To answer a few questions from the previous thread. I shot an 84, also. For 15 holes. A little more than that for 18. Don’t know if you guys who live around here have played Centennial in Carmel, but it’s a great track (27 holes). The sloping greens ate my lunch today. Still beats work.
To whomever asked if I hold a grudge against old Muck … yeah, I do. Why? Because I thought he was a dreadful coach, but I didn’t dislike him until he got very, very personal with me. He hates me. Said some extremely crude things about me, repeatedly, to the Ottawa guys. I don’t really care. He also called some of his young players nice things like “garbage” and so I have very little respect for him. Whatever. I still can’t believe Neil Smith hired him, and ultimately the GM who won the Stanley Cup lost his job on that transaction.
And I love it when some peabrain complains he doesn’t like this blog and you Boneheads come to my defense. You are the best.

carp was a typo by somebody, when they meant crap. So it became “Aw, carp.” Or “Lundqvist better cut out this carp.” Or, as Frank Barone might say, “Holy carp.”
But the later definition is when your comment comes at the end of a thread, just before or after I put up a new post. So your comment is never seen. That is getting carped. Most Boneheads just repost on the new post upon being carped.

I will always have a problem with his paycheck, always, but he has been a pretty damn good player in this league before. Not an elite superstar, but a good, effective player. That is all I want. I want a captain. And if he is not going to be a very loud, outspoken captain, then he needs to take what he learned playing with Joe Sakic, and lead in other ways. He will never be the goal scorer Sakic was, but Drury can be that kind of leader on the ice, when he plays with urgency, and like he cares. We haven’t seen it enough from him. That is partly what is so frustrating about him at times. He will play a game like this, and then play a stretch of games that just look like he could care less. I think he does care though. I really do.

I actually think boyle has some skill and is a good start to a 4th line that can pot some goals. but look at his wingers. Voros who can barely skate but gives his all and brashear who cant take a punch to the ribs let alone be an offensive force. Give Boyle some more talented wingers who can actually play the game and we could be effective.
Will be interesting to finally see Sangs, however we really need defensive defensemen more so than another offensive d-man at the moment i’d say.

vokoun played great as did lundqvist…rangers defense was pretty solid, especially since they played 1 then 2 defensemen down at times

no secondary scoring yet again, but they definitely had their chances…
i get the feeling that tortorella and the team are starting to know each other
before it seemed like the team did as tortorella said because they were scared of getting in trouble, but i think adjustments on both sides made the relationship between torts and the players more mutual and more respectful

Higgins was fine, but imagine a forward with Gaborik and Prospal who actually had speed and skills. And will they bring up another defenseman? Good game.
