• Olli Jokinen tallied an unassisted goal at 12:57 of the second period to tie the score at two goals apiece, and added an assist on Prospal’s goal earlier in the frame to register his 11th multi-point performance of the season.  Jokinen also posted a plus-three rating and captured First Star honors, and has now recorded three points (one goal and two assists) in the last two games.
• Defenseman Marc Staal notched the game-winning goal at 5:05 of the third period and logged 25:18 of icetime.  Staal has registered five of his six goals away from MSG this season, tying for fifth on the team in road goals.

• P.A. Parenteau registered an assist on Staal’s game-winning goal, and finished the contest with a plus-three rating in 17:50 of icetime.  Parenteau has now recorded a point in each of the last two games (one goal and one assist) since being recalled from Hartford (AHL) on Friday.
• Rookie defenseman Michael Del Zotto registered the primary assist on Prospal’s second period goal, and has now recorded six points (two goals and four assists) in the last five games.
• Aaron Voros and Chris Drury each recorded an assist on Gaborik’s 40th goal of the season at 17:15 of the second period.  Voros has now skated in each of the last two games, having registered a game-high six hits on Saturday at Toronto, after not appearing in each of the previous 12 contests and 15 of the last 17 games prior to Saturday.  Drury has now registered six assists and seven points in the last nine games.
• The Blueshirts do not have practice scheduled for tomorrow, Mar. 31.
• The Rangers return to action on Friday, Apr. 2, when they will face-off against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum (7:30 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back set.  The game will be televised live on MSG Network and can be heard on 1050 ESPN Radio.

  1. Sather's WrapUp on

    For the visually impaired…
Hey there, Ranger Fans! Looks like a big game out on the island tonight. Unfortunately, I won’t be there, got another date with Megan Fox. Maybe I’ll get lucky again! See if ORR can get THAT image out of his head. He he he…

Muck! Muckler! Did you hear the fans chanting during the game when we were 2 goals down? Sounded a lot like FIGHT A SAILOR. See if you can find out what it means. Oh, and tell them they better stop playing Zoot Suit Riot during stoppages. Just in case…

(singing) “The best things in life are free, But you can keep them for the birds and bees, Now give me money,That’s what I want!” Uh-oh. That’s Dolan’s newest ringtone. I better get this… Hey There Big Guy! What? What about the playoffs? Don’t worry we aren’t done yet. Plenty of time left. I know you’re counting on that playoff money for your Cranio-Rectal Inversion Operation. Tell me, is it being inserted or removed? (click)

Keenan! Start warming up, I may have to put you in as coach soon. Now go over to Dolan’s office and calm him down. You did? When? You gave him your resume? Listen don’t get any ideas. Have you ever played Whack-A-Mole? Well just remember, I have the only hammer and all you guys are the freakin’ moles. Get it?

You think that we don’t have Ranger Fans throughout the World? Recently, I got a letter from a Ranger fan way out in Africa! I got it from this Chief Mubumbo of the Luganda Tribe of East Africa. It says, “Thank you for sending Ranger Road Tour bus for visit to our village. We had huge feast with tour bus and we ask you send Ranger people out here next year, too. That last batch was delicious!”

By the way, the Chief has e-mailed me to get personally involved with a plan to transfer millions in funds out of his country, right into my personal bank account. I’m gonna make a bundle on this!

  3. Haha, what makes you think all gay guys like to wear wigs, and rub gold dust all over their body?

I remember on my b-day a long time ago, i went to Survivor Series at the Garden, and Goldust came out, and he looked me right in the eyes.

I was horrified for the rest of the night. One of the most uncomfortable moments I’ve ever had.

  4. Good night, Carp! Good eats? There’s tons of charoset & tsimmis left over. Help yourself!

ilb, seder last night was at mom #2’s place. Tonight was at mom #1’s. Saturday night at my house! All boneheads who are hungry, let them come eat!

CCCP, how’s the shibby revolution going?

Two points closer to the beard contest!

  6. Well, thank you Linda for that comparison to Goldust. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Just because I would get into bed, perhaps, with the Jaromir or Henrik or Jeteroes, does that make me queer (odd)?! :)

Ever heard the saying, get into bed with dogs, wake up with flea……..

When you go to bed with Jaromir or Henrik, you are going to bed with Kings, so you wake up as Royalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Linda GO PRUST on

    lmao call me visually impaired!

a big win over the mincedfishlanders and NOONE’s here, then again it IS midnight on the EC

  8. Who here can honestly say that they do not dream that they could get a taste/piece of Jaromir or Henrik?!?!?!?!

  9. Linda GO PRUST on

CR is a man comfortable with his sexuality enough to be able to appreciate a man he thinks is good looking , dats all ;-)

  10. Orr

I want me some of Hanks Swedish meatballs!!

If thinking about Jaromir or Hank is unhealthy, then I dont want to be healthy!

Seriously? Hank? You do not dream of Hankie and little Hankie? :)

  11. Linda GO PRUST on

seriously CR,he’s too pretty for me. Dude is good looking for sure, just too perfect. lmao @ Little hankie…you just made me think of Mr. Hankie from south park, that is not good!!

  12. not one of you thought that while some rangers read carp they definitely do not have time to read all these comments. so get over yourselves. they are reading carp not youse guys and gals

  13. “And of course the jerk store would run out of me, I’m a popular guy. Just ask all of the people that say they ignore me, yet always respond to me, ahaha.”

i believe in thinking for myself, ahaha.

“Not counting JJP. He claims that he “skips my posts”, yet he posts once every 2-4 months to let me know. Another doofus.”

dropping names on the internets? btw who is JJP. did Jagr get married to a feminazi or do you = attention hoowa?

you’re in way over your head, mental midget ;)

    have a great night kids!

  14. Hey something most of us have probably not thought about… If you look at the standings, Rangers may or may not make the playoffs, but they will have easily a top ten pick.

  15. ZzZz NYR ZzZz " Nothing to lose ,baby!!! " … says Greg L. on

YO ,Not One ….yer telling me that the players that do take the time to read Carp…they Dont look at the messages??? Are you serious?? Why wouldnt they? They have the time to read an article on stuff they already know , going to the comments is INSIGHT. Real fans INSITE. Some players might feed off of it , others simple couldnt care less and ignore it. You sound a little bit jealous that I was sharing a few beers with Brashear and you wernt here. Too bad buddy!! You snooze , you lose!!!

  16. ZzZz NYR ZzZz " Nothing to lose ,baby!!! " … says Greg L. on
