From John Tortorella’s pre-game presser:
Same lineup tonight.
“They know what’s at stake. They have known what’s at stake for a number of weeks now. So we go through our same routine and we go play.
“It’s not talked about. We know where we’re at. We’ve known where we’re at for a number of weeks here. Obviously they’re more excited right now because they have earned—as we always talked about, we need(ed) to take it one game at a time to try to make these games against Philly important. This is the first one against Philly. They’ve earned the right to have an important game and I think they feel good about that. Now they’re going to play.”
On Callahan’s return:
“Obviously it helps our penalty killing and I think Cally’s still trying to find his way back into what he does for this hockey club. I think he’s adjusted a little bit to even wearing a brace. But to have him on the bench at key times … I think tonight’s going to be a very important game where we have a Ryan Callahan because I think it’s going to be quite a bit of board play, where he is one of the best at it, as far as pucks out, pucks in, all that stuff we talk about. And again he’s just so well respected in the room that it’s important to have him on the bench. He gives you a lot of different situations you can put him in.”
EVENING UPDATE, 5:28 P.M.: The Flys still won’t say whether Carter will play, but odd are he will. Or at least that’s the guess of the people around the team.
