know that was you who was cheering savards concussion. my bad
I don’t know why I’m giving you one more chance, CR. But this is the final, final, final warning. Use that word again and you are out.
Why did my comment get deleted???
Oops, Carp.
I was just wondering why it got deleted, looked back on my browser, and apparently I used the word again.
SORRY. It comes so naturally. It’s a bad habit.
grabby
you had to get that in there!?
First, wishing death is SO MUCH worse.
Second, I was only happy with the concussion after the dirtbag Savard came out with a press conference to say nasty things.
__
By the way, Mr. Carpiniello, how is dirtbag less bad than the other word? LOL
it won’t be a bad habit much longer, I promise you. not here, anyway.
LOL
I swear I had no idea I even typed it. Half the stuff I type, I have to go back and look at, because I do like 5 things at once.
Why are you angry at me again? I have toned down my behavior A LOT recently.
I’m not angry, bro. but those are the new rules.
SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PENS RIGHT BACK IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of deleted post, why doesn’t this site let me use Byfuglien’s nick name?
3-2! Fasten your seatbelts!
Fine. Rules are rules. But I expect to see everyone having to adhere to the same rules.
Not like Zdeno Chara.
Byfuglien’s nickname??
>>...I do like 5 things at once.
Slow down, kiddo! What’s the hurry?
cr9- do what i do. since i have a 4 year old daughter around i do not curse anymore or use words like that. in fact, its funnier to use carcillo or some other word. i dont want ya gone, but ya gotta keep it casual hre for the ladies and the kids who might come here
CR, if I was angry, you’d be gone. so let it rest. the rules are for everyone. you’ve gotten more warnings than anybody since the new words were added to the not-cool list.
EdZo calls him B.i.g B.u.f.f. This site always deletes it when I write it.
mike
that’s a great idea. but the word I use in place of dirtbag, isnt really even bad. I wouldnt have a problem using that in front of a kid.
Believe me when I say, I have a lot worse language I’d love to use to describe the likes of Chara or Savard or Don Orsillo or Jerry Remy.
I guess instead of using that word, I’ll say Savardbag from now on ;)
Mr. Carpiniello
I understand. It’s done. Adios. In the past.
By the way, did you see my response about the use of Mr. Steinbrenner yesterday?
big buff test
SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PENS TIE IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope Matt Cooke dies. Along with Sather.
Pittsburgh cooked it! 4-4.
Matt Cooke, the Savard hitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt Cooke is a dudebag!
Matt Cooke is a Savard concusser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overtime works for me.
I really cant stand the manager of the Orioles, William Shatner!!!
Stupid league! I want to watch SJ-Colorado, and now with this game in OT, that game won’t be shown until this one is over! Die Matt Cooke!
Why would you want to watch the first and/or second period of another game over an overtime potential elimination game?
I’m glad they’re not switching, unless it was NYR.
Because I HATE Pittsburgh.
CROSBY just got taken down!!!!!!!!!!
COME ON!!!! THATS A PENALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pens win. Series over!
SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN PENS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bye-bye, Ottawa!
Congratulations Buttman! Cindy is on his way over to your house tonight!
Salty Dupuis must be in an orgasmic state of mind after seeing that goal.
This Charisa girl drives me nuts with her “Guys” after everyone of her useless player interviews.
oh joy, pittsbugh advances. We get more of the Crosby love-fest. My favorite thing EVAH!
CROSBY!!! HOTTEST PITTSBURGH PENGUIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOO
WOOOOOOO
If the Caps advance, its C YA to the BRUISN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it when I get what I want!!!!!!
SIDNEY!!!! HOT SIDNEY!!! I love those lips Sidney!!!! Especially when you’re kicking the snot out of the Penguins.
I LOVE YOU SIDNEY!!! FOR 3 more weeks!!!!!
Come on Caps. I want Sidney to POUND THE BRUINS!!!!
SIDNEY….If you read this blog…....
POUND THE BRUINS!!! FOR ME!!!
Gary Bettman and the referees will stab you in the back.
ITS UP TO YOU TO TAKE DOWN THE BRUINS!!!!!
Less espresso, CR. You’ll live longer. LOL.
Buffalo Sabres will beat the Bruins in game 6 and 7. they were down 3-1 in the series, but they will still win it.
Pitt will play Buffalo
and Wash will play Flyers
SIDNEY is gonna pound Tuuuuuuuuukkka!!!!!!
Ive joined the group known as the Crosbeeyotches!!!!!!!!
Ill gladly be Crosbys beeeeeeyotch as long as he pounds the Bruins!!!!!!!
MickeyM
Im not long for this life!!!!!
Too many years have been taken off my life from the Rangers and the rest of my teams….oh, and my failed marriage!!!!!!!!!
I might as well enjoy it while I can!!! And when Crosby pounds the living carcillo out of Tuuukkka, I am gonna be one happy mother Hartneller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CR
Say Boston loses. Are you still a “Crosbeeyotch”.
ya know what? this sounds like a typical pens fan.
he gets over the top upset when the series isn’t even on the line. i’m sure he was angry because his wife probably said something akin to “why is that number 87 always falling down and then whining to the referees?”
http://www.wpxi.com/news/23241743/detail.html
(yes, i know it’s a terrible incident!)
NO!!!
Once Boston loses, Im back on the Sidney-dislike wagon, but Ill always appreciate and remember the azzkicking he laid on Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkkkka!!!
CR, At least you’re enjoying the ride, huh? ;)
man the wicky household is tought to get a computer in….sheesh!!!
I don’t think it is a biased rule about the fighting and boston. It is a stupid rule to begin with (suspension for fight in last few minutes or whatever). I dont’ understand why malkin wasn’t suspended last year after the fight with datsyuk at the end of one of the finals games.
ok slats, the sens are done (that sucks) time to go get the russian hammer and sutton!!!
sorry CR9
